Part 7: - One winter day, the based was attacked by a zombie tide. Citizens were not allowed to join the battle. The team thought the army might soon run out of ammunions because many soldiers used bows/crossbows and arrows. The 200k people camping the base were mostly wiped out. - After the zombie tides, people were more reluctant to go out. The base situation worsened due to crimes. - On MC's birthday which MC forgot, ML took MC out to a village and made him cook while he secretly made a cake for MC. MC accidentally kissed ML. - After the birthday meal, MC and ML found people cutting trees outside. The group stayed overnight in another house and got attacked by about 200+ zoombies. MC and ML tried to run but got involved. One man took everyone to a cellar in a house to hide. 10 people survived, including Shi Naixian (the creepy ex-captain). Guy tried to approach them in the dark and got stomped. - At night, a guy tried to r*pe the woman in the group. ML saved her. She slashed the man and killed him when he turned into a zombie a few hours later. - 3 days later, people ran out of food&water. There were still some zombies left but enough to run. One man made noises to attract zombies and got knocked down by ML. Zombies killed him. (It was the second time the man led zombies to them.) After running far enough, they escaped into space to clean up and recover. When they went to bed, accidents happened and they both helped each other. (You know what I meant.) - They returned to the base. The team gave MC a late birthday party. - The weather turned weird. Two days later, the team got caught in the second solar storm when they were out. The base closed the door for those exposed to the sun outside and shot the cars coming near. ML and MC lost contact with the other car, drove to the woods and hid in space. MC watched the people outside. Zombies evolved again but some people awakened abilities and two groups fought. - After the solar storm, MC and ML came out, found the other half of the team and gave them some food. The team spent the night outside the walls. A few other cars were also trapped outside. - Since they ran out of food and MC couldn't just take things out of space, the team drove to L city to find supplies. They had a hard time with zombies this time. They found some rice and with some water MC secretly took out from space, they made some rice. - A group of uninvited visitors with 3 psionists intruded to seize their food. Two teams fought. They managed to beat up the group after the other team almost ran out of power, finished lunch and returned. - They spent another day outside the walls. (Of course, ML and MC were in space instead of suffering like the other suckers.) ML knew MC liked him that way but MC was 17 and underage. - Next day, the door opened, letting people in. By Chinese NY, the base cleaned up those got zombified due to the solar storm. The team had a NY dinner. ML gave MC some base points as NY money. - Xiao Hulin came by to borrow some gasoline. His team (Confused team) had split due to family conflict. He also brought news of a space powered person protected by the military. ML sent the bro and a guard to investigate. They found out that there were 200 psionists, including 3 with space. The base stopped capturing psionists for research but forced them to cooperate with the research and drafted with promised better treatment. - ML started distancing himself from MC. MC wanted to confess, hoping that even if ML rejected him, ML still kept him around. - MC went out with Tang Xin and two dogs this time for a bro trip. - ML, MC and some ppl from Xiao Hulin headed out to rescue ML's people who got trapped by zombies in Fangzhen while they were out. Two of ML's ppl (Tang Wen and Tang Qi) got power (water and fire). They struggled against the zombies but with the two nmanaged to help the trapped team break out. When MC was about to be killed by zombies, ML awakened to ability (thunder with sub-fire) and saved him. They returned to the base. Three people in ML's team got detained due to injuries and later sent back after they didn't zombify. - ML got drunk and made some inappropriate moves on MC. MC took him in space and decided to take advantage of the situation. In the morning, MC sent ML out, regretted the night, left a letter and ran away. He filled out a basement in a village nearby to let ML collect and hid in space. Later, ML's team drove out (probably to collect supplies MC left). - MC drove around and decided to come back. He took ML into space and confessed. They established relationship. MC tried to press ML but got pressed instead. Afterward, ML told MC about his dream in which he loved MC but kept their relationship pure and eventually died after blocking a gunshot for MC. - The team had a meeting and determined the power depended on mental and physical power. Thus, they set a more challenging training schedule and reequiped the team. MC switched out the house water to help the team. - Six ppl took the task to hit a fertilizer plant. ML chose not to help the other team car because they wanted the team to inspire abilities. MC took an opportunity to tell Tang Xin about their relationship when they were alone. Bro sai he knew. ML had told him on the day MC ran