I am pretty certain all the human experimentation we see on Lambda was highly illegal, just done by organizations that simply did not care. Nations will break the laws if they want the result enough and feel the can avoid the punishment somehow (either through cover ups or not letting anyone tell them no).

You mean origin ? Since the current van world is Lambda and @Eddy andres talking about experiment people do to van after he reincarnated from earth, as for human experiment in our current era, i cant say 100% none, those thing might be done somewhere with not eyes to see, i mean trafficking still a thing and slave actually is there in underground part or some sort of disguise

It's hard for the government to regulate illegal stuff like drugs, weapons, and humans experimentation. The reason is simply that if you can't stop people from breaking the law, you can't control how they go about breaking the law.

For an example of doing this right, consider Van's policies. As King of Talosheim, he lets Luciliano do mad science, which allows him to watch it happen as well as set and enforce certain safety and ethical standards.

I think the most telling part is that the new jobs have become simple in description. Machine translation or not, we have ones like Leader, Guider, and Magic. Super simple when names were getting complicated for the longest time. For there to be a job thats just Van's name is either the ranking gods showing their love, or being frustrated with coming up with new jobs for the guy. 'To hell with it! Your job is being you! Enjoy!'

The discussion spanning most of the chapter gets a bit complicated because politics, but here are most of the salient points.
    • The politicians are more or less up to date on recent events.
    • Telkatanis has been detained and imprisoned. Great to see that he has been brought to justice.
    • A few representatives, Temple of Alda included, object to a favorable relationship with the Vidal Empire. A lot of it revolves around Van's radical position, but there are also other concerns related to the very existence of civilization on the other side of the mountain range, etc.
    • They know general facts about Vidal, such as that its capital is Talosheim and that it has some territory on the Demon King Continent.
    • Some discussion of Heinz and his reputation.
    • Discussion of Vida and Van.
    • Temple of Alda is a stickler for laws and customs, no surprise. They're mostly upset about monsters and undead.
    • The King wants to agree to Van's demands if for no other reason than because Van is hella stronk. It's obviously the smartest move, but not necessarily a pleasant one for everyone involved.

"Here we go again. Hm, this calls for yet another new job, but we don't know what to call it..."

I've got a few ideas for why this job showed up. One possible reason is that Van just became an undisputed living legend, the kind that must be written about in history books and religious texts for ages to come, the kind that people gossip and make memes about.

In other words, he is so famous that his name might as well be a synonym for... some quintessential Van-like quality, to the point that you can name a job after it. Kinda like how Einstein's name has become a cheap nickname for intelligent people.

It's also possible that this job came from his other half in the God of Origin, which would mean it's another god job.

"The Election Kingdom Capital That Became Occupied by Undead, Demons and All Manner of Other Unusual Existences" :blob_ghost::blobowoevil_horns::blobninja::blobchristmas:

We return to the meeting with King Corbit and the various nobles on the future of the Orbaume Kingdom, one he hopes will not be the last. Oh, forgot to mention, since the castle got hit by various attacks (attacked by monsters, blasted by tornadoes, lit on fire, etc.) in the last fight and has thus kinda collapsed in places, the meeting is occurring inside Knochen instead. He does concert stages, he does convention centers, he brews tea and other refreshments, he provides paper and pens for note taking! He's the ultimate monkey/wolf/bear/bird/dragon hybrid mobile venue! :blobReach:

The foreign affairs minister Jetabo, now basically the defacto prime minister, takes the floor to reveal Prime Minister Terkatanis's part in teaming up with Dark Avalon, an evil god from another world, and collecting fragments to revive the demon king. He also reveals Vandalieu is in fact Emperor Vandalieu Arc Solder Hillwillow Zakkart of the Vidal Empire! :blob_coffee: Everyone good so far? ...Okay I see that quite a few people are in fact not accepting this or convinced but we're just going to ignore them given the skeleton army currently serving us tea and the boy who just killed the most powerful evil god in the entire history of Lambda walking around outside moving dungeon gates and other impossible stuff. So, regarding the reward for Emperor Vandalieu and his nation's help, we would be happy to grant him anything he desires. Any objections? ...Alright fine, the treasury secretary, some counts and other low level nobles, the head of the Alda temple, and the head of the Vida temple (even King Corbit thinks that one's rich :blobsmirk:) go ahead, feel free to get on the bad side of the kid with the army and the ability to rebuild most of a giant city in a day, and who has the backing of Vida. Sure that will go very well for all of you.

On the bright side, at least they're willing to admit: a) Monsters attacked the capital. b) Guduranis returned. c) Van and co defeated them. and d) they deserve all sorts of commendation and other rewards. They're just not entirely convinced that Van is the Emperor of the 1/3 of the continent beyond the Boundary Mountain Range. (counterpoint: YOU ARE SURROUNDED BY SKELETONS IN A GIANT SKELETON CASTLE SIR!) They're also confused by what Van means when he wants "leave redeveloping the slums and dealing with the dungeon to me" as a reward. And while passing legislation to ensure the rights of the new races of Vida is one thing, extending it to the undead and demons seems like it might be a bit much? Also he wants stories that will basically destroy the reputation of a group of the nation's heroes, the [Five-Colored Blades], to slowly be put out there? What if this all wrecks the country?

