first, I don't know which category I should put this thread into. so if I put this thread into the wrong category, I'm sorry few days ago, I finished playing The House in Fata Morgana. and damn, it was the best visual novel I've ever played. it's perfect and flawless, the OST, the art, the characters story are beautiful. for the very first time a VN made me cry. it's so good that I've been considering to buy it twice lol. so if possible, could you recommend me amazing VN as good as The house in Fata Morgana ? and thanks
Muv Luv Alternative is excellent. The only slight downside is that to properly enjoy Muv Luv Alternative one you need to play the first two. They are not bad but rather average. If you like gameplay novels, Kamidori is pretty good.
I checked the visual novel's Steam tags you just played and I recommend When The Seagulls Cry as well. If you like psychological horror or philosophical since it's part of the game, then also include Steins;Gate, Chaos;Head, Chaos;Child and When The Seagulls Cry. Honestly there are other visual novels I would like to add, but they don't similar tags like the one you're playing.
I've heard a lot about steins;gate. thanks for the recommendation Thanks for the recommendation. I've played kamidori alchemy meister though thanks for the recommendation. tbh just recommend me some amazing VN that you have in mind.
I've played it some years ago and don't like the true ending, don't like protagonist's decicion to fight against his brother
Steins;Gate Umineko Muv luv alternative Grisaia series add Higurashi if you like a high school setting and a bit more thrill or katawa shoujo for a little bit more variable
how about hapymaher? mangagamer release it but you need to get the sequel in japanese maybe cross channel too if you havent play it
Zero Escape The Nonary Games series: a series of 3 connected visual novel/puzzle solving games that have a very long and in depth story that are each about a group of people trapped by someone and trying to free themselves, but are in reality connected to something with a much bigger purpose than any mere survival game. The games has multiple routes depending on actions and choices, and are meant to be completed in their entirety for full understanding. The newest edition is a 3-in-1 for windows with good resolution and all 3 have fully voiced dialogue. The puzzles can be skipped by using wikis if you just want the story. 15+ for some blood and language. Sekien no Ingarock: An old style VN that focuses extremely on story over art, with an emphasis on character discovery and development. In an underground city filled with people suffering from post-cataclysm, the main character is a extremely rare doctor that lives amongst the poorer levels to heal people for minimum pay. But the meeting with a young girl changes his life, and starts the journey to both reveal his past and save the city. The story is linear, and minigames can be solved with wiki help, but not recommended to skip due to the story elements. 18+ for both a bit of sexual content and a lot of meaning in the story not easily understood or appreciated by younger audiences. Majikoi: An outstanding modern VN series that represent pretty much the pinnacle of what other traditional romance/action VN compare themselves to. Playing as a talented highschool boy in an action anime setting, multiple routes are there to select from to see stories of many MANY girls, and even continuations of their routes in sequels. It's ridiculously long and good for those that are interested in this type of VN, with characters, art, action and humor galore. Oh and also 18+ for mostly lewds and no deeper meanings. Utawarerumono: An extremely old game that I've played too many times for the story to not recommend, even though it's also partly strategy and tactics on top of the VN parts. Most people probably know the story from anime already, but for those that missed it it's about a waking up as a guy with no memories of his past in a seemingly ancient japan time, and trying to live amongst these new people while trying to figure out his past. The battles are grid type RPG styled with the need to control multiple units, and honestly not that hard to play, with the easy difficulty always an option to end battles with less effort and time while having no effect on story. Also 18+ for simple lewd reasons. I mostly recommend it even for those that have seen the anime due to art that's better than the anime, and full voice acting that's using the same VA as the anime, but better with more dialogue. Edit: Crud I tried to not recommend ones others did already but took too long to type.
Kira☆Kira Deardrops Rewrite ef - a fairy tale of the two Utawarerumono, Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth Eiyuu*Senki
I haven't played many VNs, but of the few I played, Little Busters is by far my favorite. Great VN from beginning until the end, and it was quite long at that. And uhn... Well, I heard only praises of Fate/Stay Night. Even though I never played it, I doubt you can go wrong with that one~
Dead Wishes is quite a good VN imo, maybe a little bit too dark/gory(mostly just depictions of stuff that's happening) for some people though.
already finished all grisaia series. and thanks for the recommendations I haven't tried hapymaher, thanks for the recommendation lol, I have played majikoi up to A-2. benkei is the best girl <3 thanks for the recommendation nice recommendation. thanks thanks for the recommendation thanks alice-chan for the recommendation thanks for the recommendation
