Does the other god of origin get affected by Van's root skill?

 

we know that it works on gods in two worlds. I don't see why it should not work, it even allowed van to look back into rods divine realm when it was still abyss.
on the other hand what would the gods of origin do to trigger it?

So, it’s mostly a chapter about everyone else. Schneider is having a dilemma. He is an old man, however people keep accusing him of being young. Truly the worst problem in the history of problems. Thanks to Van, skills that were previously thought to be unique have been more accessible, such as Zod’s muscle manipulation. Schneider also recounts his efforts to take down Heinz’s faction and pities Selene. Selene is being used as a saint in an attempt to compete with Darcia, however who could possibly compete with her. She can summon Vida’s incarnation, is super powerful herself, and is one of the most loving and charismatic people in the world. Heinz’s faction ain’t looking so good right now. The people who threw their lot in with it are kinda stagnating in progress and they can’t help it. The Vida fundamentalist faction is growing too powerful to stop. Schneider notes that he could kidnap Selene but Van would just tell him to return her. Eleanora and Bellmond are working to get artsy skills so they can earn jobs so powerful that they can compete with Isla. They hate how closely related her job is to Van.

 

Also they asking an advice to basdia since she the onr who get Queen as race first in van close associate thought its seems elanora end up with princess curse too

Let's hope Van won't find out about a certain "self-proclaimed young man"'s party being the potential cause.

System is sure cruel to him. First he got himself as a job, now this. What's next? Race: Vandeleus? Skill: Vandeleus Transformation?

 

"The Self Proclaimed Human"

So the Storm of Tyranny have been gathering intel on the various sectors of the Fazon Duchy to see how prepared they are for war and what sort of weak points they have that could potentially be exploited. But first let's talk about [Muscle Technique]! Zod has been using [Muscle Technique] to look smaller and scrawnier in Amid, as his original form as a massive muscular man kinda stands out. And following not only Van, but also Legion and Yuuma learning versions of [Muscle Technique] from Zod, Schneider thought maybe he could learn it too... though he mostly just wanted it for its handiness in disguising himself like Zod does, rather than for shooting lightning out of his muscles. Schneider starts complaining that it's hard to breathe and move around when he disguises himself (since he's shrinking the space between his joints and shifting his organs), only for everyone else to start pointing out that now he knows how real old people feel like, and maybe it's time to stop with the "look at how old I'm getting" crap, you self-proclaimed old man.

Schneider tries to counter that he's really not immortal from bathing in the blood of dragons and other demon king's army remnants, he's just in good shape because he watches his health and diet! Anyone who goes to sleep early and wakes up early, has a balanced diet, and other stuff he does would be in just as good shape! Apparently Schneider is such a health nut he even had a magic device in his mouth that broke down the alcohol he was drinking at the bar earlier, because drinking too much isn't good for your looks. At this point one of the party members (I'm guessing Lissana for certain reasons we'll come back to) tells him if he keeps these kinds of denials up the [Self-Proclaimed Old Man] title he acquired is eventually going to just turn into [Self-Proclaimed Human] instead (You're an immortal demigod Schneider! Just accept it! )

Anyway, onto the intel. Dalton investigated the adventurer's guild in the capital of the Fazon Duchy. The influx of temple forces and heroes from throughout Orbaume hasn't been dealt with that well on Fazon's side. As there's a bunch of more powerful heroes and temple knights and priests wandering around, lots of jobs are being taken care of by them in no time at all, even all the way down to public maintenance jobs like repairing roads. The priests are happy to do these things for free as acts of charity, meaning even E class adventurers are losing work. Unfortunately, duke Fazon isn't getting involved (in fact he's the one who pretty much pushed them to "earn their keep" by taking on jobs in the first place). The guild has no reason to get in the way of the heroes, who are also adventurers. And they can't really do anything to the temple priests, who are part of a fellow major organization whose toes they don't really want to step on (Pharmaun basically made "we don't want to be getting involved in religious matters" part of the adventurer's guild when he started it). So instead various adventurers have abandoned the capital of the duchy, going to smaller towns and villages where work is more plentiful and cost of living is lower. As such, it looks like Fazon won't be able to leverage all of their adventurers in Alda's planned war, and Schneider and co won't really have to worry about the adventurer's guild.

Lissana investigated the temples in town meanwhile. As the former [Evil God of Intoxication and Degeneration] she was the best choice for making contact with any subordinate gods who might want to defect after all, as they'll be able to notice someone with divinity is wandering around somewhere in their temple. She thought that the temples seemed very much like the temples during the Demon King War, with the priests and temple knights trying to drum up morale and scurrying about. The individual believers coming in and out of the temple seem more nervous though, thinking some major crisis must be coming. Also Van defeating Guduranis has become public knowledge in the temples, as there are temples for Vida and Peria in the territory who actually announced those oracles, and news from the other duchy's couldn't be suppressed. So looks like Alda won't be able to easily leverage the general population either.

Merdin looked into the situation with the nobles, getting in touch with spies for Alchem and Jahan in the duchy as well (all the dukes spy on each other given they are rivals at the same time as they are allied against Amid). It seems Duke Fazon hasn't been making public appearances recently. And rumor has it it's because he's endlessly praising Alda, Bellwood and Heinz the same way various undead endlessly praise Vandalieu (read: he's gone complete religious zealot). Which ain't a great look for a duke ruling a territory. I mean even Van keeps Nuaza out of Vidal's actual government affairs. Dalton suggests that that may not necessarily be true, and perhaps the nobles in the Alda faction are just controlling and suppressing him instead, but he's not very hopeful. Uh, but regardless, Alda's going to have some trouble leveraging all the nobles in Fazon too.

Selen meanwhile is being propped up in Fazon as an alternative to Darcia as the saint of the Alda harmony camp. It's unsurprisingly not going very well though.

