Is it weird to give lap pillows to your friends?

Nothing wrong with lap pillows. I used to give lap pillows to my friend too when I was a kid. Though touching other people hair is a no no for me. I don't know... Hair is just gross in general I think. At least to the touch

 

It used to be not the case back in my day just felt very strange since your friend head would be close to your crotch and i feel uncomfortable with anything that alive and moving close to my crotch.
Just saying that when I'm in the army we used to dress each others because instructor would make us do laps if anything out of place with our uniform. So before we get in line we would check each other to fix anything that stood out.

 

I would lean on my friends and vice versa. hugs also welcome. but I'm a girl, so no fujobait.
i like contact and pats. I'd like to lie on someone's lap and get patted.

I don't know. It's pretty common between my brothers and cousins so hmm... I guess it really depends on the context?
I might be fujo-baited in fiction but in reality, if it's something done between close friends or family I usually don't think too much about it.

Then I remember doing the same in elementary and the girl pushed me away while looking a bit freaked out, while I was confused by her reaction... Ever since then I don't think I've had any involvement with lap pillows.

... It's not something that seems particularly weird to me though, it's just something that stopped happening.

 

I gave a lap pillow to the boy I had a crush on when I was 7 or 8. Otherwise, it’s never been common around me. I’ve never seen people outside of manga really give or receive lap pillows. Maybe there have been and I just haven’t noticed.

 

My friend used another guy's ass as a pillow and we sometimes lie down on the floor using each other's chest as a pillow while saying corny pickup lines with each other while cringing afterwards because that was pretty gay

seriously even up to highschool i do give a lap pillow to my fellow guy, though not to the point of caressing hair. it's pretty normal when we hang around doing school work doing lap pillow things. While getting teased by a fujoshi is pretty normal to me (everything you do to your guy friends is material for them, seriosly) they do that a lot. though not to the point of suddenly famous in school like you lol.

To be perfectly fair... After a time it doesn't matter anymore. People will get used to that sight, so it becomes normal for them that this interaction exists. It may have been confusing / funny / weird to them at first, but if you don't mind? I doubt that they will see anything out of place.
For example, when I studied, I kinda massaged shoulders of my friends, simply because ... dunno, I could? Because I wanted to do anything and was bored? At some point it just became a normal sight that I would stand behind someone in a break and massage them. Would you consider that weird? It didn't take long for people (including the other studends and professors) to get used to it, so I doubt your case would be all that different.

Petting someones hair does seem to be more of an intimate kind of thing, but if you do it sub-conscious? To be honest, it is far weirder that the guys like that than you doing it in all honesty, but who am I to judge?

If you think that's okay, and your friends didn't mind too, then that's totally okay!
At my place my male friends wont really do that actually since they would think its too "gay". But at the same time, just seeing eye to eye is too "gay" for them so yeah

really? it's pretty common in my school even with the one with the opposite gender. maybe because they don't really see lap pillow as an act that involve romantic moment, they just do that naturally. Even when i suddenly lay down to some girls lap and using it as pillow they don't really make a fuss about it and act like usual.
