    I have to say I'm glad that Basdia is an axe/shield warrior. I can't think of too many characters with that combo

    whos the enemy that stole some of vans abilities and skills?

    Did van get it all back?

    was it the same enemy whos got the ability to see his status?

    To add to Ante's answer: after a fighting for a while the Van Soul Frag [tm] that the god of thievery and cannibalism eated, eated him inside out more or less, then Van nom-nomed him and recovered his 'lost' skill, which he only lost proficiency on, not really the ability to use them.

    Also, IIRC the knight with the magic eyes ended up going "Onee-sama~♡" for Darcia after the fight and the duke became an ally (who thought that he should work extra hard to not dissapoint Van, even when Van thought he should take things more calmly).

    What even happened with him anyway? Completely ignored after the whole 'you are my daugther and a princess now' thing happened? Now that I think about it, didn't he stop being so full of himself after Van happened and he learned that he is just a tiny fish in the deep sea nightmare that is Vidal?

    as far as i remember, yes exatly that. he understood his position after randalf saved him. and van gave him a warning: if you go out with my stuff, i will go out with yours. and you know who is the easier target for nobles.

    Seeing as we’re in the spoiler chat, I won’t bother with the tags. Alex couldn’t read van’s status. When he looked at him, it pulled up a big mess of a screen that Alex couldn’t understand. All he knew was that there’s a lot there. He later on dies and when the gods go to check his memory, they also can’t understand the status he saw.
