The trick is not to wash the hair itself but rather only the scalp.

I'm gonna make a wild guess and say that your hair is actually pretty oily naturally, did I get it right?

I guess @Papercut might like this brand

They only say you can use it, but no guarantee on the effectiveness though

So that's why. I never liked any of the different soaps I tried until I found a british brand soap (yardley) in a chinese store. Now it's the only bath soap I use. Looking at the ingredients, I can see why it feels different.

    Well, there you have it~

When your hair is naturally oily, you need to use something that reduces the amount of oil in it in order to keep it in a good state... Soap usually fits the bill, though it's still not recommended. But if you use it only in your scalp, you're taking the oil away from the most oily part while still keeping some natural oil in the rest of the hair, which ends up having a decent effect.

... Well, that doesn't work when your hair is naturally as dry as straw. In that case even if your scalp has some natural oil (since it always has some), you still want to remove as little as possible, and soap takes far far too much away from it, even if you put only in the scalp it is still too strong. Hence why you need shampoo specific for dry hair in those situations.
It's so good when we spend who knows how long searching for a good product, and then we finally find it and never change again, isn't it? :aww::aww::aww:

The secret to great hair is:

Get the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair.

Apply shampoo to your hair at the roots/scalp, then use the resulting lather to wash the rest of your hair.

Apply conditioner to your hair from the tips/ends of your hair, then use remaining conditioner applied to the roots to condition to your scalp.

If you have short hair, experiment with quantities until you get the right quantities to wash your hair in one go.

Wow, holy, wow, my bad, I clearly underestimate you. 50^2 is only 2500 square km, but you manage to keep 7741220 square km of Australia tiger-free! Truly, no one else is worthy of such a name.:aww:
