Haha season 2 was disappointing since nothing happened with lots of loli filler nonsense from the half way point but maybe odd number is the magic number. I would have preferred a Grimgar second season
Best news of the week. This year we can expect to see a lot of good quality animes. Im waiting for Made in Abyss movie to be subbed and appear in Nyaa, probably this week. There is also news about the second season will follow made in abyss after the movie. And now we got this news. I couldn't be happier now. I beg to differ. Season 2 shows a lot of character development, even the characters that aren't in Shiroe's guild. They also unveil Shiroe's background and all. It might be boring for some people who expected a lot of action and things, but it feels balanced and well thought direction. It doesn't feel rushed and most of all, the quality was well maintained for the whole season.
I said half way point. My issue is not lack of action. Log Horizon was never action heavy. Akatsuki trying dresses for the 100th time is not character development These are called Bottle episodes https://cheddar.com/media/why-every-tv-show-has-a-noticeably-boring-episode Season 2 had a lot of them. I believe one episode was dedicated to a female character getting Shiroe a present. That young girl I believe..Minami I think she was called It was loli fan service. I enjoyed season 1 because of the strategy and business management. I never watched Log Horizon for action. Many on here can attest to the fact that I am a sucker for business management stories. I just don't like it when people excuse loli crap. It is like nudity. It sells, doesn't make it any less gratuitous
In my opinion even those episodes, and the one about minami have at least a bit of character development. In the one about minami, it shows how minami redefined her resolve in being a disciple of shiroe. That in itself is character development , at least in my definition
