Okay so I read the chapters in rawdevart until chapter 64. I used some translator but it's still blurry so I'm not really sure if I got it right. But so far this what I read: So MC went to town and tried to help stop this evil mob from doing greedy business and when it was going to become chaotic, a white kngiht lady came and stopped it. She judged MC saying how nobles shouldn't act recklessly and how she shouldn't be alone without a guard in the market just because she wants to have fun alone and etc. White Knights don't really like nobles much even tho the girl knight was a noble herself. The time of the wedding is approaching so she went to get dresses, the dressmaker and assistant was worried since they have heard the rumors of how extravagant MC is. But the moment MC comes they like her. MC was shown the extravagant gowns but she doesn't want to wear those just because there are lots of jewels and etc. She is fine with simple and less jewels but with embroidery that is very intricate and elegant. She likes off shoulders and etc. She gives pointers to what she likes and the dressmaker takes note and shows her the ones she had with the pointers given. MC nods and likes the ones in front of her and when she was picking ML suddenly arrives and tells her that she would look nice in the light colored gown. MC is shocked that he is here but nods at the suggestion and tries it on. ML was sitting down and when MC comes back in to show the gown fitting, ML's eyes shine. He was awestruck at how beautiful she was and he says that he was right. Light colored dresses look perfect on her. MC appreciates the comment and tells the dressmakes that she wants a light dress for the wedding and etc. They proceed to go home and after eating they take a walk and enjoy some bonding. The day of the wedding was wonderful. MC was beautiful and ML so handsome. They exchanged vows. Before the wedding, MC was worried because it was said that the royalfamily there don't do divorces. Knowing that they don't love each other and how maybe the ML will find someone and can't be together with her because he can't divorce. Mc was worried but then she remembers ML and her walking at the garden before and how he took her hand. She erases the worries and continues on to the wedding. They danced and they were smiling happily. MC befriends three noble girls whom she thinks are influential in the social circle. The three girls are a bit like her. Fun but responsible and etc. The wedding night they did not do anything. ML told MC that he was willing to wait for her until she feels ready. MC was so thankful. They both slept together in the same bed. MC's body was showing too much, ML thought 'i just promised you but you're already tempting me like this' but he does nothing and just covers her body. Anyway, moving on, it was time for MC to receive the oaths of the black knights which were the other order of knights who protect the people. White kinghts are the ones who roam around the territory to stop any "winter" attacks. (Winter or allendis is the main villain). Anyway, MC was shown to the wrong venue because the one who escorted her is the grandson of the head butler which was still in training and he got the location wrong. So instead at the black knights gathering, she went to the white knights. And they were in shock knowing that she was supposed to be at the black knights to receive their oath. There was this one white knight who is excellemt at reading others magic and when he tried reading MC's he couldn't gage it because it's too powerful. Anyway, MC excuses herself because she realized she was at the wrong venue and tried to go but then the head of the white knights' head thought of this as a fate of some sort, so he asked her that if she can pass the test, she can also receive the white knights' oath. MC being calm and composed accepted the challenge. White knights were known to be ruly so lo and behold, two white knights suddenly appear. They were fighting each other. The head then thought that the test should be is to stop those two white knights from fighting. She can use whatever means to stop them. The white knights thought it impossible. But then MC just went closer to the two knights fighting and demonstrated her destruction powers by splitting the earth between the two. They immediately stopped and stumbled away from each other. Everyone was shocked of the power of their new grand duchess. They acknowledge her and gave their oath. Remember the girl white knight, (name elena or lina), she was awestruck at MC. She chased after her and apologized for her rude behavior before knowing fully that the MC had the situation under control at the market before and that she wasn't some snuck up, irresponsible noble. She then also kneeled and gave MC her oath. She also asks that if she could be the MC's official personal head knight. MC refuses. Lina is shocked and tries to persuade her because finally Lina found someone worth serving for but MC refuses saying she doesn't believe in knights. Lina is shocked and bothered. But she was so stubborn and determined to be close to her recognized master that she gave up her white knight status (she was the strongest one there) and applied as the personal head maid of MC. Thus, she got closer to MC. Lina is more of a puppy that she is so happy that she can finally serve the one she vows to protect forever. Even sending papers she does it with utmost diligence.
