Lol i feel the same. I generally dont like sad stories but i thought this was very good and well worth it. There is a reason for the tragedy. Ml pick these worlds to teach himself a lesson. If it wasnt a tragedy, i think most readers will hate ml. I wouldnt say ml deserves to suffer that much because in the real world he didnt really do anything bad. But ml wanted to teach himself a lesson. The ending is good.

Hopefully someone can give a better summary. This arc was actually very difficult. I didnt understand it much. Hopefully some will correct the mistakes. Spoiler: Arc 1 Mc is falling off a cliff. He sees a bunch of ppl looking at him but no one is trying to save him. Mc lands on a net. He finds a change of clothes and a mask. System downloads the original host memories but its fragmented. System asks mc if he wants to buy the plot outline. Mc says no. The plot is too exspensive. Mc has to gain ml's full trust 100%. Task goal is to help ml rebel against the king (ml's brother). when mc is in contact with certain things it will trigger memories. Mc also can feel what the original host feels. Mc thinks that since these items are in front of him. It must be so he can visit ml. The memories told him, he always uses the mask when he sees ml. Mc was to figure out what his 2 identity is. The orginal host must have tried to pretend to kill one identity and now he's disguise as someone else. Mc goes to ml to find out clues. Ml is a prince. Mc is his trusted freind/confidant. Mc has a pouch which is proof of his identity so he can enter the palace. Mc meets ml but he makes some mistake that makes ml frown. Original host has never asked much/cared about ml's personal affairs. Someone tells ml that the corpse cant be found. Mc thinks they are talking about him. They talk. Something about proof of about someone. Mc feels very familiar with it but then realized ml is near and watching mc. Mc sneaks back to his room, butnow he has to explain his actions since ml saw him sneaking around. Next day. Ml acts like nothing happened. Ml takes mc to a place. They kill a women and dispose of the body. Then some guy is yelling at them. The guy is pulled away. Mc and ml have a moment together. Ml asks if mc is hungry. They are by some water and mc fished and cooks. They talk. Mc says he would like to stay by ml's side. Ml is happy. That night mc wonders if the guy knows his true identity. He sneaks into the guys room. The guy is shock mc is here. He's writing something in blood. Mc reads it. Turns out the king has no royal blood. The queen and her son was replaced by a cocubine. (Idk if the woman earlier that was killed the real queen or the concubine) the son is now the king but he has no royal blood. System notifies mc that ml is outside the door. And the place is surrounded. Turns out mc's real identity is the king. He is ml's younger brother (no blood relation. Ml has royal blood. Mc does not) Ml feels really betrayed. When he was growing up, ml always felt like an outsider now he knows why. These ppl were never related to him. Ml finds out his most loved person is also the most he hates in this world. Ml drugs mc to make him weak. Mc trades points to the system. System is going to get a physical body? I really dont think i do these summary any Justice. Its very emotional and heartfelt. You should read the original. Spoiler: arc 2 Task goal: to get the lin family approval of Yi. Also to make him the soul beneficial of the lin fortune. Side goal: gain yi's favorablility. 100% Mc this wow this is pretty easy task. System keeps urging mc to buy the plot. Mc thinks it would be a waste of points. Mc gets his memory download. The lin family are a happy couple, but never had children. So they adopted original host. Original host was very happy to be adopted and very greatful. Later he learned that his adopted dad had an affair and had a son. His adopted mom gave the women a lot of money and shipped her over seas. The son was sent to an orphanage. The adopted mom only wants her adopted son to inherent the family fortune. At the age of 19 original host had adopted Yi and had a man take care of him. (I think original host is 7yrs older. I cant remember) Mc gets a notice that Yi is in trouble. Mc rushes to the scene. Yi is ml. Its ml's birthday. Ml is reborn. Before ml would be very nieve. He trusted his foster father. The man never talked much but he seemed like a good man. Sorry i forgot the mention all extras are from the end of the novel. Mc and ml broke up before the arcs started and made up after the last arc. There was a series of energy bursts. Its speculated to be beasts. Only beasts can live in space and some have teleportation skills. The other (left or right hand man) is a beta. They are no longer fully humans. Then beasts pop out of no where. They are very fierce. The alliance is losing. Mc starts to remember the past. Mc is a beast experiment. Mc is a very high lvl strong beast. In human form he has strong combat powers but low mental powers. In beast mode its the opposite. Mc realized he cant have both powers at the same time. Mc remembers the truth about the research lab. There were spys from the empire. The spys took the beasts and killed everyone else. Orignal host had strong mental powers and hid. Original host never