Of course, some of that's not unreasonable. It is hard to believe Van is emperor of 1/3 of Ban Gaia, and a portion of the Dark Contient, AND a portion of the Demon King's Continent. And without a proven track record, it's hard to leave city redevelopment to some random person, even if he is a hero. Civil construction and heroics usually don't go hand in hand. And there's a lot of politics between the secular Orbaume and the Alda believers in the country given Heinz and co have protections of gods from the Alda faction, and some people have seen Heinz summoning Bellwood. They're also honorary aristocrats, so both the Alda Temple and the nobility would take a hit in reputation if the stuff about Edgar got out there. It'd basically become a national disgrace! (ooh boy they are not going to like it when Heinz shows up on the Amid side :blobowoevil:) Also it isn't bad for experts from Orbaume to be involved in the redevelopment of the city, to take time with meetings and planning before final decisions are made under normal circumstances (though the Treasury Secretary is also kinda a racist against the new Vida races, and is kinda try to get the credit for rebuilding the capital for the central territory nobles over the dukes who are associated with Van and Darcia now) Someone suggests at this point they should also confirm if the Vidal Demon Empire even exists, suggesting Duke Alchem and Jahan, who have dealings with Van, and Hartner, whose duchy had dealings with Talosheim, help with it. (oh dear nobody tell anyone the Hartner Duchy betrayed Talosheim and enslaved their people for centuries... sorry Katie... :blobpensive:) Riding this wave of idiocy, the Alda temple head, Alber, suggests the demons and undead and other strange monsters should be driven out of Orbaume as well.

...Yes, well, thank you for your opinions. King Corbit?
Corbit: "They're not worth even considering. Let's continue with the meeting"
Jetabo: "Yes, indeed, let's continue with the meeting"

However, the various idiots continue trying to object. Count Montbert apparently wants to bring up the fact Van shouldn't even be rewarded that much considering he broke the "law" and "colluded" with the Tamers guild to bring in all manner of monsters and the like. Oh dear, he even put a "We should consider the fact he was honored by one of the high gods, even if it was Vida" in there? :blobfearful: Buddy, you are digging yourself a hole straight to the center of the planet. Corbit is insanely annoyed by the fact these people can't see that the world has changed. It's not even to the point of not understanding, they are basically in denial and/or shock. Do these people really think this is just about honoring Van for what he did? The real biggest reason here is because Van and just the friends he brought could destroy the entire country a hundred times over. Nations make alliances. Van already has demonstrated the capabilities of a superpower, they need a treaty with Van or risk turning their war with Amid into a war on two fronts.

Hey, military experts, can we get a dose of actual reality here? Military Secretary Dormad: First, he's going to retire after this. :blobsleepless: Second, did we all just forget that Vandalieu defeated Guduranis? This was confirmed by Randolph the True who is sitting right there... being extremely annoyed he has to be involved in any of this after all. :blobexpressionless: Randolph also confirms that he could barely take down two of the spirits Guduranis summoned and the Blades similarly could only manage to take on a few. Without Van and the others, they'd have been completely screwed. Also, no, Van doesn't just have forces that exceed the norm... he has an army on the level of Guduranis's own Demon King Army 100,000 years ago. Even Amid and Orbaume together couldn't take on Vidal. Van is infinitely more dangerous than Randolph, a person everyone fears making an enemy of in Orbaume, and he has an army of powerful tamed monsters. Need we remind everyone you are currently having your meeting in one of them! Oh, the Alda temple head and Count Montbert apparently didn't realize this? Once again, just... I mean... look at the bones! :blobscream: (Bone man is also here too, and sad he didn’t get a shout out as well) Randolph also makes it clear he has no interest in standing against Van for the sake of the nobles. He's done with adventuring, he's a teacher for Merollilis now. :bloblove: And after that he's finally going to pursue his real calling: being a musician! :blobhighfive: Yeah, Kanako already hired him. Sorry guys. A marquis tries to threaten him here, at which point Randolph just laughs. What, are you going to ban him from the adventurer guild after he told you he already quit? Or maybe send an A-class adventurer team, or hey the MIA Heinz, to beat him up? Good luck with that moron. The A-class group also quickly makes it clear they're not going to be helping any of the nobles fight Randolph.

Also sorry Alda faithful, most people don't actually give a crap about Van's undead and monsters. Zombies, vampires, ghouls, ghosts, haunted armor, possessed houses, living trees, they've all been walking around for months and even you all were basically indifferent to them. And guess what, just as you have Heinz and Bellwood, Van has Darcia and Vida. The Vida faithful are going to get behind Van more than someone who wants to play second fiddle to the Alda church (head of Vida temple suddenly remembers he's screwed...) And meanwhile the prime minister is behind reviving the demon king, and a bunch of nobles and Alda temple priests gave him the demon king fragments to do it with. :sweating_profusely: The nobles and priests couldn't stop the flood of dungeon monsters either. It was Van and his undead and monsters who evacuated and provided shelter for everyone. If you try to go this route, you're just going to shoot yourself in the foot.