away. - At the plant, the bro was in life danger but didn't want them to help. He managed to wake up wind power. A group of people showed up with zombies and threatened to tell the army about Tang Xin's power if they refused to help. ML still wanted to withdraw since they couldn't handle so many zombies. MC tried to use his mental power but got hurt. Their team retreated in a house. They jumped from the 2nd floor to a truck but got attacked by zombies. MC and ML were still in the building but ML ordered the team to drive away. MC tried to enter space with ML but coughed more blood and passed out. MC's consciousness was still awake. He realized his space was evolving and would make him weak for 10 days as space absorbed strength from him. The plants didn't stop maturing like before (and while the fruits would be lost if not picked but vegetables could make seeds) and he also got a warehouse. - After 2 days, MC managed to wake up in a car with ML. After they found that ML could enter space by himself, they cleaned up and returned to the base. - When they were away, the base got attacked by evolved zombies and suffered heavy casulties. The base swapped regular guards to powered people. The better treatment spurred many hidden powered people to join the army. - The team discussed and planned to grab a doctor and leave WH base to B base in a few days so that the injured could heal. - MC and ML went to the fertilizer plant again to collect their abandoned car earlier. ML practiced his unstable power and found after an hour, he would be drained. MC suggested him to use his mental power to spread it out to wider areas and increased his mental strength by picking fruits and veggies in space. - Once they got back, ML received an invitation to let the team join the army. Ml rejected the invitation 2 days later. - Spring came. The injured teammates recovered. Xiao Hulin agreed to take his Confused team to leave together. - 2 days before their planned leave, the team came out to do a last task. They purposedly let themselves chased by zombies back to force the base not to take a passive stand before they got overrun. Blades were now ineffective on the new L5 zombies. - The riots in the base broke out again due to the news on the L5 zombies. The base upper management had to release the stats on the abilities to calm down the citizens. - Since they needed to leave and take away the materials. ML had a meeting with the team and told them about he had space power. - Next day, they collected everything their house and Xiao Hulin's house in space, left behind a time bomb and drove empty cars separately out of the base under the name of doing missions. - Shortly out of the base, they got chased by military cars. Soon, everyone got surrounded by zombies and there were more zombies rushing to the base. With the two team's powered people, they managed to run away. - While they were taking a rest on the road, some military and civillians cars appeared and took a rest nearby. The military leader was Chen Li, an acquaitance. It appeared that after ML's team left, the base got overrun by zombies and these were some of the survivors. - ML didn't want to go with these people and lied that they were going to city C instead of B base. - On the highway, they found the now-baseless Commander/Captain He's convoy in front and followed behind. When the road were blocked, they stopped and sent out the space powered ppl to move cars. Capt. Jun recognized ML's team and Xiao Hulin team and suggested cooporation. With the new formation, ML's team and Hulin's team were in front the He's team was in the back. They ran away when the zombies arrived but got attacked by a grp of L5 zombies. On the way, another person in their team gained wind ability. - The grp left the city and spent a peaceful night at a gas station and continued the next day.
Part 8: - The convoy arrived at B base and paid 1/4 of the carried materials to enter. The base had joint leadership between Zhang and Gu family. It was more prosperous than WH base with strong protection and large veggie fields. The currency was zombie nuclear. The bases supplied 2 days of free food and expelled the still homeless and jobless to the outer city after this probation period. - Two teams bought 2 adjacent houses and investigated the situation. Base B didn't draft powered people. Joining however gained a lot of benefits. - They went to the psionic guidance center to take a lesson. They met Gu Linfeng (who had an interest in MC) from the Gu family. - MC's bro asked MC if he really decided to be in a relationship with ML and gave him a gift. - The team had a meeting and decided against joining the army due to the complex power control. They planned to earn crystals to expand and grow their 12-person team instead since the B base's teams here had somewhere between 130-220 people. - They went out to kill zombies and met Chen Li. At night, Chen Li came to their residents and asked to join ML's team (Fruit Corp.) with his now ex-soldier 15-man team. ML wanted them to pass the 'interview' first. - Next day, two teams met at a school playground for a match. Since ML wanted them to join, he let the weaker members fight and Chen Li's team won. ML sent Chen Li's ppl out to fight zombies. They