saw his family beasts again. The only reason orignal host was alive is because of ml. Mc saw ml at a young age and told ml if mc becomes a marshall will ml congratulate him? Ml said yes. Then an omega dr disguised as a beta (no omegas are allowed in the military) notices mc and recognized him. They remember seeing him in the report but original host was never captured like the other beast. Dr asks mc to join the empire but mc refuses. Mc starts to wonder why all the omegas are loyal to the empire. Dr says if mc doesnt the dr will inject something into mc and cause madness not only to him but all the beast near him. By the time ml arrived the dr was dead. And mc became a pink beast. Ml sees the pink ball ml gave to mc and knows its him. Ml grabs mc but he seems to be suppressing something. Ml thinks mc is a spy and betrayed ml. Ml should give mc to the alliance so they can milk info from him, but ml cant do it. A voice tells him he will regret it. Ml outs mc in a cage in his room. Mc wakes up and ml enters. Mc is still a beast. Ml looks very worn out and tired. Ml can use the animal translator but hes afraid to hear what mc will say. Ml went back and forth on the subject and decided not to run away. Mc asks what happened. Ml says mc has been sleeping for 6 days. The battle is harsh. Ml asks for an explanation. Mc says he will never betray ml. Mc confesses that he set thing up so that ml would find him years ago, but that was the only lie. He asks ml if mc told ml back then would ml believe him? Ml says he has to go. Ml leaves. Mc comes up with a plan. He noticed the pink ball mecha was replaced by a pink bell. mc waits for ml to return and rest but ml doesnt return to rest. Later ml returns and lays in bed to rest. Mc keeps calling his name. Ml ignores him. Mc yells some more. Ml gets up unlocks the cage picks up mc and puts him on the bed. Ml tells mc to stay in the room. If ml wins he will return for mc, if ml loses then mc's family will come for him. Mc is shocked. Ml was always so strong and confident before. Its so strange to see him like this. Ml leaves. Mc gets a pill from system to make him human first then mc rushes into battle. Everyone was been suprised that ml no longer had his trusted left and right hand men. Both were missing. Mc is using the pink mecha. Ml tells him to return but mc wont listen. Mc says he has a plan. Just trust him. Ml has no option but to tell others to attack mc. Mc turns into a beast and controls all other beast with bis mental powers. He gets all the beast to go to the tunnel and self destruct. Destroying the space tunnel. Mc dies from over exhaustion. His body scatters. With the tunnel gone no more ship can come in and the alliance was able to win. All spys were caughts. Turns out when the alliance finally created inhibitors in the labs in the past. The empire stole it and killed everyone and took the beast. This is the main reason why the omegas fought for the empire. With the 3 genders alpha and beta had better treatments but omega were breeding machines and they lost thier equal grounds. (This is the past) Ml wonders the planet he and mc use to hang out together. He stays at the hotel mc use to live. Ml was going to show his family the alpha he loves. Now that ml is living in peace, he thinks about what he could have done. If he believed in mc, maybe he could of help and mc wouldn't have over exerted himself. Before he use to think the alliance and ppl were important but now that he's alone without his precious mc. Life is so empty. He should have protected his precious one. Spoiler: extra ending System notified mc that ml is doing a special mission would mc like to join? Mc is surprised. A special mission? Mc agrees. Turns out there was a misshap and two worlds collided. The cultivation world and the intersteller. Mc and ml are in the previously used bodies from the pre-arc cultivation world. Task goal to stop the hostility of both worlds towards each other. In the distance mc sees a familiar mecha. Its the marshall. And hes holding a pink beasts (roga the original host). Mc is suprised. Mc and roga had an instant bond. Roga hugs mc. Roga must have told the Marshall about mc and ml bacause only mc's orignal host can see the ending. Ml is a bit sad. And mc tells him he did nothing wrong. Marshall tells them hes living with roga now. Marshall is a bit embarrassed. He never talked about love stuff. Roga us very happy. He says he wants to stay in this world because cultivation can prolong life. Happy ending

Almost all worlds have 2 identity. worlds the original hosts had 2 identity. One is a close friend/confident and the 2nd is the enemy. Kinda like a spy has 2 identity I think its stressful to the original host but not to mc. Because to mc its just an exam task. They (the tasker) are all part of space and time school. But besides the the tasker (mc) everyone else lives it as its thier own world. Its pretty easy for mc because be has a system and he can trade in points for a pain mask (aka shield him from pain) plus mc goes in and out of the world pretty fast. Ml is different. He lives the world as a native and he doesnt have any golden finger like a system. So when ml feels pain he really feels pain. The world also affects him more because he lives it till the end.
