trying to remember a story a read i cant remember if i found it through novel updates or royal road. story starts out with an engineer about to die, while thinking about all the books he has yet to read, after death mc wakes up from being in "virtual reality" since birth and he has gone through several "reincarnation" cycles (3 or 4) and he unlocks the memory for most of them, except the one where he was "evil" and become super strong. story proceeds to battle academy something something crafting master, something something graduates and becomes a pilot and right about than i stopped reading it.
It only reminds me of “Ascendence of a Bookworm” and “Knights & Magic” if I was to splice a kid between the two and then have it get raised by SAO
similar, ive remembered a bit more, the world setting, chose to have a batch of kids chosen at birth to be born straight into the virtual world, where they would be trained and tested through living full lives in each life the mc would be able to express their "tendencies" which at the end would be collated into a report that would determine the best "position" for the individual. so in each reincarnation mc's parents where always mc's parents, but different scenarios occurred, but in each scenario the mc's primary motivation was to buy(own) and read books.
