Is cute how you try to defend the author. Authors are people too you know and they sometimes do weird stuff.

Also there is some mention of a
cheat given by a god or goddess...that part was way hard to read in mtl.
So actually, in a way, the class is busted.:ROFLMAO:

And they write themselves into corners...here’s hoping the LN doesn’t make the girls as horrendously powerful as the WN does. Despite the slavery contract, the MC is far too trusting.

Wow this looks great. Too bad there are too few chapters available, this wouldn't even last my morning cup of coffee.

Again, I’m forced to conclude that authors of Japanese Isekai novels are all 14 years old teenage boys.

The stuff that gets popular is (mostly) amateur authors trying to get published.

Stuff that gets published, in Japan, tends to target either the same Teenage Japanese Male demographic as most Manga series, or black Company "Employees" who do not have the money and/or free time for much more.

The authors age does not matter, it is who they are writing for and the cultural norms of getting published in Japan (eg: Female Leads need to be a virgins, up until the marriage ceremony, so the MC can never seal the deal with them)

Yeah, but you’d expect some authors would try not dumbing down their work.

Well that was an unexpected twist. Kudo's for the author not going down the usual road of corrupt noble abusing an innocent girl.

I just started reading this and I'm wondering if he was sent out to the wilderness on purpose or by accident. It's only the MC's assumption that he was sent there to die. But if you were to think logically, why would you throw away money to someone you were about to kill? And really, what is their motivation for trying to kill him?

Anyway, I thought the author was just trying to mislead us but then there were other dumb things that happened later on. The third limit break is unheard of? What about executioners? Or maybe have someone kill a baby monster (who are all born with high levels which never change throughout their lives)? Or perhaps a dying old man willing to give his grandchildren an advantage in life?

Why did the general store owner just leave his friend's daughter to get bought as a criminal slave? Basically everyone (including the lord aka the victim's father) knew she was innocent; why didn't he just "buy" her himself? Could he not afford it? What was the point of the MC setting up his food business when he suddenly gets handed millions in gold the very next chapter?

Also, the author has already made the MC too overpowered. The equivalent exchange skill can be used to create other skills?! It's already overpowered enough if it's just creating things since it basically means he's a master craftsman in all the crafting professions. It's nice that he could trade in skills to create new ones, but what's the point? The "Grant Skill" skill that he created is an overpowered skill if you think about it, and he didn't break a sweat when he made it.

He was shoved through the portal, so it's hard to imagine it wasn't on purpose. As for giving the money? It's most likely to defend against truth spells or other abilities from the other heroes so as not to potential invoke their ire. What did you do with the MC? Oh we gave him a weapon (piece of trash) enough gold to get by on and transported him somewhere random (randomly in the center of the forest of death.)
As for why? Well they were selling the heroes to countries. No one bought him. They likewise probably knew that if he leveled he might become strong. He was a wildcard for their plans and wildcards not under their control need to be eliminated.

The lord didn't communicate his true feelings on the subject to those outside of his personal control. The inference here is he does not trust the merchant. The merchant either knows something he isn't telling(involved in the plot) or he's afraid to fuck with the noble that could ruin his business(the fear of any merchant in a medieval society. Either reason would keep the merchant from buying her. .

Oh the author absolutely made the MC too powerful. If this story is going to be readable, it'll be on the strength of the interactions between the characters and not on plot tension. The MC can pretty much make a small but practically invincible army that could raise the world to the ground. I'll give this story another dozen or so chapters to prove to me that the author can handle character interactions.

I will not be surprised if we eventually find out that he was supposed to be sent to a random inhabited places just like they told him, but whichever goddess is responsible for his appraisal descriptions tampered with the portal to send him to that forest.

just caught up to the light novel translations, gotta say im really enjoying the story so far. hes that typical angsty Japanese mc thats been wronged, but he doesn't try to be a complete asshole (and fail like most Japanese mc's) to everyone just cause one guy was awful to him. i also really like the concept of the heros getting sold to different countries because it sets up conflict thats bound to happen between them at some point.