This was a very difficult mtl. Im gonna be skipping a lot of details because i didnt really understand whats happening. It's a bit confusing. Spoiler: Arc 4 cultivation world Arc 4 is the continuations of the pre-arc. This takes place a thousand years after mc died. System tells mc he has to go back to the first test world. This was mc's first world and exam. It was very easy and mc didnt need to pay for plot points. Everything was given to mc. System says that the world is an issues. Even though the protagonist (ml) has the 3 artifacts. Ml wont use it. Ml has to use it to suppress the villian. If he doesnt, the villian will break free. Since the task didnt complete, it was brought back to 0% complete. Mc has to find out why ml isnt using the 3 artifacta to suppress the villian, then help ml to supress the villian. Ml is a born genius. They all grew up together. Ml fell in love with a girl who was later found to be the villian that killed everyone at the temple. ( A bit confused, one part they said it was ml, then they said it was the girl so idk. My brain is fried) Ml, mc, the girl grew up together. They were nothing in the beginning, but then they all became very strong but ml was the strongest. Ml always was the strong silent type. He hated ppl touching him the more powerful he got the more he distanced himself from the group. The sword ml used contains the blood of all three. At first each person was supposed to get thier own sword but because the sword was too powerful only ml could use it, but mc and the girl can also use it for a short time. (Im guessing this is how it all went down) the girl wanted to get married so she killed everyone at the temple to get something/power. She also had another goal but i forgot what it was. At first it was said she wanted to marry ml but he was always looking at mc, but then later it is states she and ml are love rivals for mc... (are you confused? Lol i know i am) Mc gets the memory downloaded. Mc will come back as ml's male pet (little lover not an animal) mc is shocked and surprised. He never thought ml would have a male pet. Mc tries look at himself but he doesnt resembles the villian. Mc thinks ml loves the villian and wont use the 3 artifacts to suppress her because he loves her. Mc gets a paper cran message to meet ml on the bridge. Mc had grown up with ml and he can see ml is irratated. Ml seems to be playing chess. Mc laughs inside thinking about how a thousand years has passed but ml still sucks at playing chess. Mc plays the meek and scared little pet. Also the original host is the male pet but ml never touches the male pet. They only sit together and then ml will leave. Mc tells ml that he will listen to ml's worries. Ml frowns. Original host never talks before always remains silent. orginal host doesnt know ml, but mc does. Ml says what do you know. Mc says i can tell u are missing someone. Ml flashes murder intent, but then hes back to normal but he's irrated. Ml asks if mc knows how to play chest. Mc uses the system to play chess. Theres a look of nostalgia on ml's face. Then ml explodes. A chess hit mc. Pieces are on the ground. Mc asks the system what happened. System said they were playing the same move as the past. Mc couldnt get any info from ml and ml leaves. Mc noticed the worlds are different. He wants to listen to what ml us talking about but system says ml is too far away so they cant listen to what ml is saying. Mc remember in the past mc and ml dug a cave beind the waterfall. Theres no maps but because they both dug the cave they know the routes. Mc goes there and he's close enought to over hear ml. I forgot what was spoken but then ml found mc in the cave and asked what he was doing. Mc asked permission to wonder the area since mc has been here he hasnt looked