Alda Harmony: We want to reconcile with Vida. We have this Dhampir girl who's half a new race of Vida! She doesn't really do much else...
Vidal: Okay, well, we have the living incarnation of that same Vida you say you want to reconcile with so badly right here. She also just helped save the world from the resurrected Demon King. And she thinks you're a bunch of lying jerks. So...

Schneider notes that normally he'd kidnap a major figure like Selen (you know, like he did with Marshy) to damage Alda Harmony, but he doesn't really feel comfortable with doing that to a kid like Selen who's clearly just being used as propaganda by the adults around her rather than having any real control in the Alda Harmony faction. Schneider also thinks Van would get angry at them for kidnapping Selen after he made it clear to others not to touch her. But Zod actually thinks Van would have a different response: "You decided to pick her up, so now you've got to take care of her!" (what is she, a stray cat Van?) Van would be happy to have Schneider be in charge of Selen for the rest of her life (again, Schneider's immortal, so he's got the time. ) so Van wouldn't have to worry about her at all ever again! She's your problem to deal with now Schneider! For Forever! Forever! Schneider concludes that sounds like a total hassle, and thus he definitely won't be kidnapping Selen.

Anyway, we now cut over to Van, who's gone to the dark continent as Deanna has already given birth to Van's new daughter, Aradia. Elenora and Bellmond are there too, trying to get tips from Basdia on how to acquire a [Queen] rank given Isla got one... but unfortunately the only thing particularly new Basdia has to teach them is how to sing and dance. Aradia meanwhile seems to be a very polite girl so far, using very formal speech compared to the more childish Bakunawa. And as for Van... he's just passed out, thanks to a certain evil god gathering intel in a certain duchy saying that if you kept making certain types of denials over and over again, you'd get a [Self-Proclaimed Human] title. Which Van promptly did.

Finally end with status sheets for Elenora, Bellmond and Basdia. Elenora's [Mystic Eyes of Fascination] are level 10, so might evolve into something crazy soon. She also picked up a divine protection from Ricklent. Time mages go! Bellmond got an [Erase Presence] awakened stealth skill. Basdia's been taking a lot of [Axe] related jobs lately, including [Magic Axe Wielder] [Axe Idol], [Axe Master] and [Giant Axe Master]. She also got a [Queen Shield Technique] awakened skill. So come, you're clearly doing something right! Whisper to Elenora and Bellmond the secrets of empresses and queens, Basdia! (so they might be freed of being a princess and an emperor)

I wonder if Alda is frothing at the mouth seeing a dhampir propped up as a saint for his religion/followers. Especially since he was hoping she'd get killed earlier in the story.

I wasn't talking about using Holy Water and alike to kill van's companions. I was talking about some of Van companions/allies may die in the future war fighting against Alda forces and before their spirits come back to Van or get undeaded, Alda's heroes might shower them with holy water to send their spirits straight to reincarnation so as to not come back to life again. Kill first, purify later right away.

I ve complete forgot about such scenario. Indead, it will be really funny if by chance Amid army tries to rain holy water and silver arrows and waste mana with a wide range high quality light atribute'sunlight spell on Van army just to see that there is no effect... There is some white smoke coming out from the undead soldiers, but they don´t quite look weakened, rather, looks like they just poured some water into a huge chunck of incandescent metal just to make some vapor

Since Alda hero army was so kind as to give them valuable silver, water to cool down the heat and a shiny welcome, why not give them some gift too? Throw several valuable golens on them, after the golems get hit in the middle of the air they explode! Such a explosion isn´t a treat to Alda brave heroes... but this strange red smoke is very dense and isn´t clearing, rather, isn´t it spreading through the battle field?...

Screams and people scratching their armors and skin began to appear everywhere, are they non-smoke people perharps? should we give them normal cigarettes or something heathier? Very well, Eisen, prepare the apples, we need to show them ou courtesy, throw everything you have on them.

Basdia awaken Axe technique is level 3... I could swear it would have been a higher level by now . Her shield technique is awakened to Queen Shield Tecnique, my MTL translated it was "Princess Shield Tecnique" for some reason though


It is just me, or Dalton is able to use his chaos skill to turn himself into a bird to spy the adventurer guild? Why am I imagining a muscular Mohicaned Vulture in a tree next to Fazon adventurer guild?.

Anyway, today we learned a lot about how health habits leads to a health and longevifull body with Schneider. EVERYONE PRAISE SCHNEIDER! THE NEXT 5° GUIDER, adventurer HEALTH GUIDER! Will he acquire the divine protection of the Goddess of Health Deborah?

From this I learned two things, 1, that the creation of Aradia was not something that was done randomly and that Densuke must have prepared it from a couple of chapters before, perhaps during his break between Volumes, which makes me worry and be grateful for densuke's dedication to the work, 2 that Aradia is very likely to have a mother complex or on the contrary is going to become a priestess in the secret cathedral that Nuaza and the bee girl are building underneath the statue of Van, though I am more inclined to the first taking into account who his father is or a combination of ambaz if I see Bakunawa

I have wondered for a while, does Schneider always insist that he is old or does he make exceptions like when he plays with his children and grandchildren or when he "plays" with his women?

 

I re read the chapter, Dalton went to the adventurer guild disguised as a male human race guy, he didn't transformed himself into a bird, it is just that everything were quite deserted that you could hear some bird's sounds in the background.

Because he actually is young, so it is useless... unless Van makes a fake a muscle massage as youth transformation for Schna believe he is young and full of libido... energy again. He used to fight monster for 3 days and nights after all.

As for Schneider "plays" with women, he "calmed down" after getting old. But such calm coming from someone with extreme sexual stamina probably means he just do as much as a normal man by now.
