Well, the 'Zorian works in a library' arc was meant to be longer originally, and Ibery was the main supporting character in that plot thread. However, I couldn't find a way to make it interesting (even to me), so some of her arc got cut. Nothing terribly important, really.

Neither of the two were entirely honest, but Ibery did pursue Fortov rather aggressively and forced a kiss on him before getting pushed into magical poison ivy. What Fortov isn't saying is that that he accepted her help many, many times in the past, basically feeding into her crush. He never thought of her as anything other than a friend, though, it was all one-sided on her part.

 

Woah. Yeah, I can see now that Ibery/library arc was really cut short - which was actually done pretty nice and logically lol. Iirc, author just summarised the whole library arc into getting into secret archives during invasion.

They turned their attention to the source of the request, which turned out to be an older man in an expensive-looking suit. Zorian scrutinized him, trying to see if something in his features would jog his memory. He was a pretty striking person, though, so it was unlikely he would have forgotten him if he had dealt with him in the past. He had very proud posture, like someone who had been born with a silver spoon in his mouth, and his clothes and immaculate appearance reinforced it. His skin was darker than was common in this corner of Altazia, suggesting southern origins. Perhaps he was someone from Xlotic whose attention they somehow attracted?​

While watching youtube cover song I stumble upon this Music Video. The premise is time loop where main character undo ability every time he lose to giant robot, then he built weapons to defeated it. Sounds familiar, right.

 

Reminds me more of All You Need is Kill, especially the way that he writes the loop number on the back of his hand.
