Spoiler: Princess jin she has severe distrust of men due to her scumbag father. But the girl she loved played her. She is princess yong, prince yong was aware and prince Jin finding out was planned by the yongs. I feel that most of her moves were instigated by her mother and mama and it seems most females around her, give birth to a boy have the most power. She finds out her father is sending her sister from a concubine to her house as a concubine so her family can have a bloodline tie to prince Jin. I feel she became very bitter and started getting drunk and throwing herself at her husband. It's strange that prince Jin admired and liked her before she entered his house but from he cold pushing away she did each time and finding out she likes women it shot that in the face. If she tried at the beginning he would have respected her but being cold and only treating him as a stud disgusted him.
Spoiler: Fake daughter her father is the guy that knocked out MC and dumped her in a bed in the brothel, drugs her then the daughter's mother comes in, he drugs her and hides with her watches the ML and MC get it on gets horny has sex with the girl and replaces her in bed with MC being dumped in an alley. The brothel girl was a major money maker and he didn't want to get in trouble or owe anyone money. After fangfei died the daughter got sick and "died" she actually was sent with her belongings to her paternal grandma to raise.

They provided the poison and consort Hu and princess jin made it possible. The power playing and jealousy has a lot of dead women in this, even the ml's mother was later discovered to have been poisoned.
ML was drugged and FL had been knocked unconscious when they first had sex so neither could actually be considered consenting participants. ML’s “daughter” was the result of the mother being raped (the mother genuinely believed the daughter was hers and ML’s) by the man (FH) who attacked/knocked FL unconscious and set her up to be raped. He knocked the consort/concubine unconscious, raped her, then placed her in bed with the ML. “Fun” fact: FH also gets FL’s sister’s sister-in-law (aka the one responsible for putting FL in the situation in the first place) pregnant
1. There’s not really any specific scene between the two leads that strike me as being particularly romantic or anything. There isn’t any grand romantic gestures per se...it tends to be subtle/hidden under other things. Their love for each other shows more in their daily family life/normal interactions than anything else. When he works as a low level official (due to his father/the emperor trying to rein in the powers held by the various princes), she makes him a lunchbox everyday so if he doesn’t like the food served at the cafeteria, he won’t go hungry. She massages his head when she knows he has a headache, he eventually begins sharing things with her instead of just acting unilaterally, especially if it concerns her in some way (he agrees to do this after seeing how upset she is with him hiding things from her and just acting from behind the scenes, even if it’s for her sake) and even listening to her advice at times. They are surprising in that they actually become a pretty well adjusted and healthy couple as time goes on. There was an incident where the FL, wanting to learn how to write, copies a love poem. She wants to work on her penmanship before showing the ML but he finds her practice sheet beforehand and is angry/jealous as he thinks she writing love poems about another man. Once he learns she’s practicing her writing and didn’t want him to know/see until she could copy the poem with good penmanship for him, he decides to teach her...he’s a strict teacher. Later on when he’s upset with her, she decides to take out another love poem she had written for him and hidden away, not knowing he already knew about and had secretly taken it out a few times to read. In an example of his romantic sensibility, when she finally takes it out to show him, he points out the errors she made. But they still end up in bed (they have a very healthy sex life). He also treats her family well (her blood family and brother in law...not her sister in law or her brother in laws mother and sister) and this particularly makes her happy as she knows he is only doing so out of respect for her. 4. No—it is very obvious very quickly (once they are officially outed as a couple at least) that neither are looking for outside affection. The ML’s biggest rival for the FL’s attention is probably their son, Xiaobao...ML is not amused (but then again, neither is Xiaobao when he’s kicked out of bed...) 5. They have 4 kids total, the last two are fraternal twins. Three boys and a girl (who very quickly becomes the apple in her father and oldest brother’s eye). Their “daily” names are pretty much determined by Xiaobao, calling them (birth order)bao...the official names of all the kids were given to them by decree courtesy of their grandfather (as emperor for the first two kids and former emperor for the last two)...their father is not happy about this at all but FL is amused by the fact that hidden in a drawer in her hubby’s (the current emperor by this time) study are pages filled with baby names. Btw, the only girl in family totally has all the boys, but in particular her father, oldest brother, and grandfather wrapped around her pinkie. It is hilarious
Spoiler: Her family's move near her the older in law convinces her husband and his family to move close to ml and mc to get benefits. She does this after talking to Yao's mother Li who wants mc to have a bad life after the disappearance of her daughter and knows that the older sister IL will. When her family shows up(Yao and Su) mc is in charge of the back yard and doesn't want her family to know so she orders everyone to keep their mouths shut and wears no jewelry or nice clothes and cries when her family is around to make them believe that she is not favoured and the princess Jin has control of her children, she never outright lies she just cries and they go crazy with conjectures. Lol they want to take her home. The ml was listening and got mad and of course they ended up in bed. Eventually ml finds her family a major and some little jobs to keep them out of trouble. Spoiler: Older sis-in-law She pisses everyone off past braking point. She had always used her 3 sons against the family so they back down, but she starts attacking one of the maids sent by ml's house and her husband had enough. He writes a devorce letter and tells her to go back home to her brothers and calm down. He marries the maid, after the maid went home, his children and his family love her.
I love the son. Spoiler: Eldest son uses his past knowledge. in his past life his mother died before he was heir and he is barely a year old now so can only watch and cry, but when he can talk he is vicious to schemers against his mom. When his mom was giving birth to his little brother he was sitting on one of his Dad's concubines, princess Jin sister, and she whispered something horrible about his mom dying to him and he attacked her and called her ugly. Lol and then after told his Dad. He was married to a nice girl that was sick and bullied by her stepmom and when. He met her in this life he made sure to help her mom not die and uncover the once stepmom who turns out is a relative sent from the mom's family. He labels her as his wife out loud to his Dad, Mom, Emperor Grandad, and everyone he comes across and spends as much time as he can with her. Lol he knew that others would try to make a marriage alliance young now because he is not sickly and very doted on by Emperor and he is a genius so he uses his childish face to declare that she is his. Lol and the Emperor agrees, unofficially, as does his parents so he knows no one can take her from him and she can be his.

How will she become ML's concubine in this life? Is it going to happen anytime soon? The author keeps teasing us with their interaction.. T^T
It takes some time. They first have a secret affair, because he needed help because of some poison and she doesn't want to be part of his harem, because of what happend in her first life.
Spoiler: Concubine Once he realizes other men are interested in mc, when she goes to her sister's house for a visit and he nogives her no opportunity to escape and makes it very overt that she is his. Shortly after mc, ml, and his closest staff find out that she is the real one he slept with in the brothel, so she gets the same treatment as a cefei and when they go to court for his father Emperor Birthday, ml asks the emperor to decree mc as cefei and tell him a story about meeting each other when he was at the border and fell in love, lived together, were separated and she gave birth alone. Emperor takes the bun in the back inspects the ear finds the mole, and that bun looks like ml. Mc makes a good impression for raising an intelligent son so she becomes a cefei. Takes a bit.
Wait … you forgot the scene where they were caught by the 'fake' cefei in the bed while she was pretending to look for assassin or thief that run of MC's room