around yet. Ml didnt restrict the orginal host but..... Ml said ok. Mc wanted to visit the old places he use to know. Mc meets someone who used mc as a diversion to attract ml's attention. Ml was drink and he never touchs the orginal host but today mc feels like the master/brother ml really loves. But then its all a ploy and ml runs off to the guy that used mc as a diversion. Mc follows ml. They are on a hill with a formation. The formation wity the 3 artifacts can make the flesh and soul come back but once the artifacts are used they cant be used to suppress the villian. Mc is confused. Isnt ml's lover the villian? Shes not dead. Shes just suppressed. Ml tells mc to go to the boat and wait for him. After some times. It seems like the 3 artifacts were not used and ml comes back to the boat. Ml asks mc. (Ml refurs to mc as master and brother in mtl) master why didnt you tell me you were back?. Mc says are you mistaken me for someone else? Ml said are you still angry? Mc wont admit he's the master/brother. Ml is sad. (I forgot what ml said) ml said something like you want to stay here? I can go your room/place? Mc's face cracks: You Dare.... Mc has to admit now that hes come back. Ml wants to explain what really happened. Ml wants to take mc to his sea. Mc can go into ml's deep sea and see/experience what really happened. The truth of ehat happened a 1000yrs ago but mc declines because then ml would see mc's real soul. Ml is sad thinking mc doesnt trust him. Mc returns to his former home. Ml sends his crane with ml"s memory and feelings. Mc finds out what really happened. Ml was possessed by demons and the demon made him kill mc. After that ml killed tge demon but losted his beloved mc. Mc hears the villians voice and she wants him to free her. She is sealed under the bridge they both use to go to.. Mc unseals her. Ml shows up. Doesnt care what mc does. But he wanted to use to 3 artifacts to help mc become stronger not to supress the villian. They both supress her. She tells mc she didnt mean to kill him, but mc ignores her. Later mc goes to town. Theres a festival. Mc was never able attend in the past. Ml buys mc a lotus lantern. Ml tells mc he's its time for him to assend. Ml doesnt want to go but he has to. Mc writes his name on the lantern and gives it back to ml. Mc: i know you work very hard to suppress your suspicion on me. But if you do something wrong. I wont forgive you. You must learn the consequences of your actions. I'll see you in the next world. Ml wants to give mc things for protection/cultivation but mc declines. When ml assends into heaven. Mc departs as well. Spoiler: extra After ml assended he worked very hard to open a space to the lower world to see mc. Ml was worried about mc. When ml could finally do it, mc's soul was no where to be seen. It wasnt in the world so ml burned hinself with the fairy fire.
Spoiler: Arc 5 animal world. World goal: help the coyotes. Animal world. No humans. All animals can talk. Mc is freaking out. Why am i an animal? This is so wierd. My heart cant handle animals talking. Mc gets his memories downloaded. Mc is a dear and a priest. Mc's system gets an update and cant respond till after update is complete. A wolf visits mc. He asks to be invited into mc's home. Mc remembers there has never been an attack on the priests before and original host's temperment is calm and sweet so mc invites him in. The wolf wants mc's support. The wolf says the land is divided and there is a lack of food. The wolf wants to over power the coyotes and take thier land and food. Mc says that will disrupt the natural order. The wolf shows its teeth and says if you arnt on my side you are worthless. Wolf eats mc and mc dies. Mc loses all his points for mission failure and system is still out of commission.
