Hummm I wonder... a favorite word. I had one of these, but I’m struggling to remember it right now. Let’s just go with serendipitous, for reasons.
if you happen to remember, do tell that's a nice one~ reminds me of "lucky", which is kinda.... cute? xD lol it's short and sweet what's your favourite word, little one~? ( ^ω^)
Well, I have a word that I use a lot when talking, almost like a catchphrase, it's "obviously" in a fancy British accent. Almost in a sarcastic tone. I don't do that online as often though because you can't use that British accent while writing, and I feel it looses its sarcastic effect. I use it so much that people around me start predicting when I'll say it. So when I'm just about to say it, they'll realize it and say it at the same time as me. lol
I like the word archipelago. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- increíble! (spanish) because it's fun to say in an exaggerated way. pronounciation (exaggerated: [in creh eeeee bleh!]) I don't have a favorite word that I can remember right now, but I'll post more that I like whenever I remember them
I never noticed which are my fav words and which ain’t, actually I never gave it a thought. So if I have to think on the words that I like it has to be the names that I have bestowed to ppl~~ Ofc I won’t write them here as for curiosity and me being curious.... it’s my defining trait XD Not everyone sates it and they need to be prodded all the time Tldr: it’s obvious why you never noticed XD
hahaha that sounds funny xD seems like "what's your catchphrase?" would be an interesting question too lmao one of mine could be just "hello" cause that's what I say everytime I come into a room (like at home), even if the last time wasn't even an hour ago... probably not so much so these days but I used to say that all the time when I was young XD archipelago is a nice one indeed. I dunno how to pronounce it but it looks nice XD kinda... hard to describe but it's somewhat aesthetic o-o if yanno I mean xDD also, that Spanish one I see, interesting... aside from names though, which words do you like? There has to be sth xD *is curious* So I never noticed cause I'm more willing to stay on a topic until everyone's curiosity is satisfied than the average person? Makes sense speaking of "curious", that's indeed a nice word~ sounds so much better than the German translation of it, which means "greedy for new [stuff?]", and the slightly better equivalent would be "thirsty for knowledge" but c'mon >_> XDD
Things I say a lot: "That's interesting" - I find a lot of things interesting to be fair. "Well..." - usually happens before I start explaining something. "In what universe?" - when the other person is either theorizing a highly improbable scenario, exaggerating a story or clearly lying to my face. "Explain" - not enough details, please elaborate. "Brosef/brosie" aka brother - 99% of the time I only use this term for my brothers and closest guy friends. Once in a blue moon I'll use it towards other guys to make them feel included. Favourite words because I like the sound of them: Whisper, silk, breath, somnolence, silence, allure. Anā, maurī, kohā, pounamu, pōuri. Favourite words due to definition: Epiphany, exquisite, hiraeth, sensual, ethereal, illicit, ephemeral, incandescent, opulent. Manaaki, arōha, kāre, atāhua, paepae, rangi, papatuānuku, pāhoro.
Oooh there's a lot of nice words there, as well as some I've never heard/seen before. One of the latter would be "brosef/brosie". What's the difference between these two? As for the ones you listed at the end, again there's quite a few I like OwO one that kinda stood out for me is "exquisite". It sounds kinda delightful (≧∀≦) which is another word I like haha xD that as well as "bliss"... dunno why but that just came to mind What's that language btw? xD
Salubrious. Used in conjunction with a person that is. Such as: He's a very salubrious person. Or it's a salubrious morning/day. It's an odd one. Only really used in parts of the west of the country. And I'm not sure why I like it - probably for the way it sounds and because it's such an odd word.
Ah! A friend of mine used to say brosie, instead of bro to his friends. I started using it too. Brosef means the same thing, except I only use it for my actual siblings. They aren't real words, just adaptations we created from 'brother'. The language is Māori and it's one of my native languages. English, Māori and Sign Language are the official languages of New Zealand. Anā - yes, that's so aka agreement to something stated or said. Maurī - essence, life force, principle of life. Kohā - gift, offering. Way too intricate for me to spend time explaining this one. Pounamu - dark green, greenstone, nephrite jade. Ours is the best of its type in the world, to the point where counterfeiting is a real problem. One country in particular is well-known for it. Pōuri - sorrow, mourn, regret, darkness. That's some of them so yeah. I like words.
wow that's an interesting one. Did a quick google and gonna read more on that now OwO we're really getting to the rare stuff now xD that may be my first time seeing that word can't unhear that "lube" in the middle... salubrious aka everything goes smoothly xD eh sign language is an official one? Does that mean you learn it in school? o-o Interesting, those words... "pōuri" kinda reminds me of "pouring rain", it really fits xD
Yeah, it's pretty interesting. Really does make you think about how people perceive things though, as it opens up the concept of "what you see isn't what other people see".
