    I'm not going to get political so I'll just say I dislike political ads of any kind and am curious why I'm seeing so much on here.

    What reagents said. The site doens't have anything to do with it. You could try clearing your cookies and other stuff? Or you could disable personalized ads in your google account? Perhaps that might help.

    Pretty sure it has nothing to do with the site and more to do with you caring too much about Trump.

    It simply could be geotargeting. I doubt it has anything to do with a person searching for Trump unless the person who set up the campaign is an idiot (That would be throwing out money, The only ones who would set up ads for a politicians name would be negative ads). Of course it is possible that the one managing the campaign is targeting a specific issue, then that is possible. For example, Coronavirus is a big thing for the campaign, so if people search for that keyword they might want to target ads there that will instill confidence or etc.

    But most of the time, these ads tend to just be geographical based. Like swing states.

    I'm not sure...but there's something about Trump ads that appeal to people.

    ... I can't seem to put my finger on it.
    I'm gonna guess it is because he is a Pokemon.

    Well it's mostly on your local search history, even if you have disabled ad sense it does keep track, though I still haven't figured it out.

    I second @MadraRua’s suggestion. I know I’ve personally seen ads on this site that had nothing to do with me or my internet habits—including a polyamorous pseudo-incestuous pedophilic real life dating ad—also before I got an adblocker I kept getting an ad for the most disgusting looking sweatshirt and I kept blocking the ad and it kept coming back. I also sometimes get conservative ads on other sites, even though I’m a die hard liberal.

    Uh, like many other had said:
    - search tracking; you (or any other people who used the same IP as yours) searched about trump, Trump, or anything related to it/him, political or not.
    - ISP-based targeted ads, usually per region.
    - the meme gods somehwere up there hath beseech you to laugh (ironically or not) at him to ease (and at the same time, worsening) your depression in this quarantine.
    - the FBI guys currently handling your IP is trolling you hard right now.
