From her talent, and everyone who cherised her. Maybelle got baffled with this random topic. Phon continued his sentence, and the wind blew sharply. Maybelle didn't hear the words <GDI Phon. no need to throw random wind magic in this precious moment!!!! Or is it just a mere coincidence ? > - Rykell informed Phon that now Maybelle already aware of the real situation when he sent Phon to another bedrest session. Phon rose from his seat and approached Maybelle. He wanted to tell her something, and hesitated for a moment. - Now Phon is permanently tied to Maybelle. She is the official holder of the rein. Phon explained more about the experiment, Phon is able to choose his master. if he didn't choose the emperor as his master or got caught by the empire, brainwashing will be the other option. - Of course Maybelle is not happy about this. She stood up and yelled about the serious situation. She was ready to drag Phon and met Rykell to look for other options. - Phon caught her hand, and started to joke around. Maybelle is not amused. The situation turned sour and Phon told Maybelle that he also hated being forced like this. He wanted Maybelle to consider him as her friend forever. Maybelle agreed. She will be Phon's friend even without the rein. <uh.. Phon? You really looks like a lost child in this scene.. > - Phon confessed his greatest fear to Maybelle. He is afraid that the monster will breaks free and destroy the world. He will try his best not to use the power, but of course there will be an end to such days, and he wanted Maybelle to stop him. - Maybelle thought about her past and the one who helped her in the hardest time. Phon helped her, and now it's the time for her to help him. Maybelle promised to hold the rein (one more reason to get stronger!!!), and asked Phon to take care. - Phon : " yes, My Lady". ====== - Tea time ended. Laura & Liza brought the tea set back to the mansion. Phon & Maybelle remained in the garden. Maybelle wondered why Rykell didn't go out when he usually spent his time together with her at this hour. - Phon speculated that Raul asked Rykell to do the final check if the chain in body is truly dissapeared. - Maybelle thought about the mansion. Vivi returned to the village, Aslan & Von will be away, and Raul & Raney must return to their land. She thought that it will be a bit lonely, but then she felt better because Rykell, Phon, Abel, Khan, Florence Sisters, Riri,Lasol, and Ig will always there with her.
Spoiler: Chap 173 : WHAAAAAT??? WHY? NOOOOO -_- - Maybelle finally realized that Phon was busy observing her while she lost in her own thought lol. - Maybelle felt a bit sad because of the parting, Phon agreed... And he tried to comfort Maybelle, by singing. Maybelle couldn't say anything for a while because she was amazed. Phon reassures Maybelle that she will meet Vivi and Aslan again (he was not enthusiastic with the latter lol). Then he added : he actually came to say goodbye. - Phon needs to stabilize his power, and he will hibernate for a while. There is a good chance that Phon will gain better control of the forbidden power, and he definitely needs it in the future because he wants to protect Maybelle. - Maybelle felt disappointment started to creep in. Phon just wakes up and now he will go into a deep slumber again. even if he slept in the mansion, Maybelle couldn't talk to him. - Maybelle asked how if she miss Phon?. Phon approached her and before he said something... - Abel came. he brought an envelope. cue the usual banter between Phon and Abel. <it seems that Abel got punished again, and he was able to meet Maybelle because of this errand> - Maybelle wanted to ask Phon, when will this hibernation begin. She decided to wait until Abel left. Now she shifted her attention to the envelope. - Maybelle opened the envelope and magic started to flow. A combination of snowflakes and flowers. Maybelle and Phon recognized Rykell's magic....
- Rykell sent Abel on purpose loooool. The best way to distract Phon is to add Abel in the same place, because they automatically start bickering . Rykell's letter to Maybelle is a pure gold. -Poor Phon got degraded from "disciple" to "that guy", and Maybelle should call Rykell if "that guy" tries something funny. Jealous Papa is the best Papa - oh, and Rykell added a warning to Maybelle : she should keep her distance from Abel. 10 steps.