MC and ML gets closer everytime they meet. There was that time when ML had to go out to investigate about allendis trouble. MC was fine thar she can do the picking of other personal maids for her. But she had to go out of the palace to meet her 3 maid candidates. When she went, there was one missing. But MC already suspected the 2nd candidate because she was the one who suggested to look outside for the third. She told lina to be alert. So yeah, 2nd maid candidate was an accomplice to allendis and how they want to kill MC so as to not raise anymore "Winterbreak" babies. (ML has winterbreak abilities. The ability to contrast with allendis power which is winter). They attack and etc. When Lina was being attacked and was almost stabbed by some sort of magic, MC covers her and was the one to be stabbed. On the other hand, ML finally realized that what he visited was the diversion and how they were targeting his wife. He immiediately tries to go after her but when he comes to the place where she was supposed to be she was out looking for a missing candidate. He stumbles and thought that he was too late. How can he save her. Then he saw these little stones that leads to somewhere and he followed it. Right on time, he saves MC from falling after being stabbed by the black magic thingy. ML defeats the winter accomplice and they take MC back home. There ML stays at her side for how many days (i thinks it was 2 to 3) and how he kept asking the doctor how to save her and the doctor said that he had no other choice but to give the winterbreak power. ML was devastated because he didn't want to give that power to her. He remembers his mom and how she died protecting the kingdom with that power. All grand duke and grand duchess have the winterbreak power. Once they are married,they should pass on the power to the spouse. But ML did not give it to MC because he was afraid that she would get involve with this struggle against allendis. But he had no choice. He wanted her to live so he gave her the power and waited for her to wake. It took time since MC had destruction powers. It was still interconnecting. But yeah she woke up and was so happy to see ML. ML was happy also that she finally woke up. And explained the winterbreak power to her. MC doesn't blame ML about it. And that if this never happened and she didn't get to receive the power which was supposed to be tradition she would have sulked at ML for keeping it a secret. Anyway they consoled and when it was fluffy time they get interrupted. Lina comes inside and looks devastated and how she was so sorry for having the lady protect her instead of her. It was her fault for not receiving the oath with the grand duke. White knights are the also people with winterbreak power. But in order for them to gain that power they shall pledge allegiance to ML and swore to protect his life with their life. Lina was the only exception because she did not swore to ML. But she regrets it now. Because if only she had winterbreak powers she could have saved MC. There she asks ML to give her the pwer and she swore to him but ML says that she wont be able to be with MC. Lina says that she will always be with MC even though she swore to him, the one she will protect is MC even if the knight honor will be tainted because of that action. But before that, MC interrupts and says, why won't you ask me to give you the power? Lina says that she doesn't want MC to do something she hates. She then tells her how she said she didnt believe in knights and etc. MC smiles and tells her that she believes in her and she would be happy for her to be her personal knight. (MC was betrayed before by a knight who showed worried feelings for her but when the knight was not with her, he talked behind her back and how he was faking to be kind so that he can be raised in the ranks. Apparently MC just needed affection and bam, he can manipulate MC. MC got mad and yeah didnt believe in knights after that.) But after days with Lina, she saw how dedicated Lina was with her. And how when she was called extravagant and evil, she immediately went for her defense) so yeah. Lina became head knight of MC
Anyway, continue on. The candidates became MC's maids. There were two. The one that was missing was found. Apparently she was tricked by the second candidate and when she finally realized that they were in danger she escaped and tried to warn MC but she fainted along the way due to an injury from her escape. There were MC and ML bondings again. There was a time where ML took MC to a jewelry store and bought her jewels. MC was happy and touched by his gesture. ML closed the whole shop so that she pick her jewels alone. When they rode the carriage going back, she asked why he bought her these he said that he wanted to do something for her because she never asked for anything from him. He wanted her to smile and get things that she likes and he was happy that she did. Another fluff moment. I think here ML was starting to realize how much he wanted her in his life. Anyway, in MC's hometown, it' true that some are questioning MC's little sister. The moment MC went away, the charity events and other stuff went downhill. It wasn't same as before. They are still doubting Mc's sisters. The bestfriend of that sister was also starting to feel doubt in the sister's way of thinking. She understood that socializing was important to keep good relations but the sister keeps on complaining on how it's too extravagant and how snobbish and wasteful are those women who indulge themselves in wearing such extravagance when they could give it to the poor. Albeit, sister got a gift from a suitor. An expensive necklace and she wore it happily. It came with an invitation to a party. Bestfriend was there to compliment but sister just said that the gift was too extravagant when it could have been given to the poor but bestfriend thinks darkly on how sister is a hypocrite for saying that when she's making such a happy face for receiving such an expensive gift. Then they talk about the party, bestfriend says that she can't go with her because she'll be with another lady. Sister then said 'oh that lady who wears such expensive frills. She could have gone and wear something simple, nobles should give more to the poor than all these parties and socializing.' Bestfriend tells her to not judge a person by what she wears. Sister then makes a face and changes topic on how she's a different person than others. On how her soul always changes and is not meant to be kept in the social and party world. Bestfriend says something that i don't understand. But i think it was mocking sister. Anyway, bestfriend really liked sister before because she saved her when there was a fight and she got hurt or something, and sister was there to save her. But now that they are all grown up and with responsibilities, she saw how sister's views are too naive and how she is kind of self centered even if she preaches on helping others. Bestfriend liked her but now... she tears off the necklace which i think is their bond(?)
