As far as I know it's not the original creator writing Boruto, it's his assistant. The author of Naruto quit.
That's why sequel sucks since they either try hard to better than original only to fail. Or copy paste same plots of the original just changing different characters being repetitive. Or murdering the original characters just to make the new ones better but the fans just feels like it forced. Not following the existing original world laws or shit. People doing sequel tend to be lazy of making interesting new ideas. Like rather than murdering the original. They can make new stories and character by making something different rather than trying to cling to the original. Maybe rather than focusing on naruto's son. We can have characters from mist which was not explored yet. Then the original characters can have a camo for hype and not be nerf or disregard. The only sequel I like was mandolorian since it stands as it own thing just exisiting on a popular world. It would be interesting to see mist ninja that is an underdog since leaf village seems the strongest. Beside mist village seems to have lot of issue shown in first season of naruto. Maybe the MC will try to change it and grow stronger. Plus different country makes different new enemies and ninjutsu which would make it fun. Konoha can evwn become ally or do cameo. There are alot of places or story that in Naruto is untouched.
I stopped watching after I realized that Boruto was like a watered down version of the original Naruto series but with different archetypes. Like, the supposed main characters of the spin off piss me off. I actually enjoyed learning about the other people more than following a tsundere rebellious son that craves attention and an angsty teenaged girl that thinks she knows everything. The normal third wheel feels like some sort of self insert from a fan and what would happen if a totally normal person tries to be a ninja. I watched until the hidden mist ninja literally wanted to be the bloody swordsmen like in the original Naruto series. It was like the creator's were wanting Naruto and Boruto to be some sort of parallel but it comes across ham fisted and stale. Especially since Boruto has 7th grade syndrome and Sarada hates her mom for stupid reasons. Then she ends up hating her dad for stupid reasons(?) I couldn't pay attention long enough. Choji's daughter best girl imo
All I see is a series running its course down the drain. I'll say it since no one else will. Boruto (manga) is a dead cow walking.
the name boruto sounds bad. I hear it as the sound of "waste disposal" process of the human body when the waste is semi liquid.
Either Kishimoto got duped or there's a push from the publisher to change some lore or they totally forgot. I thought the one Kishimoto supervised was the one-shot only? Or maybe because it's no longer his series and anything happen with Boruto won't cause any negativity with Naruto, he let it be(?). Got to admit Boruto is popular in Japan, and Boruto's popular between younger gen just like Naruto before shippuden once was. More so if Boruto is popular then Naruto popularity will also go up and there will be more demands for complete bundle Naruto manga. P.S : On another note, I see you are an employee of 1000% shachou
After the first chapter of Boruto when the shown the village destroyed I've dropped the manga and never pick up on watching the anime. I Thank you good sir and cultured people for reaffirming that my judgment was the correct one.
I ended my commitment to the franchise with the main Naruto series. I just treat Boruto as a non-canon spin-off, refuse to engage with it and perhaps you should as well. It's a shameless cash-grab, written by somebody else, realising its own vision as a cash-grab.