When she woke up, Rykell already sat beside her with a book in his hand. - Rykell helped Raul to check if there is a side effect from the broken covenant in a secluded place in the wasteland. - Maybelle told Rykell about Phon's hibernation. Rykell was not surprised at all. He was the one who gave the advice to Phon to face his inner self when Phon is much younger than Maybelle. Phon will be stronger, and nothing will change besides his strength. The thing is : Phon hated himself, and his head is full of revenge. Rykell didn't force Phon and let him studied swordsmanship and other magic. - Rykell felt a bit annoyed by Phon's decision because the reason is bloody obvious. He muttered that he should sent Phon away earlier looool. Maybelle is worried. She is afraid that Phon will sleep forever. Rykell couldn't determine how long Phon will hibernate, because it depends on his will. but he reassures Maybelle that it won't be that long. - Maybelle discussed about "growth" with Rykell. everyone around her seems to take a step forward. Rykell put the book and now there is a comb in his hand. He combed Maybelle's hair carefully while listening to his daughter. Maybelle's imagination started to get wild and told Rykell that she wanted to be taller than... VON KYLE. Rykell said better not to, because it will be hard for him to hug his daughter. Maybelle thought hard about it, and revised her idea. Maybelle praised Rykell's skill with comb, and he blushed!. He muttered that he will practice harder. Maybelle now wished for Rykell's happiness, she wanted Rykell to be happy, more than what she feels right now. Rykell recalled his wedding with Galatea, and his feeling at that time. Rykell told Maybelle that she is his daughter with Thea (galatea's nickname), his only treasure left in the world. <this is sooo cuuute!!!> - Dinner time is coming, and Rykell left the room. Maybelle hold Rykell's book, when she tried to read the book, another visitor came. It was Abel. Abel had something to say to Maybelle. He said that he will grow. Maybelle automatically pestered him how tall will he grow (she thought that the "grow" he mean is the "height" lol. she was too obsessed to be taller than Abel). Abel corrected his sentence. he will do the 2nd awakening. Usually, the suin needs to return to the village, but Abel planned to do it in the mansion. Maybelle worried about "the painful" part of the awakening, and the hard-to-control-fire is a problem, too. Abell said that he will endure it, because he wanted to grow to protect Maybelle. Khan guaranteed that Abel will grow to a splendid suin after the awakening, and stronger than him. <Maybelle also told her wish to be stronger and protect everyone to Abel> - Maybelle told Abel : don't be sick, because he is a precious friend. Abel approached Maybelle and hold her fingers.... <considering Abel's rotten luck when he tried to get close to Maybelle, usually someone will barge into the room at this moment >

He manages to show his new skill : flirting without fail lol. - Yeah, his jealousy towards Phon is one of his main motivation - He wanted to protect Maybelle, and helps her when she became Rykell's successor. but he wants a different relationship, not like Rykell and Khan. Maybelle became confused, and ask how different. Abel put his index finger on his mouth : it's a secret. Maybelle didn't get the meaning~ - Abel left the room. Scylla & Laura helped Maybelle to get dressed. She chooses one of Renzo's creation. a blue dress. - Everyone praised her clothes. including Rykell, who commented that Maybelle looks good in everything, even if she dressed in rags. But of course, Rykell won't let her wears rags. Von Kyle commented that Rykell's daddy mode is on again, and Raul interjected then bragged about his nephew. Von tried to fight and he boasted about his wife and son, while Rykell still praising Maybelle. <PLEASE I WANT THIS SCENE ADAPTED ASAP!!!> - Meanwhile the 2nd gen also commented about Maybelle's dress. Starting with Raney, then Aslan, but Phon cut him off coldly lol. Abel is also there, too.He brushed his hand?tail? as silent greetings
Spoiler: chap 179 : Parting - The dinner and tea time went perfectly (Raul got exasperated thank to Rykell's stubborness <My Daughter is perfect!>). <entah gimana kok malah jadi arisan bapak-bapak> - Raul & Raney returned to the west, then Vivi bid her farewell five days later. She needs to inform the chief (Abel & Khan's mother) about Abel's decision. Vivi said that the village will held a festival after Abel successfully passed the 2nd awakening. She asked Maybelle to come and play, plus meet with the chief. - Maybelle automatically got interested. She thought that the suin Lady she saw in the portrait was cool. She asked Vivi to pass her request : she wondered if the chief would like to tell her stories about Rykell and Galatea in the past. Vivi complied happily, and told Maybelle that the chief likes to chat with childrens.. Like a certain someone. - A gloomy Khan interjected the conversation. Did he talked too much?. Maybelle and Vivi laughed in a good way. Vivi left the wasteland mansion together with Khan (who accompanied her to the border). - Now it's Aslan and Von Kyle's turn. Yah, Aslan asked Maybelle to take a walk with him. Von and Rykell also had a serious(?) conversation inside the mansion. Aslan commented that Von helped him (by distracting Rykell's attention). Maybelle didn't really get the meaning lol. She didn't mind to grant Aslan's request, However... - Bellerophon. - Phon wanted to join them. Then someone jumped down from the tree. Abel. He has the same request. Maybelle asked if Aslan is okay to go with them. Aslan is a good boy, so he doesn't mind if Maybelle wants it. Four of them walked under the dusk sky. Maybelle thought that the colours of the sky resembled all of them. - Aslan asked Maybelle to walk 3 steps ahead from Phon and Abel. He wanted to gave his farewell personally. Phon and Abel frowned and stared at each other, then backed off without words. Aslan stared at them, amazed.
