first, create a group name https://www.novelupdates.com/add-group/ then, creates a novel page https://www.novelupdates.com/add-series/ fill in the info. if possible, please make sure at one of these two were filled : Associated Names (raw, original name) and Author p.s : you can use any novels currently on NU as guide on how and what to fill. for example, this one. finally, use this form to submit the links for the chapters https://www.novelupdates.com/add-release/ you can submit chapter by chapter, or entire volume in one go. ( refer to example novel below) https://www.novelupdates.com/series/to-rule-in-a-turbulent-world/ they put several chapter into one docs, but they also put links to respective pages/chapters in it. afterward, each chapter can be submitted as single chapter, while still sharing the same doc, thanks to the links from the first page/toc https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hKJ2Gcsg_RiaSjyPaf0pTE05j1GbkjogIOZMYZ2e7Zc/edit
Hello, sorry to bother you again I'd like to know how to link my site to the group Polinsesi BL Novels. Here is the RSS of my site: https://polinsesi-bl-novels.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default or maybe this one http://feeds.feedburner.com/polinsesiblnovels The announcements are under the category "Announcements". Thanks for your help. :3
I don't get your question? Your site seems already listed under the "URL" section of Polinsesi BL Novels.
It's not supposed to redirect... I've already removed those annoying popups... I'll try to see what's happening... :'))
if you mean this post https://polinsesi-bl-novels.blogspot.com/2020/04/angel-bl-first-chapter-announcement.html it has already been picked up, but the bot sent it to the chapter queue (possibly because it saw "Angel [BL]" first), so it was removed. use only 1 category/tag. you can add as much tag as you want after the bot pick it up. if you put the tag you use for chapters, it could be sent to the queue for chapter approving instead and got rejected. therefore, the safest bet is to use only 1 category/tag. either Announcement or News. the bot also reads the title as fallback if it fails to recognize the category, so if you did not tag the post, but has 'recognizable' title, it'll still get sent to the queue (or worse, gets auto-added to the wrong series)
What would happen if the rss feed thing is not on our website, and if we don't tag anything? would it have to be manually approved? and how long would it usually take, if I'm using a website like wix?
it takes a few minutes, to several hours, depending on availability of mods in your case o the other hand, it keeps showing me this Spoiler {} if i click on the black button, it brings me to the main site. if i click on the big X, it just shows me a blank white box, with a word "reload" on it. after trying for a couple of minutes to no avail, i reject the submission.
hmm, thats weird, because its working just fine for me. could you try again on this link here? https://euphoriatranslations.wixsite.com/home/chapter-7 yes, the black button goes back to the home page, I am working to remove that, but the x option should make the chapter show? or are you viewing something else, not the chapter? a link to the home pager here: https://euphoriatranslations.wixsite.com/home
I saw it, is this still not working for you? because it really is working just fine to me, and I've asked a friend to see it too
Here is how this link is displaying for me on Firefox Mobile (Samsung J7): https://euphoriatranslations.wixsite.com/home/chapter-7 So uhn... It worked on my end! >.< (it did take a while to load though)
Ohh, thank you for telling me! I've changed a few things so it should be better. QUESTION: Do I have to go and do 'Add Release' every time I get a chapter done?
You shouldn't need to. NU has bots that fetches releases through RSS Feeds and E-mail. I don't know if your platform has built-in RSS Feeds to help NU Bots fetch the release though... So... Try making a chapter and waiting an hour or so to see if it is automatically displayed. If it is not, you'll probably need to add it yourself.
I'm too lazy to scroll and read through the entire thread, so I will just ask like this. If you continue translating an already existing project that wasn't updated in a long time, but you are not a group (only one person) and upload the chapters on Wattpad, what do you need to do to get them linked? (In case it wasn't clear, the project wasn't originally mine and I just wanted to continue it because it seemed interesting.)
Go to your NU Profile and Click "Add Release", then fill in the necessary information. If you don't have a group yet, create a group first. (A group can consist of only one person, most are like that actually)