found that the base sold classrooms/dorms in the school as cheap housings and bought the entire school, thus settling the Chen Li's grp housing problem. They set up training schedule, work, veggie planting and other logistic issues. - ML and MC went to a village and got attacked by a yellow dog. ML's dog was weaker but managed to win. MC wanted to adopt the yellow dog and took it into space. A group of dogs showed up to seek the captured dog and attacked them when the couldn't find their leader. MC and ML took the dogs into space, pacified, and fed them with well water. - They spent the day to work on the zombies in the village and returned to the base with the dogs out. At home, ML's people had found Du Hui, the sister their dead guard entrusted to them. They let her join the team. - Their team size growth was too slow. MC volunteered to do the work, disguised himself and set up a recruiting table at the administrative center to recruit brothers. As the captain, MC recruited 27 people, including a water-powered woman. When MC took them out of the base to kill zombies on foot (poor team) but half of them bailed. After killing zombies for a while, MC took them back to the base and dropped the coward/weak ppl. MC sent them money to eat and told them to report to the quarters. - ML who had gone out bought back two mutant sheep. They reported to the base. The Zhang family soon released research that mutant animals were edible and they wouldn't be infected if hurt by mutant animals. Many base people now went out to hunt animals. - ML's team went to the mountain and got beaten up by a sheep flock. MC was separated from the team and got captured by a group of criminals. They took him to a village and he realized they were cannibals. MC left a note for ML in space. - ML's team waited outside the village for MC to save himself. Zhao Long, a team member under Chen Li, questioned ML's decision to attack even though MC had escaped. They eventually decided to obey orders without questions. - They knocked down the bad guys and sent ppl to search the village and figured out that the bad guys ate ppl. They also found 20 mutant chickens in the village and got beaten up by the flying chickens. - The 4 ppl scratched by chickens got sick and tied up. MC gave them some well water but 3/4 were still zombified. They realized the base research was wrong and wondered if there was conspiracy. - They returned to the base. Gu Linfeng from the army visited them after Zhao Long went behind ML and spread the news. Dude was detained by the military. ML let Chen Li handle the man. ML and MC planned to grab some zombies to study in space. - ML left enough materials for the team for 3 days and took MC out. They picked a pig pen as their zombie study site and grabbed a few. They met the Red Sun Team (leader Liu Gang) and agreed to work together even though the other team was wary of ML's dog. They went hunting some birds. ML's dog went mad and fought with the Red Sun Team. MC tried to save him and managed to wake him up. The dog ran away. ML chased after and put the dog in space. They tied up the dog and put its food and water nearby, which helped the dog to recover and gain fire ability. - They left the wood with the dog and found the Red Sun Team waiting by their car. Liu Gang said two of their members were bitten and he sent them away with supplies. MC and ML let the RST team leave as they walked back to capture the zombified pair and took them to the pig pen. They fed the zombies some well water and soaked them in fresh well water for 3 days. They had to return based on the schedule. ML wanted to kill the zombies but MC stopped him. - During the time MC and ML were away, the two dissatified researchers who tampered the research report were publicly executed to calm down the riots. Dead people's family also got compensated. The base organized an animal hunting operation with many people and space psionists for transportation. The space psionists not in military could choose not to participate but would be expelled from the base. They also had invented away to discover space power in ppl and tested everyone in the base. - Knowing MC had space, Tang Xin sent ppl to wait and stop them from entering the base. ML let MC out of the car as he entered the base. The instrument determined that his space was unstable but he was still drafted. ML went out again and took MC in. MC tested no space. - MC and bro decided to follow ML. Leader of the operation was Zhang Dengji from the Zhangs and Gu Linfeng from the Gu's. - After 2 days, the convoy entered the mountain and divided into team. They encountered an injured tiger. Zhang Dengji hit it and a fight broke out. The team got separated. ML was shot by a stray bullet. MC took out the bullet and dressed up the wound. - They found a cave and settled down for the night. Next morning, ML woke up. MC carried him down the mountain. They found a lot of bear traps and eventually met two ppl who took them to a village. Qin Tianfu, the village head, did not welcome them to stay. When they left, some poor labor force in the village wanted to go with them. They realized that Qin Tianfu didn't want these villagers to leave. Guy made excuses to ask the them to stay and they had to agree. - When they