Spoiler: Chap 180 : Uh oh.... - Aslan and Maybelle reminiscing about the good time they spent in the mansion. They had a picnic in the greenhouse (minus Phon, because he still sleeping). - Aslan's story : actually, he almost had no friends because of his overpowered strength. He spent his time playing sword with adults and the picnic was the rare occassion where he played together with Extraordinary children with special powers like him. - Aslan is grateful that he has the chance to met everyone. All because Maybelle. She is the center of everyone. Aslan asked if Maybelle remembered their promise, to free their father's from te convenant. Maybelle said yes. - Aslan planned to return to the capital. Someone needs to watch the trends and look for informations, and he will do it. He knew that his parents believed in him, and Kyle family always shine brightly in the time of crisis. - Aslan hold and kissed Maybelle's hands, and told her that he will change in the future. Then he said that he really likes Maybelle. Maybelle got confused because at the first time, she thought that the "like" he mean is the same as the one she always heard from Khan and Scylla. But now she felt that Aslan expressed another meaning of "like", something special... - then she heard Phon's voice : I really likes the lady, too. Abel followed soon. Uh oh ..
This is the last chapter of season 2 Spoiler: Chap 181 : Waiting for the Spring - Abel. Abel. Abel. He scared Maybelle so much with his frightening and grumpy expression. Maybelle finally said that she likes everyone, and Abel glared at Aslan : "you see, the lady is a fair person". - Aslan surrendered. He asked Maybelle if she will listen to him the next time they meet. Maybelle gladly said yes. They don't know the exact time to meet again, but they'll have fun when it happens. Aslan & Von left the mansion. - the next day, Phon and Abel started their agenda. Rykell prepared two enchanted rooms for the boys to sleep in. Phon went quietly, while Abel... It was a racket lol. Rykell sent him asleep with a warning. Rykell sealed the room so no one can find it. - The mansion suddenly became very quiet. Even Khan agreed. Maybelle spent her time in the library. She decided that the day both Phon and Abel wakes is the spring (despite whatever the real season might be). Maybelle went to find Rykell. - a megane Rykell sat in his office. The glasses is a special item to determine fake documents and poison. Maybelle shared her thought with Rykell, she is a bit envy because Phon and Abel will be stronger.. - Rykell said that there is a way for Maybelle to be stronger. He actually compiled many notes and references about elf and Galatea in the Cyclamen special room (where he keep Thea's staff). It will be useful to Maybelle. - It is been a long time since the last time Maybelle visit that room, so she is excited. Rykell hold her hand and both of them walked out from the office. - Rykell plans to introduce Maybelle to the other person/creatures who lived in the mansion (remember Khan's explanation that there are some hidden floors, and there are people and other creatures. Maybelle never meet them). Rykell was really sure that they'll like his daughter. - Father and daughter walk to their destination, and Maybelle waits for the spring to come... Btw Rykell no doubt loves Maybelle A LOT that he often looked for her from the hill (when she still stayed with her fake parents), but what I was confused with is why he was really cold and looked like he was unhappy Maybelle came to the mansion the first time (chapter 3)?
He was shocked. He never predicted that Maybelle ran from Cyclamen's main house with her own free will, and she even managed to cross the barrier and mental enchantment without any injury. He even thought that his brother sent a mentally broken Maybelle as a nasty gift at first, but then he realized that his daughter is safe and everyone underestimate her talents. Plus he didn't have a clue how to behave and talk to children , and his icy demeanor was not helping at all lol. Rykell finally explains this matter when Raul pestered him to share his secret (chap 127)
Spoiler: special illustration -Maybelle 13 y.o- Not much happened in chap 182 - 2 years timeskip. Phon & Abel still sleeping. Maybelle wondered what kind of dream they saw.. Actually, it almost 3 years (the current season is winter and new year is approaching) - Maybelle still farming carrots as usual. Now Riri became a big bird with silver feathers and can't perch on Maybelle's shoulder anymore. And yep, there will be a new cover illustration, but the author only gave the taser pic lol.
Thank you for always giving spoilers May I ask something about an old chapter? Do you remember in chapter 32 when Rosickel asked about the things that she likes? The castle-like building scene mentioned in the last, is that their current house or another building in the future? And I'm wondering too why Rosickel depicted the castle with Bellerophon? Is there going to be an important scene regarding them or is that only author's way to dramatize the scene? Pardon for my weird question, but for some reason I feel like there's something more behind it.... Or is it just me?? Spoiler: season 2 cover. i want to see Rykell's face when he see this Even though there's a lot of moments of Abel's effort to get close to Maybelle, looking at this cover I can't help but think the love rivalry is mainly between these two.
