To be fair, the only person who I thought was going to do that is Kurono, but he stepped out of the game.

Nah. People usually mean that they'd have leads to work with, but that depends on:
1) whether Chen (i.e. Cop) found a dire (i.e. mafia) or not
2) whether people actually make reads from the stuff said in D1 ...of which I don't often / almost never see

Breaking the tie is indeed considered pro-town, and making ties is indeed considered anti-town.
However, in this forum there are people whose meta makes it more difficult to actually read them.

One of those people is myself: I avoid random lynches as both alignments, since town cannot read well based on random lynches, and mafia can manipulate people easier to make town mislynch rather than having a chance of themselves getting lynched.
Another person whose meta makes them hard to read is Tilgarial. His meta claims that he wants to induce chaos, which may or may not be used against him when he rands radiant / town. As town, he wants to induce chaos, but also wants to win as town. As mafia, he just wants to induce chaos in general.

 

Why exactly do you vote him as well? And why are you sorry?

Doesn't that just make D1 obsolete if we won't make reads based on its events?

Perhaps it makes them difficult to read and it does obscure their own meta but what's the loss of voting them off if they're just going to be acting anti-town regardless of alignment?
Won't making good town play/act town as much as possible better at obscuring metas no matter your alignment?
Sure I see some newcomer ranting about how they just want to cause chaos for fun and entertainment but that's just another way of being an annoyance and a plea for a lynch, damned if you do and damned if you don't, either case the mafia won't touch them simply cause it'd make it easier to blend in so if you can't point at a mafia, might as well go for the alternative annoyance.

If you're still unsure who to vote, there's the GonZ555 bandwagon that formed relatively early IMO by Hasr11, myself and MadraRua.
You can also ask if there's something you don't get like the way I'm doing.

Cause at third vote and especially when people seem to be in a hurry to Lynch someone without proof, it starts to get suspicious. For me.
