Just built my gaming pc and I'm looking for some good modern action JRPG recommendation. I'm aware of Monster Hunter, Code Vein and Ni no Kuni but I'm also looking for games with typical isekai novel elements or close. Not a big fan of FF series since I don't want to play turn-base combat from the very beginning just to learn the story.
Dark Soul series seems to fit the bill, though without the isekai elements. FF XII, FF XIII and FF XV all seem to also fit the bill, since none of them have anything remotely close to a turn-combat system. FF XV in particular is basically a re-skinned Kingdom Hearts... Though again, without Isekai Elements. And talking about Kingdom Hearts, it's a choice as well I guess? And I think this one has some kinda isekaish feeling? I dunno, I don't like the action RPG genre much, so I gave up on it still within the Tutorial.