Actually, the main component of Rosickel webtoon and novel version is different, the manhwa version is harder to explain because... reasons . The description in the novel matched perfectly with the novel illustration (crescent moon, white flower, pink staff and gem). Let's see the webtoon version... I thought that the shape is more similar to flower petals than crescent moon lol. And it's bulkier (maybe the northern mansion part? There are two towers behind). And the red gem is similar to Phon's earrings. Northern mansion is a precious place for Maybelle, too. But Bellerophon is definitely the main bait for both version lol. Let's see if the author adds more "webtoon only" scene in the future. The appearance of Aslan's mother in chap 34 caused a little backlash (because the novel readers knew that she was nowhere to be seen even in 2nd season). ------ Abel definitely has the worst luck comparing to Phon and Aslan's . but Aslan has many disadvantages, too... Because he has his own missions and rarely meets Maybelle.
Now you said it, I wonder why the author deliberately changed Rosickel's design for the webtoon. Crescent and flower, is this really going to be another "webtoon only" plot? Wait what do you mean by the main bait??? As shipper I need this for scientific reason
Spoiler: Chap 182-183 : Warm winter is the perfect season for the buds to grow, Maybelle!! - Two years have passed since Abel and Phon went to sleep in the mansion. now it is winter season, and when spring arrived, it will be 3 years. The winter season in the wasteland is different from the empire. There is no snow, and the red soil still rocky as ever. The only green fields in the area is the Wasteland mansion and its surroundings. - Maybelle took a walk in the carrot fields, and thought about the 2 years she spent without her precious friends. Suddenly she heard a chirp and saw a glimpse of silver feathers. Ridere appeared and perched on a branch. Maybelle talked to Riri. She told Riri that she needs to grow more so Riri could perched on her shoulders like the old times. Maybelle then heard another sound... From the carrots she planted together with Florence sisters . somehow Maybelle's magic influenced the plants and they will "sing" when they are ready to be harvested. Maybelle prayed that they'll grow big lol. <Ridere didn't "grow" like Ig or Lasol because it was born from Bellerophon's magic power. Its current form is a result of "transformation" from the influence of magic power. Maybelle wondered if Riri will changed its form again. At first Riri has black feathers, and now it turned to silver, similar to Phon's hair> - Back to the mansion. Maybelle entered Rykell's office, but Rykell already gone. Maybelle saw the documents on the table, and it piqued her curiousity. It was a report about the latest news from the empire. Maybelle didn't really read the report because it was labeled as confidential (she still has her conscience lol.but she knew that Rykell won't scold her even if she read all of it). - Maybelle became sleepy, and when she dozed off she heard a faint voice calling for her name. A familiar and nostalgic voice, plus she felt someone's power upstairs. Unfortunately, the voice and power dissapeared before she manages to determine the source (it could be Abel's aura or Bellerophon's magic power). - When she fully awakes, Rykell already returned to the office. His hair is longer than 2 years ago, but his face didn't change. Father and daughter discussed about the aging for the mages. Rykell explained that beside mages, suin people also had the same characteristic. They will grow to their adult form faster than humans after the 2nd awakening, and will retain the same looks until they reached middle age (Khan's face doesn't change, too). Maybelle thought about her own body. She still smaller than her peers, but her wish to grow never changed. - Speaking about growing, Maybelle remembered the faint voice and power. She asked Rykell about it. Rykell felt it, too..but he couldn't determine the source. Maybelle felt dissapointed, but Rykell assured her : it was a sign that the awkening day will come soon. Maybelle was overjoyed, but Rykell expression became grumpy. He muttered : Rykell : I don't like it. Maybelle : what? Rykell : no. Nothing. <Rykell spent 2 years living peacefully with his daughter. He added more parenting books to his collections, taking notes and marking the important words. Maybelle saw books about how to be a good father (latest edition), a handbook about the development of children's reproductive organs, I'm living happily with my daughter, and so on. His peaceful days will be over when "those two" return , Abel will be around 15-16 y.o while Phon 17-18 y.o> - Khan entered the office. He brought a green envelope letter (from Vivi). Maybelle couldn't hid her happiness and snatched the letter. Vivi usually came to play, but currently she is busy taking missions from the tribe. Vivi and Aslan sent letters to Maybelle regularly, and Raney occasionally sent a letter from the sacred lake. (Raul helped him). - Khan commented that Maybelle's habit is similar to Rykell.
