since im bored out of my mind (and probably stuck at home for the most part of 2020) it is time to binge read as many books as i can. and that brings me to the medical syllabus. the books vary a lot over different curriculums/unis so im compiling a list that approximately matches up with most of them. there are just so many. but ive got time so what does it matter.

all recommendations and tips are welcome ^-^

Well I know that this textbook is a must read for any medical professionals concerning anatomy/ physiology. My friend said it really helped him during his finals.

Is there a reason as to why you wish to compile that list?

Well, I’m not a med student. In fact I’m going to Law school, but my entire family is in medicine and I love reading medical books so I guess I’ll answer. But also, it really depends on what you’re looking for, cardiology, oncology, infectious diseases, anatomy, etc.? But I’ll just give you some books to read that I have on my bookshelf.

    • Nursing in Today’s World: Challenges, Issues, and Trends - Janice R. Ellis, Celia L. Hartley.
    • Cardiovascular Physiology- Berne & Levy
    • Everyone’s Guide to Cancer Therapy: How Cancer is Diagnosed, Treated, and Managed Day to Day - Malin Dollinger, M.D. , Ernest H. Rosenbaum, M.D. , Margaret Tempero, M.D. , Sean J. Mulvihill, M.D.
    • Diabetes Mellitus - Lilly Research Laboratories.

Just a few I pulled off my shelf, :)

You can try Gray's Anatomy. Yes, it's an actual book. It's not a TV comedy originally.

You can also try one of the versions of Merck Manual. If the ones used by medical students are too advanced for you, you can try online version, it's designed to be easy to digest for the common people. https://www.merckmanuals.com/home

    I like your thread.
I'm studying medical engineering,I want to recommend books for you but they are all in the engineering part.
If you are looking for a pdf version of the medical books you can search in ZLibrary .

seriously thank you So Much....finding books isnt as much of an issue as acquiring them for free is. it's such a headache looking for the pdf ver. easy to find but still time consuming to look on so many sites. lww health library is an amazing source but the damned subscription is a bitvh.

    really liking zlibrary.

im mainly looking for medical books but not opposed to similar fields. u can recommend medical engineering books too. im kinda interested in that topic (just didnt want to take it up as a career) but it's still fun

This is the same issue I was struggling with, but thank god I found this Library.
Sorry sometimes I mean to write something but when I reread it again I find it unfinished.
    It is medical devices engineering
    In the engineering part :
*- Digital design work and practices , John F.Wakerly
    *- Digital fundamentals , Thomas L.Floyd
*- I don't remember the authors but the titles were "mechanical engineering " another one "electronics" and another is "fourier series " .
For the in between part is with the devices when we study them we don't use one source so I will write for you some devices you can search information for:
"Blood pressure instruments" "Medical monitoring instruments " "centrifuge " "water bath" "oven" "ECG" "autoclave " .
We haven't gone deep in the medical part so it is all general knowledge I can't recommend books in it.
