when i say best, i mean JUST ONE what is that ONE novel you think of and will be passionate to talk about when people ask what is the best novel, best plot development and best characterisations, whatever genre, be it BG, BL, or GL. what is the best of the best for you?
Invisible Dragon Jokes aside, I don't really have favourites. But if you were to ask me to recommend you one, I would say: Dungeon Defense.
https://www.novelupdates.com/series/three-lives-three-worlds-the-pillow-book/ I could literally talk about it for days. The character growth is truly.. *chef’s kiss*
Don't you like me? On Chrysanthemum Garden, the main story is complete and the side story is bringing written now. I know for a fact that I'll despair on the day it's fully completed. Edited: also Lord of the Mysteries.
I'm currently reading Lord of the Mysteries and with my tendency to absorb personalities I read and like, it's currently the best for me. Ask me a month or so later and I'll give you a different answer.
Mm. I'll cheat abit with mine. (Especially since some "books" are absolutely massive) The Wheel of Time Series ~12 books Simply because one book itself doesn't do it justice as the growth happens across all the books.
Why is there so many bad reviews? The pic reminded me of this: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/our-second-master/
Conflicted between Omnscient Reader Viewpoint and Sovereign of Judgment, but SoJ won in the end. The story was easy to understand, no overcomplicating arc or whatsoever. The MC although remains unchanged in his desire and goals, does have character building. Other characters are not treated as screenfold and have actual capability (Richard). Shows you how easy it is to get wrapped up in revenge and becomes destructive to yourself, and that you can actually live without going after someone you hate.
Well most of the written reviews are 5 stars including mine lol. For the other people who have rated it lower, beats me everyone has their own likes and dislikes. I personally liked it a lot because of how the author wrote the mc’s character growth ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ Also I’m confused, are you talking about how https://www.novelupdates.com/series/our-second-master/ cover picture is like TLTWTPB? If so I can’t see it because there’s a portrait of man while TLTWTPB has a picture of a flower branch?? Or do you mean a different picture oops HAHAHAHAH
...... over the course of my life I've read hundreds of books. And that was before I turned to online purveyors for my literary addiction. After digital literature became popular, that number reaches into the thousands... I dont honestly think I have an all time favorite anymore. So I'll try to give some of my favorite series by genre. Pure fantasy would likely be no surprise as Tolkien is a rather big heavyweight. So I'll put the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy here. Yes I know that's actually 4 books, but you miss so much of the story if you dont read them all. And I do mean Read!!! The movies were good, but the novels were so much better imho. Transmigration into a fantasy world would have to go to the Landover series. Nice solid fantasy tropes, well written, and not many OP shenanigans. Fantasy/SciFi is an interesting combination. The one I'm fond of is the Dragons of Pern series. Chronologically it starts out as sci-fi. After the colonists are down on the new planet they are disconnected from the outside and events beat them back down to medieval times. They do later start to regain some tech, but I dont think they ever were reconnected to the interstellar community. I think my favorite Space Opera is and always will be Honor Harrington. Starts out a lowly captain of a Lt Cruiser and progresses to one of her nations best fleet commanders.