wanted to sneak out, they were chased by the villagers and attacked by wolves. The tiger (still with the bear trap in a paw) showed up to kill the wolves. After a short walk, MC wanted to separate and made excuses to the others to go ahead. A soldier named Li Kai. Four soldiers refused to leave them behind. They walked some more and found some zombified soldiers and Li Kai who somehow got promoted directly to L5. The tiger saved MC again. MC realized the tiger had overcome the mutation and gained power (like their dog) but it had lost a lot of blood. The other soldiers killed the remained zombies. MC took care of the tiger's injuries. - ML woke up. MC adopted the tiger and suggested to the team to stay in the forest for 2 more days since they hadn't captured any animal for the operation. ML took out a bus/truck as their temporary residents and let the soldiers leave to hunt. The soldiers came back with some preys. - They were reunited with the other half of the team which only had 3 ppl left (MC's bro, Zhang Dengji, Gu Linfeng). The other space powered person in the team also died. Now they had to borrow supplies from ML. - On the day they left, Tang Xin gave Zhang Dengji a bill on his and the soldiers' expenses. The tiger took them out and they met the other teams of the operation. Less than 2/3 people showed up. They waited for another day and drove back. - Some survivors in tractors blocked the convoy, asking to come along. The team didn't have enough food to support these people. MC helped the few with strong mental powers, thinking they would become psionists. - Back to the base, MC took the tiger in space. ML sent a guard to the pig farm where they left the captured zombies. They still hadn't recovered and thus killed. They grew their team to 80. Now the original team all had developed abilities except MC and one of the guards' wife who was always left home. (Hopeless lol.) - The two Gu brothers came by to borrow the tiger for research on behalf of the army. They refused but accepted a new task to capture 10 live evolved animals in 3 days
Part 9 (end): - MC and ML took the tiger and recruited 18 people outside the city to make up their team. There were 5 teams, 20 ppl each and their supplies were provided by the base for the mission. They hit a mountain near the base. The leader, Lao Zhou, told people that the teams would act separately and reconvene next morning. They also saw ML picking teammates so they didn't want ML to drag them down. - Other teams left. MC told the newly recruited members to act by themselves and met up at night for dinner. MC and ML left with the tiger to hunt too. - At dinner, most their team members came back with a few animals. The useless ones still got food. Lao Zhou's team also camped nearby. During the night, many zombie birds attacked the two teams. After an hour, they cleaned up the birds and dug nuclear. - 2 days later, all teams finished the mission. ML accepted five of the temporary people into the Fruit Corp. - They returned to the base. Gu Linfeng's bro came to scold them. - The thunder powered tiger had been lethargic after eating a bird nuclear but got stronger after he recovered. - The base started setting up nets to prevent zombie birds and released a research on the beneficial effect of eating nuclear for evolved animals and zombies. MC fed their dog a bunch of them. - MC and ML hosted a competition between teams. Each team had about 10 ppl. MC's team had 9 ppl and 1 dog (the non-evolved one). Their task was to grab net building materials from P city in 5 days. - Their team stopped at a recently dug canal and needed the bridge released from the other side to pass. Some men and women on the other side asked for toll roads. After they passed the bridge, they smacked the other team and grabbed a woman (Cao Hua) a hostage. Cao Hua told them her bf in the village could control zombies. They drove and got stopped by her bf's grp and released her. Sher convinced her bf to follow them to P city for supplies. Their team was taken back to the village temporarily where it was relatively safe from the zombies due to the blockage. - Soon, Cao Hua came to save them and asked them to kill her bf, accusing him of making her and everyone in the villages his slaves. - Two teams took off with controlled zombies followed. They crashed one car, killed the bf and the zombies. On the road, from Shu Xinyan (the dead bf's fiancee) they found out that Cao Hua knew hypnosis. She climbed the zombie powered man's bed and controlled him and tried to make ML her new gold master. - At P city, the found zombies concentrated at industrial park where they were supposed to pick up materials. They hid in a building to plan. ML found some rings in a jewelry shop. - The base's army team (with Zhang Dengji and Gu Linfeng) got chased by zombie birds and found shelter in their building. They had picked up Cao Hua on the way. The base's team proposed cooperation. - In the morning, they sent a bait team to lead the zombies away and entered the targeted site. MC, bro and dog entered an underground warehouse and met a L6 zombie with 2 heads. The dog developed power. MC took Tang Xin into space, left a note for ML. Later, the bros came out to kill the zombie together with flamethrowers and