Lazy Dungeon Master builds up his dungeon and village somewhat lazily and slow. Civ VI is a good kingdom building game. There's a promotion going on for it right now but it'll end on 5/28/20 so check out quickly. Hope it helps
Heh, i meant it more in a sense of the "game" being in a novel, like The World Online, but thanks anyway, I'll check it out.
Okay, there's Wortenia Senki, kingdom-building comes later though. I only read the manga and it didn't reach that far yet but it's fairly realistic while still being fantasy setting. Skill Taker’s World Domination is okay too. I haven't read this one so I'm not sure but there's also I’m the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire!
I personally enjoyed Tales of the Reincarnated Lord but the beginning was rough. Release that Witch is a popular one.
Kingdom building is a weird new sub-genre in that it is extremely hard to write. honestly, a novel that focuses on logistics is probably non-existent. The MC would probably just introduce this new discover from his old world via infodump, tell it to his *extremely talented* subordinates, then have it be reproduced with minimal effort on his side of things. I wouldn't blame the authors. It's a difficult sub-genre. That's why it's probably better to just stick to politics and warfare (not because they're good at it which they are mostly not) because it's the only thing most people can relate to or have some minimal knowledge of it, however minuscule it may be. I used to be satisfied by the average run of the mill kingdom building novels such as Release that Witch and Realist Hero, but I seem to have outgrown them. Especially since I started reading history and economy books in order to research for my own kingdom building novel that I plan to write.

These books do exist, at in Chinese, but they rarely get translated so the pickings are slim unless you're willing to read them in Chinese. The ones that seem to be active are "My Father in Law is Lu Bu" and "The Empress’ Livestream"; the latter being much better than the former. "Great Tang Idyll" goes into a lot of detail about all the management but it might have been dropped. In general historical novels are going to do a better job of this than books with fictional settings.
I Have a Mansion in the Post-apocalyptic World honestly one of my favourite kingdom building novels. Dude gets to teleport between a destroyed china in the future and a modern day china, basically gets all the goodies from the future that aren't expensive and sells them in modern day and because its an apocalpyse he just sells food in the other world to trade for these techs, goes in to quite a lot of detail regarding the logistical side of things though the ending does get a bit out of proportion imo but still very entertaining nonetheless. Also its not totally china propoganda, Spoiler he doesnt really stay in china long and goes off to make his own place
Sovereign of the Karmic System's really good and underrated, but its more action/drama than kingdom building, tho he builds a kingdom in his pocket dimension (cultivation WN)
