    So how did the offshoots fail to notice two shapeshifters? Or is conscious not the same as intelligent?
    The translator makes a lot of mistakes with gender pronouns. I wouldn't worry about it too much with someone the MC is obligated to kill.

    I do, but the mixed pronouns of this chapter was intentional from the author's usage of them.

    Apparently they just can't be bothered with chasing 2 shape shifters who don't emit any spirit energy when they're still going after other cultivators who do.

    Not really buying the whole doesn't use spirit energy (or some kind of noticeable energy) for shape shifting. I'll just accept it as more of the author's waving his hands around to make us not look too hard.

    The most confusing part was when he turned into a spirit deer, which is a spirit creature... :blobunsure:

    with spirit... :blobunamused:

    and no conscious offshoots even tried to take a bite of him in passing.

    na spirit deer are the cultivation world's version of the Impossible Whopper. its not real spirit from the spirit deer and the offshoots aren't into that fake shit

    What's really weird about it imho is that didn't the fox return just a while ago to get that staff? Less than a day had passed since MC told him about the hidden enemy, so for them to suddenly get annihilated by another world just like that...

    the fox claimed that it returned to get the staff, but didn't really say return where. It could've easily returned to Rakshasa Peak or somewhere close where it hid its personal items instead of his home world. It's not like travel between worlds is an easy thing

    kinda surprised he was so shocked that there was a civilization that much stronger then Rakshasa's group. thats literally what hes been going through since shen wu found that new world and the fox literally told him how many worlds and layers there were lol. to just assume the fox's group was strong enough to survive just cause the fox is stronger then him is pretty narrow minded of GQS.

    his time getting synced up isn't really a good thing right? he was abusing that time difference/stoppage to deal with a lot of his issues