MC received two green nuclear. - They came out to meet up with the others. The zombies who had lost their leaders now hit them hard. MC passed out after overdraining his mental power. They ran back to the earlier building and signaled the others to return. The base team suffered many casualties. - Next day, ML's team rushed out, followed by the base team. ML saved the others but not Cao Hua and let her killed by zombies. - On the way home, MC woke up. His space had absorbed the L6 zombie nuclears, gained a fountain and he also got wood power. They figured out that only L6 nuclear worked on human. - ML's team won the competition against the other teams. Zhao Minister invited ML to a meal. MC tagged along. - They asked ML to join the army but ML refused. MC found a group of ppl stationed outside. - When ML tried to leave, gunmen came in to shoot at them. A fight broke out. Everyone inside the booth died. ML killed the other guards in the hotel and they hid in space. They realized that the Gu's lent their hand to kill their rival. - ML's team accepted 100 more ppl into the team. New study showed psionists and evolved animals were immune to zombie virus. - MC and ML took a task to deliver warm clothes to Heijiang base. They met the Atsugi Survival Team consisted of foreigners from the same base. The other team wanted to find a technician from the same destination to repair their ship to go home. Both teams drove together. - Upon arriving, they delivered the goods. The person in charge rewarded them some food and they divided up the food to the poor people at the market. - They were followed to their temporary housing. They chased their followers (speed ability) who led them to the controlled zombies and hid to watch. ML solved the zombies. MC and the dogs chased and captured them. The two spilled that there were 10 powered zombies in total and the one here was a zombie with fire ability who could control other zombies but it stayed put. MC stunned them and put them in space. - They checked out the zombie and saw that its appearance was close to human. ML killed the L6 zombie and then the two they captured. - They decided to stay for a few more days. They found a house to settle down. ML entered space to absorb the crystal. ML upgraded and gained metal power. - They took the top 4 tasks to kill L6 zombies. Seeing them, a 3-person team took one of the same tasks. Two teams met on the road. They realized one of them was the technician the foreigners were looking for. - The psychic zombie was in a soybean processing plant. They beat it up and cleaned up other zombies in the plant. ML gave the other team the nuclear to recruit them to the fruit Corps team. - They finished the other tasks and returned to B base. On the way, they met the Atsugi survival team and let the technician (Mike) go with his fellow countryman. - L6 zombies also started popping near B base. Since their team's psionist number growth was slow and falling behind zombie evolution, they hoped to inspire more powered people and pair up the ordinary and powered. Basically, those with power would be there to keep the ordinary people alive but still left room for them to experience crisis stimulation. - ML distributed the four L6 crystals to the team based on colors. ML and they went to a village. ML let them wear blindfolds and took them into space to absorb the crystals. - MC took 10 newly form pairs out to beat zombies. 3 days later, they returned with one dead and 7 new psionists. On the way back, they also grabbed 2 L6 nuclear. Their method was known. The base army tried to implement it. - MC used the L6 nuclear to increase energy around the struggling ppl in space to help them. They finished and all got a second power. - MC took the second team out to inspire ability but got ambushed and kidnapped. MC deduced that they were sent by the Gu leader. ML found the hostage location and saved MC. 2 of the 3 bad guys escaped. - ML let out news that the Gu's killed 500 soldiers in the process of trying to stimulate their abilities but only got 50 new psionists in return. The Gu leader had to step down and his son-in-law took the position. - The space fountain that first showed up when MC got wood power was upgraded. MC found that it could help the ordinary to inspire power easier so they switched from fighting zombies to fighting teammates instead for crisis stimulation. - The base started protecting women when they realized the birth issue and unbalanced m/f ratio. They also sold a newly developed a zombie vaccine effective within 2 hrs of getting infected. - ML's team had grown too much and threatened the base power. The Zhang's invited ML to join but ML refused, mentioning he planned to take the team and leave B base soon because they needed farmlands to grow food. - The team went out to investigate the 3 possible sites for their new home. They were attacked by a group of L6 zombies with a leader. Remember they were gunned down without a clue (?) what they were to each other. In second life, they revisited the same scene, made it HE. Which might leave you speechless. Yup. MC is clear about his rebirth (he has no idea why he found himself in the middle of a zombies apocalypse version tho) whereas ML only had glimpses of it from dream.
