Just to point out, that story is fictitious, though washing hands is a good idea. The story is massively exaggerated for effect and their medical technology is degraded for mission stories and drama. Case in point, anyone that knows how to do PCR (polymerase chain reaction) for DNA testing would know how to make broad spectrum antivirals, but in their world, they have to "invent" it like it wasn't obvious.

It was just a coincidence, not to mention The Division is so old there is a Division 2 out now. If they were that prophetic, Covid-19 would have happened a long time ago.

But honestly tho, wash your hands after touching money. It could bring more germs than your house's toilet. You wouldn't want to know which places (and stuffs) the bills in your wallet has gone through.

i wash my hand frequently even before the corona virus spread. i usually wash my hands after touching a dog, touching something i deemed unclean, and every other time i feel like washing my hands just because i want to.

right! money, just rub som alcohol on it or you can do the deep clean one by puting all your money on a bucket filled with water and soap/detergent then rinse and dry.

This one is a fake, soap does not disintegrate protein membranes. It surrounds the bacteria/virus and flushes it away, it does not disintegrate it, the virus is still viable.

And I based my reply on a general bills on whatever country you're on, not just limited to the bills tested in the paper. Especially in developing country like mine, where even general public hygiene is highly ambiguous.

Besides, the paper just tested how well those bacterias can persist and grow on those bills on controlled situation, not how much it actually can carries after multiple journey through multiple hands, wallets, pockets, bags, whatever. It's a much, much worse situation than what the paper could point out.

Edit: Doh', I read your reply as 'read my first reply'. Need more coffee then.

Apparently, that's what Palli Thordarson said, a professor at the School of Chemistry at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. So I'm not really sure whether it's true or not, either way soap does prevent it.

Ugh. Don't remind me of that. Especially with how often we brought phones when we're 'deeply thinking' on our toilet, it wouldn't be suprising those flying fecal matter latch on our phone's surfaces, moreso than our toilet (which flushes them).
