Damn, you're right... As someone who played DQ how can I forget that! ...but then again, fans are pretty unconventional and rarely appears in most games like cards... Maybe not.
Polearms best arms. Good reasons why polearms were the weapon of medieval battles (despite the over-fetishization of swords by fantasy works leading people to think swords were more prevalent than they actually were).
That, and swords are more common that sharp things on a stick. Though once again with the mastery shit, unless you are Lu Bu or Guan Yu with some decency to the stick. One v one of course. Ps, the only lance Lancelot is good in is in between his legs.
No magic weapon? JUST A STICK option is not considered a magic weapon. MAGIC POINTY IRON STICK would have been a great option.
All open world RPGs(skyrim) i played i chose daggers or other 1 handed short swords with magic on the other basically a magic swordsman kinda play MMOs i choose assasin/rangers because they're cool. sometimes mages because magic is also cool
I have always thought "war" hammers were under utilized. Armor Piercing, Bone Breaking, Hooking/pull and drag, Weapon Smashing... Swords are balanced for our human bodies. As soon as the MC's body become stronger than the average human, the sword falls behind as a weapon compared to something heavier.
So where does the awesome Pollaxe fit into that poll?, it is a spear, axe and hammer all in one. Otherwise I would probably have to settle for either a spear or crossbow. lol
