Thought about this earlier today, I went to sleep this morning and it was 26° F I woke up in the afternoon and it was almost 70° I sometimes sleep with socks on when it's cold out... But I still think it's weird to wear them to bed. Thoughts?
I used to wear socks to bed when I lived with my mom or with my dad or at school, because otherwise my feet would freeze. Living with Mr. Hamster, we keep the temperature higher, so I don’t wear socks to bed usually.
Mostly no, but during extreme conditions like going out to an island to camp on the coldest night of the year, which my family does ever yea as a tradition, i will occasionally wear socks to sleep. Just depends on how cold and windy it gets since we usually just sleep in sleeping bags around a fire. No tents
I've always had poor circulation in my hands and feet, to they are perpetually cold. Socks have elevated that to some degree.
I think that's only happened when I was drinking....and on a couch. Regular cold, or bedridden? A companion, cuddle buddy, girlfriend, wife, husband, boyfriend, etc someone you share a bed with? sleeping at school? I see, yeah camping I would keep my feet covered, to be honest I keep my pants tucked in my socks to prevent ticks or mosquitoes
I wear socks to bed but normally wake up with one kicked off. I run pretty hot most of the time so, for the most part, I sleep with a fan pointed at me year-round but my feet get cold WAY faster than the rest of me. if I slept without socks I get cold(even covered in a comforter) when I sleep with them on I get hot, it's an annoying balancing act.
Occasionally whens it's a particularly cold night but not cold enough to warrant more intense measures
Well, I have terrible sleeping habits. I have a comforter, pillows, sheets, and all that goodness. But most of the time I sleep wrapped up in a sleeping bag, without a pillow (or at least not an actual pillow), on my bed. I just sleep better like that or at least for the past year I have. So, for someone who has terrible sleeping habits, I do sometimes sleep with socks on, not because I prefer it but because I forget to take them off half the time.
luckily i live in florida. I know a lot of people will say that our coldest probably doesn't compare. but when you wade through water up to your waist and sleep on a uncovered beach in a sleeping bag, you couldnt tell the difference in my opinion. that wind chill factor can be the worst especially when jack frost is nipping at your balls.