MC's new friends. The three girls she talked at the wedding were coming to visit her. She redecorated the guest room and etc. ML also helped with the shopping which bonded them again. Anyway, one of the friends name was louisa, she has a brother. They were the kind of siblings that were cats and dogs. He wondered what kind of person was the grand duchess for her to befriend such a beast as her sister. Sister gets mad and they start arguing again. Yeah that kind of relationship. Brother, (i think his name was youzhen) was called by his father. Father tells him to go with his sister at the grand duke's palace. Since he was his heir, he needs to establish good relations with the grand duke. But youzhen wasn't really thrilled because he does not get why should he. But then father tells him that he should because he's not going there for himself but for the family. He then takes out a pendant and tells youzhen that they were very vulnerable to allendis attacks (winter attacks). And this pendant was used to protect them. But it has long been drained. They did not need it before but father has heard from various sources that allendis attacks have been starting again and that they should be vigilant. So they need to recharge the pendant to protect their family. To recharge it, they need the winterbreak power which the grand duke has. So yeah, he goes with his sister to the grand duke's palace
So the sister didn't purposely malicious but a sheltered naive rich girl. If someone didn't correct her thinking asap, something bad will happen to her, I am sure.
When the friends and the brother arrive at the palace, they saw MC and they were happy. Youzhen, somehow experienced a love at first sight thing. He was captivated by MC. He introduced himself and kissed her hand, turning on the charm hard. Then ML came out, called out to MC as his WIFE and welcomed the guests. MC was slightly surprised that he called her wife but didn't mind. But i think ML was jealous when he saw youzhen kiss MC's hand. So yeah, the friends bonded. Youzhen was captivated by MC. Also youzhen told ML about the pendant and ML told him that it would take time since the pendant itself is broken so he can't just directly input power so he will have to wait to get it. Youzhen wasn't very fond of ML. He thought that ML was too distant. Too stern. They were at the same school before and ML always had this unapproachable aura. Anyway, when all of them were at the dining table talking, ML suddenly arrives and gives MC his coat telling her that if she's fine especially since she just got attacked and all. She said she was and thanks her for the coat. The three friends were giggling at the affectionate gesture. Youzhen was kind of jealous. Next day, MC and youzhen coincidentally meet and youzhen invites her to walk with him in the garden. They talk and youzhen likes her more. Then MC talks about how he and ML were schoolmates and MC wants to know how ML was as a student. Youzhen feels sad and says that they were not close for him to say anything about him that much. MC just nods and they talk some more. ML then spots them walking happily and he feels jealous. When MC trips and youzhen catches her, he grips the windowsill so hard it cracks. He gets out of his reverie when butler comes. At that time he realizes that he's falling. Oh! Yeah, before the friends arrived, MC and ML had a moment at the office. ML went to see her and they got to talking and ML's hand was stroking MC's face then the butler arrives and tells her that the friends have arrived, MC pushes ML's hand and ML felt shocked and sad. Now when he saw her smike at her friends, at that guy, he feels so jealous. He wanted her smile to be directed at him. He's been thinking much about the time they talked where he said he doesn't need/want her love. And that sentence was his only consolidation before but now it is his shackle. He feels like the moment he confesses he loves her, their perfect relationship will crumble.
I kinda figured that the younger sister's happy pipe dreams are going to pop one way or another. Hopefully, on the brighter side, she won't self-destruct from all her dreams of herself being the best heroine. At worst she will self-destruct and everyone will see she is empty and fake. I mean she even once said that the emperor wanted because he was infatuated with her. While we the reader know that now to be false - she kept repeating it as if she was stating the truth. Which is not just annoying but creepy. It's as if she's high off her own fumes.
