As the title said, I'm very INTERESTED to know about largest unit of foreign currencies.. e.g. in my country, BND10,000 is the largest unit which is equivalent to USD7,100
There was fairly recently introduced 500 PLN note. I have never seen it in real life. Because people collect whatever is released in hope to sell later with profit.
Biggest unit of Euro is 500 but I have never actually seen a 500€ bill and I think the biggest in regular use is 200€ (abot 542usd and 217usd repectively)
The highest denomination of the Indian Rupee currently in circulation is 2000 (equivalent to only USD 26.54). Damn, the rupee has lost the face of India.
If you're purely interested in bank notes with absurd numbers of 0s, then there's Zimbabwe's 1 trillion dollar note. Otherwise, for bank notes with the highest value worth, then probably the $100,000 USD note is the largest I've heard of.
10$ note. tobe more exact it might be around USD 8$ or 7$ note. but wow dat brunei dollar is more dollar than the brunei itself. but why zimbabwe is like that tho. feels surreals that we would never use them
500€ are no longer produced, only the remaining ones are still circulating until they get to a bank. That was done together with last years redesign of the 200€ bill ^^
If you're from Brunei, your $10,000 dollar note is probably the highest value note in use in the world today, other than the Singapore $10,000 note which is the same thing but got discontinued. The others just have big numbers but their purchasing value is low, the BND one has actual value.
There used to be RM1000 notes in Malaysia, but due to fears of money laundering, the largest denomination was reduced to RM100 in 1996. Well, it's not much of a problem. Most people don't use more than RM100 a day anyway. Even a wagyu steak cost around RM100 per meal, depending on the cut. Most people can eat well with just RM20, though Ai-chan thinks that's still pretty expensive for a meal. But we do have Kijang Emas (Gold Stag) an actual 99.999% gold coin which rich people use among themselves.
Eh!!? I thought RM500 is the largest! Before the pandemic bruneian always filled Sarawak and Sabah especially KK, Limbang and Miri..Owh I miss to go to limbang
I miss Brunei. Quiet, and peaceful (that what I think when I visit there). Accompanied by gaming laptop. In the middle of jungle. Ah life is good.
Yeah, there used to be RM 1000 and RM500 but Ai-chan thinks it was stopped after the politician incident where he brought a large amount of undeclared money through customs. RM1000 and RM500 would still be legal tender but any that you find would've been manufactured before 1996 back when Malaysia printed their own money. Nowadays Australia prints Malaysia's money.
The largest amount we have is a one hundred dollar note, which is equivalent to around $60.20 USD I think.