Spoiler: Arc 6 Western style fantasy world Mc lost all his points because of tge last mission failure. System is updating so mc cant download original host memories. A beast attact mc and mc auto magic-kills it. Tge elves see mc and take him. They drug him and put him over fire. Mc auto puts it out with magic. They are all scared of mc. Mc escape. Mc escapes and learns that every so often they must sacrifice a person for the demon king. Demon king wants something and kills ppl who cant help him achieve the goal. Mc is human but with great magic ability. Mc finds out his name is roy. He won a championship. Mc goes on a journey. Finds a cave and rest. Theres a dragon deep on the cave mc was resting in. The dragon takes mc to a river and cought somw fish. Mc thinks ml wants to fatten him up to eat. They head back. System update is complete and tells mc the dragon is the ml. With system help ml became a human. System says no memory for mc. Original host suffers from memory lost. Mc ask ml who he is. Ml is the son of the demon king and mc is the adopted son. They grew up together. Seems to be also lovers. Mc keep asking for question. Ml wanta to kill his dad the demon king because his dad had become crazy. Dad wants to resurrect the mom. Dad is killing a lot of ppl to achieve this. Dad is the one that turned ml into a dragon and erased mc's memories. They seem to have been lovers, mc and ml. On the way the find a tournament. They win. The price is thier fortune read. The king of the location is no longer a king but a person trapped by a curse. He is with a demon. The cousin of ml. The king reads ml's fortune. He will kill the two previous ppl in his life. The dad and his lover(mc). Mc thinks he cant get away from this storyline. Mc asks what will happen if it goes bad? System says then mc will have to come back and fix the storyline. Mc buys the plot points. Ml kills mc and dad. Goes crazy like dad and tries to resurrect mc. Mc figures he should change this. They find out the dad is on mermaid island. Dad can bring back mom for a few mins then she sleeps. He talks to her and tells her about how he loves both his son but no matter what they can never compare to her his wife. They are coming to kill me. I may die before i can see u again. Dad kills a lot of mermaids to help resurrect his dad wife. Mc is implicated in the murders/dad's servent but ml doesnt belive it. He believes mc 100% ml hears a voice tellibg him. " I know you worked hard trying to believe in me. Even though you try to suppress your suspension of me, but if you do something bad. I won't forgive you. You must live with the consequences of your action if you did something wrong. See you in the next life. Ml cant remember when mc said this to him. It must have been when they were young. Ml kills dad and mermaid controlled ml and made him kill mc. Mc doesnt want to come back and redo this task so he erases ml's memories. Ml is distraught. He can feel his memories fading. Ml wants to keep his memory. Ml stand blankly by the dead body of his dad and a stranger. Ml cant figure out who the stranger is but he must bury the stranger himself. He just has this feeling. Ml keeps mc's clothes. And wonders the land.

Ml saved mc and they developed a relationship. Ml is a defender. He works for the main system. Mc says he wants to see it. They enter and mc asks if mc wants to be a tasker for the time and space school. Ml asks if mc wants a mini portable system to study. Mc agrees he wants a white dog system. Then a co-worker comes in and ml sends mc away. Later that co-worker visits mc. Mc can feel something wrong but he cant put his finger in it. The co-worker says that mc feels that the system should have no feelings but the co-worker things differently. He asks mc to work with him. Mc declines. Later ml comes angry. He asks mc if there is something mc should confess. Mc says no. Ml access mc's systems memory and a clip of the meeting of mc and the co-worker pops up But its different from how mc remembered. In it mc is colliding with the co-worker. Ml is mad and mc says its not true. Ml doesnt believe him. Then ml leaves. Everything has been crazy. Ml cant undo the damage thebco-worker did. He asks mc to give him the code break but mc said it wasnt him. Ml doesnt believe him. Later on ml found the truth. Mc was very sad that ml didnt believe him over a fake video. They meet up. Ml says lets break up. Spoiler: the present Mc wakes up and is greeted by the dog system. Theres a knock on the door its ml. Mc ignores him but says he's walking the dog. Mc pretends to be mad. Ml follows him to a cafe. Ml is like a sad puppy. Everything for mc was easy but ml had to live out the lives in the other world and some can be very long. Mc knows ml suffered a lot. Mc says do you know how i felt when you asked to break up? Ml answered , "angry" Ml tells mc that hes sorry. Before things were good. Ml lost all his friends and family during the unstable period. Ppl betrayed family abandoned friends. Ml became very hard and suspicious. Ml did the worlds in order to learn the consequences of not trusting a love one. Now that he's learned his lesson. He wants mc to get back together. They do Happy ending The end