So, yeah, basically: even if you don't believe the Vidal Empire exists, just what you've already seen of Van and his friends is way more than you can handle. Randolph won't help you, Edgar's dead, the rest of the Blades are missing. The lower A to B-Class heroes are awfully chummy with the Heart Warriors, who are Van's friends (Miriam's got a title to prove it!)... one A-class team and a bunch of knights just ain't gonna cut it even now. Screw if the Alda faithful and duke Fazon who supported Heinz try to leave the kingdom. They're nothing compared to what Van has demonstrated.

We then cut over to some of the casualties from Avalon's attack... who got reincarnated as demons during the battle thanks to Van's [Demon Ruler] job, and are now looking for their belongings and generally cleaning up the area they lived in. Interestingly they are acting quite human, which makes me wonder how similar Van's demons are to Guduranis's demons. We get some explanation that they were indeed quite inhuman while fighting Guduranis, but after being fully reincarnated, it seems many of them have regained their personalities and memories and whatnot, and transitioned to speaking and acting much the same. They also start mentioning that they should build a statue of Vandalieu or a temple... which Van is still somewhat troubled by. :blobmelt:

Van decides to take his mind off all that by starting to figure out plans for setting up a commercial district around the gate to Avalon's dungeon. Guild branches, equipment shops, resturaunts, inns, the whole shebang. And when eventually Sam shows up (him and Quattro have been busy offering job change services to various adventurers and knights given the normal facilities were wrecked), Van escapes into Sam so he can not have to listen to the demons talk about the building of temples and statues to him. Van is not a god! Not a god! He's just a regular person! Really! :blobupset:

Anyway, Van is going to check out his new job options, only to immediately pull his hand off the crystal after he touches it. Of course Van touches it again eventually, as there's no use trying to avoid reality. That's right everyone, Van's currently available jobs are:
    【Fallen Warrior】,【Insect Ninja】,【Eclipse Cursecaster】,【Creator】,【Tartarus】,【Ara Mitama】,【Dark Battery Cannoneer】,【Dark Beast Trainer】,【Shadow Warrior】,【Balor】,【Apollyon】,【Demogorgon】,【Soul Eater】,【God Devourer】,【Nergal】,【Rakshasa King】,【Shaitan】,【Chi You】,【Ouroboros】,【Rudra】,【Blood Ruler】,【Demonic Lightning Warrior】,【Shadow Guider】,【Juggernaut】,【Distorted Muscle Wizard】,【Apophis】,【Azathoth】,【Tao-tie】,【Guidance Master】,【Change Guider】,【Spirit Guider】,【Outer God Mage】,【Divine Spiritualist】, (edit: Densuke added【True Demon King】(NEW!))【Vandalieu】(NEW!) :blobfearful:

Van: "Why am I a job?"

Sadly there was no one who could answer him, as the job change room was soundproofed. :blobsmilehappyeyes:

    Next chapter's on 2/24.

And in the far far future, when the universe is in peril, people will call out to one who can save them. Is it to a [Hero] or a [Demon King]? Nay, neither. They will pray for a [Vandalieu] to be born...

I can imagine him taking it in a fit of delusion. "Yes, or course, take a job that makes me more like myself. Myself being a normal everyday guy, I can't wait to level up my normalityhahahahahahaha."

If you're quiet for long enough, you can hear the gentle sobs of a elderly magical girl in the distance..

Nah, my bet is that the "Vandaleu" job is something much simpler than everyone's making it out to be (and also far more of a gut-punch to Van.) I'm calling it, the "Vandaleu" job is the new ultimate evolution of the Demon King job line.

His Vandeliu job will probably give him total bonus to every skill and all his attributes, and give him 1 of kind skill, which would be neither passive active mastery or unique skill, making it something like In slime deka Ken where there were ultimate skills and their advanced evolved forms

Then your country has a weak foundation, and would fall apart eventually.

So nothing new for them since the only thing holding them together is a greater threat.

One god that they know of...
Sounds like he knows they are F-ed if Orbaume does anything to van, and that there are nobles stupid enough to do something, so is not letting his name be attached to the disaster that could follow.
It is just some form of macabre architecture, on way that could be a nation destroying monster right....

Also, poor forgotten Bone man, :(
Or maybe it will just Max out his cooking...

yeah van is gonna pick Vandeliu max it then go for a guider job probably which would help this rebuild phase (change guider ) or a more unique job to keep things from being too crazy.【Uroboros】,【Rudra】,【Blood Ruler】,【Apophis】,【Azathoth】,【Tao-tie】,【Guidance Master】 sound awesome but he is probably gonna go with something less crazy still i would expect more new jobs but considering the Vandelieu Job, still, most of the jobs are just so damn cool sounding can't wait for next chapter.
