As the title suggests, I'm looking for novels with a magic cultivation System. Examples include: Coiling Dragon Warlock of the Magus World End of the Magic Era A Wizards Secret The Book Eating Magician Advent of the Archmage / Descent of the God of Magic I heard of and read the first few chapters of: Warlocks Apprentice The Wizard World Age of Adepts But I'm hesitant to dive into any of them cause the beginning was boring. They they turn out better? I tried A Sorcerer's Journey but couldn't get into it. Only thing I ask for is a legitimate cultivation system of Magic and the MC cultivates it. There's Omni-Magician but the MC focuses more on artifacts and armor than Magic cultivation. Law of the Devil too but MC isn't good at cultivation and its more about political intrigue. I'm a little eh about Japanese novels. They're usually filled with dense MCs and cliche dialogue. But if theres a good one with magic let me know (not Magi's Grandson / Kenja no Mago. This is what I'm talking about when I say dense MCs and stupid dialogue. Plus I don't think there is a cultivation system in this novel. Just how well you can use magic or manipulate it)
Badge in Azure - till now did i not read this Novel, but has Proper Magic System. Start can be a bit slow. Has Wiki if you need it. The Arcane Emperor - RoyalRoad Novel - Mc here uses only Magic. I think you will like it. Atros Imperium - RoyalRoad Novel - Not Really a Novel with Magic System. More like simple Magic uses, without a Real Ranking. Maybe if you are Bored and need anything to Read. The Storm King - RoyalRoad Novel - A bit like the Novel above this, Atros Imperium, but less Kingdom Build, not that it has much. Honestly i almost forgot this Novel, didnt read it since Years. But it too has Magic. Just give it a Try.
Birth of demonic sword. A mix of mages and cultivators. Everyone is a triple class ( mage, body refiner, cultivator), it's interdependent and its kinda a cool power system. Mc is somewhat smart, he isn't hot-blooded, and at the same time he isn't too cold-blooded (which I actually feel pretty sad). Not that he won't hurt innocents. a good read.
Cultivation Chat Group World of Cultivation When A Mage Revolts Release that Witch Perhaps these might satisfy you. Also have you tried Er Gens novel? Like I Shall Seal The Heaven, Renegade Immortal, Pursuit of the Truth, A Will Eternal? You might want to give them a shot if you didn't already.
Reverend Insanity the magic is really good in later part, at first you were only shown a little part of it but later at immortal part the system is better explained
Thanks. I tried Badge in Azure but yea , even after several chapters it was slow. I'll look into the rest
Yea Cultivation chatroom was one of those dense MCs with cliche dialogue I didn't want World of Cultivation I read several hundred chapters a year or two ago. I might be remembering wrong but wasn't it a Immortal cultivation novel? Like Er Gens novels (Foundation, Golden Core, etc) Release that Witch I tried and dropped cause I thought only girls can practice magic? Can the MC? Does he? I love Er Gens novels but they are not magic system but Immortal System.
Add ons Solo Leveling. Seoul Station Necromancer. I have a manor in the post apocalyptic world. the Great Demon King (but mc follows the qi system, but later on he practices both divinity. )
Thanks. I read these and liked them. Great Demon King I mtl'ed over a 1,000 chapters ahead a couple years ago and not I'm waiting for translation to catch up
I tried Omni Magician but he focused more on his armor and making stuff than cultivation so I dropped it Versatile Mage, I dropped but I might pick up again.
Let me tell you something first: I have read it until ch2100+ and I'm certain that this is not power up novel because for the MC to raise his cultivation he not only has to understand the principle and knowledge behind his cultivation, he also has to wait for the right momentum. For the wait, it could be few months or even few years. Meanwhile in this novel, the author made the MC so busy with: 1. His cultivation, including how to understand many phenomenons and mysteries that appeared around him (one thing to note is that MC often spent his time together with his slaughterer, sadistic teacher - which is rarely shown in other LN - exploring those things) 2. Relationship between his friends, teachers & enemies 3. Many grand plots and schemes of great characters / groups 4. The greediness of many side characters, which often led to many new stories to explore Yeah, there are so much things happened in this novel yet all of them are enjoyable to read (at least for me). And lastly, the author rarely skip any plot and time in this novel, everyday in MC's life is so meaningful. Author described MC's life in detail yet enjoyable to read (again, at least for me). Now, the answer for your question(s): Yes, it's so f*cking slow. Do you want to know how slow is this novel? Spoiler: Is this slow? If I'm not wrong, there's already 6 tier of cultivation described (0 tier included) in this novel so far (ch2100+), yet the MC has not reach the peak of the 1st tier
