I always feel like when someone replies to someone being impatient with you can mtl x to find out that it's worse than cursing them out. Like they're really saying "May your brain hemorage from reading incompatible grammars."

 

I only ever did it for five or six novels. I don't wish it on anyone and I often find it not worth it to read ahead

 

But the thing about reading mtl is, the more you read, the more you adapt. Your brain would rearrange those grammar lapses automatically even though it isn't near the fudge of the actual translation(more or less 30% accurate tho). Otherwise, your brain would bleed out long ago.

It's like reading incomprehensible sentences that doesn't make sense, to have more sense, but still doesn't make sense all in all.
Reading mtl is almost like reading a summary of the chapter, the texts don't make sense most of the time. At least you get the general idea of the chapter.

Although I don't encourage this madlad behavior, but desperate times need desperate measures(lol).

 

What about Olivia? What happened to her? I skipped a bit to the end of one the SS and it seems like she's evil for some reason?

 

She is being possessed. In og Maria also faced that spirit. But the Maria 'S heart was strong enough to repel the spirit. And her devotion to her brother(as her higher being) was able to kill the spirit.
