I use both, prefer books. Ebooks are great for convenience, but they hurt my eyes. Even with the lowest setting I can feel the strain after a while. Books in adequate natural light, don't hurt. I mind-map my notes. I used to handwrite them until I was 10-12, then switched over to mind mapping once I got comfortable with it. Easier for me to get the salient points and goes well with my other methods of remembering things.
As potatoes have multiple eyes all over the body, get them both. Seriously, as you learn better by writing them out, by hand, but hate to waste paper, use a notepad stand and copy them from your ebook.
book is book~ anyway for learning~ it doesn't matter for this cat~ the question is how to practice da material~ oh as note this cat is the type who prefer writing on paper despite technology have advance~ my write is bad tho~ ehem this cat admit maybe only this cat can read what this cat have write on hurry~
Ebooks: Pros 1. Easy to bring 2. Can read even if the lights are off Cons Kinda hurts when you're sleepy and it falls on your head
It is difficult. I sincerely love paper books, touch them, read, sniff, but mostly read e-books (free, always with me, no limit on quantity).
Despite the practicality of an e-book, also using physical helps at times. For example, say you have an e-book that you bought from Amazon that is an official light novel translation. At some point the light novel e-book could be "shelved" because the licensing rights have lapsed.
Books. I prefer books for learning purpose. It's so much easier to study than ebooks.... But i prefer e-books for novel reading
I got too many printed trans at the dorm, it's cramping up the space >.> I only like to use ebooks for convenience though... because our books are really, really thick est around 4-5 kg each >.> But for me, the physical books are still the best. My eyes get strained rather easily, and when they are strained, I get migraines. It's a nope >.>
Personally, I like books. I love the feeling as my hands glides through the pages as I highlight what I want to remember, I can doodle and take notes visibly on the edges of the book or sticks a note on it, if it's newly bought, I especially like the smell~ But for books that are thick and heavy and prolly won't be much used during our lessons or learning (i.e. supplementary books), I prefer to just get them on ebooks for convenience's sake.
Hohoho! Ebook lover here! Ever since my classes are online, Ebooks are so convenient. You just have to get used to studying from them though.
I like physical books, aesthetically and practically, way too much to give them up ever. I own a kindle, and used it only a few times, despite being very excited for all the doors it opened. I look at a kindle, though, and I don't feel anything. I look at a book, and I'm overcome with a feeling of bliss and wonder and inspiration. So, physical books for me, always and forever. A personal library is in my goal setting list
I use both but prefer ebooks. It seems to me more comfortable, you can take with you all books you need and more ecological.
I love physical books. Having the actual object in front of me keeps me focused and helps me to take better notes