That's why he tries to avoid her. He didn't greet her in the morning, he didn't sleep together with MC, and he won't meet her because he's busy. MC feels lonely especially since she got used to him beside her. When the ladies were having tea, they try to tease MC on how's marriage life. She then tells her that it's fine and how she's been so happy everyday the moment she came here even with an arranged marriage like this. Even though there's no love, she feels happy. Everyone then laughs at her statement because they could obviously see that both of them love each other. MC shrugs but she thinks about ML and how she misses him. Anyway, they then go out to celebrate since it was the day where they celebrate the girl who saved the land from winter. (The story is that, the place was cursed with winter. Cold everywhere and people suffering. Then this girl prayed and tried to save the land. The god of winter then tells her that in order to save it she has to bear all the cold in her heart. She accepts and when she comes back, everyone blames her because they feel the cold emanating from her. She then died later when her heart finally froze completely and the land was saved. Everybody then realized they were wrong and felt sorry for the girl and thankful that she saved them. Thus, they hailed her as a hero.) So yeah they were celebrating that, the girls went out and had fun. Youzhen was there but when they arrived at the village he suspiciously tells them he needs to do something and separates from the group. (Before that, he was playing a mellow sound in the piano about a guy falling for a girl who is impossible for him to get. One of the friends told him that he shouldn't pursue this. She noticed how youzhen was with MC especially since she also saw their walk. She warned him that he shouldn't covet what is not his. And this puts him in a damp mood since he finally realize that he likes her and that he could never have her.) Anyway, yeah the girls have fun. Then the end of the festival comes near and there was a play. It was fun. Youzhen arrives and it was time for the dancing. Two of the girls dance. MC just smiles and thinks of ML. Youzhen then invites MC to dance with him. MC was shocked and before she could answer, somebody grabs her hand. It was ML wearing a mask which had a superstition which i did not get but it was about love coming true. Anyway, they dance and MC then says that she missed him and that it was sad without him especially since everytime she sees him, she would feel safe. ML stopped and felt so happy. They danced happily. Youzhen in the side felt envious, he only wanted to dance with her once but he couldn't even do that. His jealousy was heightened and then he collapsed. Allendis was there and he targeted youzhen with his negative feelings. Everyone panicked. MC glanced and saw youzhen. And then the black thingy that stabbed her went out of her body and she collapsed also. ML catches her and tried to soothe her. They try to capture allendis but he gets away. He then told MC that he would take back what she has stolen and goes away. They take MC back to the palace. Apparently, MC is suffering because there are 3 powers battling within her. The destruction power, the winterbreaker, and the winter power. ML tells MC to concentrate and find the roots of these powers. He tells her to use the winterbreaker to destroy the winter power. And she does that and she gets better. She also gets stronger since the destruction power and the winterbreaker power combined and made her more powerful than before. They then speculate that what allendis said was that MC had the allendis power. Since the creation of that kingdom, there were two houses that supported the royals. The granddukes family, winterfelt, and the allendis family. Allendis family were a fanatic in their god. They believed that winter was better and etc. They became badder and tried to control the king with their power. Granddukes family defeats them with their winterbreaker power and ever since they have been fighting. So yeah, they think the destruction power was the allendis' family power. They don't understand how she got it especially since she comes from a diff kingdom and has no relatives here. Anyway so yeah they speculate that they are gonna target her.
Also! Fluff moment! ML and MC were talking how they didn't know what to do if they can never see each other again. ML then finally tells her that he loves her. MC smiles and tells him she loves him too. ML touches her cheek like the one before the friends arrived and instead of slapping it away like before, MC leans and nuzzles the hand. Then they kiss! YIIIEHHH i think this was chapter 63? Anyway yeah! Finally!
Thanks Onymous! I was waiting on these spoilers. I've been "reading" the raws to see how the story is progressing. I'm still hoping that the sister gets her just desserts for being so haughty and spoiled.
Her fault is being too prejudiced to the other side of the coin. Just like one of those isekai stories where the girl who was the real protagonist of the story (but not anymore) goes and gives out charity everywhere and always because it is what's "right" and blames the villain for not accepting ber proposals of these charities and when villainess goes away and the charity continues, the kingdom goes into ruin due to bankruptcy. The sister is the haughty one not the nobles.
In regards to how mc was able to "steal" the destruction power, is it possible that she's actually adopted? Cuz if she were, it'd kinda make sense why the parents were so unfair in their treatment. Maybe she was given to them and as she grew up they realize she was capable but a pushover, so they stuck with it cuz then they'd make her instead of their own daughter do the hard work in management.. Nevertheless, curious how she was able to acquire such a strong power
