It somehow made me think of I Have a Mansion in the Post-apocalyptic World for the fact that MC can travel between a modern world and an apocalyptic one. The necromancer part gives it a different touch tho so maybe is interesting
It seems like this is a guy with a necromancer system getting transported into an apocalypse. So kinda of like a cross between God and Devil World/Doom Lord with the better aspects of I have a Mansion in the Post Apocalyptic world. It seems pretty decent so far although not much has happened in the 10 chapters I read. Here's a very basic summary of the first 10 chapters: Spoiler: Spoilers for the first 10 chapters (duh) Chapter 1: Main character (Ye Yang) suddenly woke up one day with the System Panel. He is a level 1 necromancer with only a corpse control/resurrection skill. He tried testing it a couple of times but it's difficult for him to get access to the bodies he needs in surveillance state China (there are several requirements like minimal damage to heart and brain, the body must have been living 15 minutes ago, etc.) Half a year ago, he got the Cross Dimension transfer skill with a garbled up description. He finally decides to bite the bullet and try using the skill. His motivation is that necromancers are known for their long lifespans and if the skill can give him an opportunity to get to a high enough level, that may mean he gets a lot of power and lifespan He spends a month preparing and finally activates the skill. Chapter 2 He transfers to a post apocalypse world. The skill description clears up and he finds that the skill actually transports him to a random alternate reality. After "binding" a world, the skill is used to hop between the two world. He also finds several conditions on how much mass and volume can be transported as well as the fact that the skill has a 20 day cooldown. So he essentially has to survive in the alternate world for 20 days which makes things a lot more suspenseful than most of the other world hopping stories. The upgrade method is stilled garbled. He appears in the alternate reality version of his home, everything is the same except for a layer of dust + the lack of running utilitie He has some food and water thanks to his preparations (a lot of the food and water has been lost due to the mass/volume restrictions) and decides to fortify himself for 20 days. He finds a zombie outside his place and realizes that there isn't a good way to get outside without getting caught He spots a living person on the other side of the road sneaking out of another apartment Chapter 3 The person disappears from his vision. He hears what seems like gunshots in the distance. Man come running back, carrying provisions and chased by a horde of zombies. They soon get surrounded. Ye Yang thought that the man was about to die when he suddenly starts transforming into a werewolf. Werewolf pushes back the zombies but eventually gets tired, is overwhelmed, and dies Chapter 4 Ye Yang successfully resurrects the werewolf and orders it to kill the zombies He realizes that he can level up from killing zombies. (1 zombie = 1.31 EXP/energy. 1000 exp is needed to level up. Killing the other zombies also give him 1 proficiency in his corpse Resurrection skill. 1000 proficiency is needed to skill up He commands the werewolf undead to continue killing the zombies. Chapter 5 A night passes and they wipe out most of the zombies near his home. He is 2/10ths of the way to leveling up He decides to start heading out to explore, the first thing that he does is check out the apartment of the werewolf Ye Yang finds food, supplies, and a map of the entire city. Chapter 6 He decides to explore the area around him and has his werewolf out fighting while he hides himself. He suddenly hears the voice of a woman yelling out As he approaches, he listens to what seems like a domestic dispute. Man is ordering the woman to leave and grab food, woman is protesting that it's unsafe, that the emergency siren hasn't rang, etc. When he arrives at the location, he finds out that the woman has been kicked out and is crying outside the apartment. Although she still has bruises on her and a red palm print on her face from getting slapped she was still a stunning beauty (harem member 1 spotted?) The two decided to cooperate together to get food. The woman knows where the food is stored and Ye Yang offered to help get it. Woman explains that the food is at the supermarket. The reason why they haven't fortified up in the supermarket is because it's too large and there are too many entrances and other things like collapsed walls that can't be sealed off. Usually, she would wait for the siren to ring so the zombies would get attracted by the noise and leave the supermarket. We find out that the female's name is called Su Yujuan (no clue what the translation should be). Ye Yang spots an infected wound on Yujuan's hand. Upon noticing his attention to her hand, she bursts out into tears Chapter 7 Ye Yang moved away from the woman but instead of doing something, she just kept crying After she finished venting her emotions, she knocks on the door to her apartment, telling her lover that she was infected and that she wanted to see him for the last time Guy tells her to piss off. She breaks down again. After some time, she finally recovers and asks Ye Yang to help her suicide After hesitating, Ye Yang decides to give her enough sleeping medication to sleep, saying that he would kill her afterwards. She falls asleep and Ye Yang has the werewolf kill her painlessly (RIP Harem candidate #1) He then orders the werewolf to beat down the apartment door Chapter 8 Werewolf captures the scumbag was a disabled person (missing a hand and damage to the other hand) Guy pleads for mercy but YY says that it was scumbag's fault that Yujuan died. Her wound wasn't from a zombie but because scumbag hurt her and the wound got infected. Scumbag says it's his right to beat his wife, the most that would happen is that he gets arrested, etc. YY is furious says how scumbag was almost useless but his wife was still loyal to him. Yet, in the end, he still abandoned her. More scumbag pleading for his life, saying how he would be useful, etc. YY decides to temporarily hold off on killing the guy until he finishes answering questions. Chapter 9 We find out that the reason why people haven't left the city was because the roads were badly damaged (massive crevasses all over the place), zombies would be attracted towards the sound of vehicles, there are hordes of rats roaming around and there is this strange barrier of fierce wind sealing off the town. Unless it is a large group of people or other routes are discovered, it would be hard to leave More back and forth about what the couple have done to survive for the last three months and how he was an a-hole for leaving his wife to do everything We also find out more about what happened during the beginning of this apocalypse. It started with the internet and phone networks being frozen. Then, it was followed up by an air raid siren which caused people to hide inside. Apparently, there was some people who got mysterious calls to travel to the nearest military base a day or two in advance. As such, this would indicate that the higher ups were aware that there would be a zombie outbreak. The social elite were saved along with a couple of lucky folks while everybody else was indoors which minimized the initial impact of the zombie outbreak. The air raid siren would ring every day which would help attract zombie and enable the survivors to go get supplies. However, the sirens stopped ringing a week ago. YY spots a helmet nearby and realizes that the werewolf was also wearing the same type of helmet when it died He asks what that helmet is for and scumbag gasps and asks him who he really was, whether he was an alien from some other world or something. Apparently, this helmet is part of the "common sense" of this world. Chapter 10 After questioning, scumbag spills the beans; this helmet is for connecting to a VR world. YY decides to kill the guy since his loyalty is very questionable and scumbag may reveal his suspicions of YY. He tells werewolf to break the guy's legs and let the zombies eat him Afterwards, he heads to the supermarket with the intention of getting supplies and maybe turning it into a stronghold.
Interesting synopsis and thanks for the first 10 chapters reveals I would also like to get this picked up it's ticking the apocalypse boxes I'm needing right now. Plus I struggle to find decent enough novels about necromancers.
I'm picking this up, first chapter will be posted soon. I've been really hooked on necromancer novels recently, but apparently I haven't been able to find anything good. This one had potential, so I will translate it as I read it.
