Why do I think that one of the reasons Kristoff stays in the party is to scold Dietrich?

 

Sounds about right, he has issues, but the nation they are in and its corrupt incompetent adventurers guild is just making them worse.

The country is so messed up I can see his career surviving. it should not, but they are not showing any signs of competence anywhere, so I can see them ignoring the important questions since the answers are evidence their system is idiotic.

Agreed on the confusing part. Let me try and talk it out to see if what I think I read is actually what I read.

• They know there's another golem coming to gank them.
• Nostalgia has decided to take up Grandpa Gry's challenge to kill the golem themselves and not involve Roa.
• Nostalgia has then dogeza'd Grandpa Gry to help them get stronger in order to kill the golem
• Grandpa Gry having his ego properly stroked has decided to power up all of Nostalgia's magical capabilities via some ancient techniques he knows.
• Roa whines about not getting included and Grandpa Gry basically says "You're too young + human to handle this technique" (Truth of this statement questionable)
• Author writes some technomagicbabble about widening pores in the skin allows absorbing more magic... yeah whatever.
• Grandpa Gry drops a bomb about the difference between servant contracts and actual partner bonds which is apparently what the two of them share. Also that Roa can use Grandpa Gry's magic via their connection.
• And the bloody confusing cliffhanger where I'm guessing (and this is just a guess) that even with this magic power up Nostalgia still won't be able to beat the mythril golem and so he's hoping that Roa can come up with a workable strategy. And that's just a bloody guess cause yeah not enough actual clues or reference to be even 50% sure of that guess

Anyway by inference we can guess that Grandpa Gry is really really really effin' old and that he used to be the partner of some old sage who taught him all of these techniques and magic. I'm guessing a minimum of 300 years old here.

 

Yeah, seems like Grandpa Gry was bullshitting, and talking shit about, Nostalgia to soothe his ego after they ruined his entrance, but then they started stroking his ego, and Dietrich actually bowed down. So he's stuck, because he doesn't actually have any way to power them up, to where they can beat a mithril golem in a short time, he tried to get Roa to come up with something, but Roa and the twins pressured him into coming clean (admitting that he was talking out of his ass) and asking for help.

 

Well, at least one survived, and her mindset is horrible, so self centered and lazy.

 

I'm now wondering if the next arc is them trying to get the gryphon and cubs back...

oh yeah. Flawless plan! How could it fail?

 

Ah well there's one more guy that's the assassin that's left. Also wasn't Cornelia love interest Dietrich?

 

It's almost over. But did they defeat the super gol that crack of dawn face ? Or is it what was defeated by Griffin

 

At what point did they consider Roa useless?

 

The one Grandpa Gry took down should have been the one that took down Crack of Dawn, the one in this chapter should be from all the other leftover golems, from around Roa, the ones knocked out by the Twins...though it would make sense the other way around too. Smaller mithril golem made from the few golems the heroes were able to down....

 

Who are you talking about? Crack of dawn or nostalgia?

That's much easier to answer, at the point where he didn't automatically change class, to one of the many skill sets he's picked up...even though he would need one of them to sign off on him having learned it.
