It's just a discussion I want to have, what are your views on the genre of Loli. And is this controversial in your view?. Edit - ok here it is, if it's like in "lost in abyss" then it's fine?, And if it's in bikinis then it's a no-no?...this is what I've seen from most of you now.
You just had to open this can of worms, didn't you? I do enjoy the cute antics/innocence of children; I don't obsess over it, tho. Note the usage of the term "children" instead of the connotative, gendered term "loli".
i guess if you view loli/shota in a sexual way then yes it's bad. Other than that i got no problem with it
Any sexual related thoughts to children of such a low age is just unhealthy and unethical but well, to each their own for what can i say to others as it's their life and their choice. Though if they were somehow related to me or a friend, i would at least question them
From what I've seen you've got three types of loli/shota Literal children. (fine) Adults that are indistinguishable from children (bad) Adults that are just short. (fine) The only one you really have to watch out for is number two, because some depraved individuals seem to think it is okay to treat them as if they're adults, even though they look and often act exactly like a child.

The only ones I have a problem with are the realistic children characters. "Loli" are an invention of people with little to no contact with actual children, so they picture them like little adults that wont judge them or expect things of them or any of the other things that terrify them about adult women. Those lolis are something that only exist in fiction, and you would realize the difference as soon as you meet an actual little girl.
Loli's are totally fine. They're cute. Loli porn is bad. But it's just artwork, and I think it's fine if some people have that fetish. Unless they're harming real children, they're not doing anything that needs to concern anyone but themselves. Especially since - in the case of actual child molesters - there have been studies showing a decrease in incidents, with access to pornography as a substitute for their urges. (Pornography that uses real children is no good, of course, but artwork is acceptable).

I like cute characters, and lolis are usually cute, so I enjoy viewing animes and reading mangas with lolis. That's pretty much all I care. Now, if what you're talking about is the more broad view on how I view children in media in general? I think it's great, child characters are my favorite type of characters, though it's also really hard to portray them properly and many people fail pretty hard in doing so. Often times making them just like smaller adults. Child protagonists are really fun nonetheless, it's a really nice breath of fresh air when compared to teenager protagonists...
