I tried to design the tournament so that time zones don’t matter. Of course, when you schedule your matches with your opponent they will, but part of the reason for the long time frames in the rules and for the times frames to be measured in days, not dates, is to accommodate people having different schedules.
Sign me up!~ And also, I can imagine a few ways to make the games ve for more players; Like... A point system; counting numbers on cards (of when the first wins) would probably not work out, dunno if there's a mechanic for it, but something like 3 points for first, 2 points for second, 1 point for third, 0 points for 4th... though, thid would require each game being the same size. Then you could cut off either at a certain amount of points, or drop the bottom [Number] Percentage, either in general or in each if the games... the latter would probably be better
I actually did consider something similar. But when I went to look up what actual official UNO tournaments do, it seemed like the consensus was to play 1v1. (Granted, I didn’t look for very long, so I could be wrong.) If people really wanted to play this way instead of 1v1, I’d consider it.
Mhm; 1v1 is probably easier to gauge skill and such with, making for a more accurate ranking in a tournament But if we just want to have fun... *shrugs*
THIS IS THE GAME I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR!!!!!!!! AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!! I WANNA JOIN BUT I CAN'T!!!!!!!! MY MOBILE DATA CAN'T HANDLE THE SITE!!!!!!!!! WHY????!!!!! WHY DO YOU HAVE TO LET ME KNOW ABOUT THIS @felidormit???? YOU HAVE BROUGHT ME AGONY!!!!!!!!! NNNNOOOOOOO!!!!!!
I only have a couple of MB for my internet. I'm afraid I will disappear in the middle of the game and wouldn't even be able to finish one game
Oops! Sorry, guys! I’ll start setting things up for the tournament right away! Let me just eat some lunch first...
Bracket is out! (See first post after original post.) With the amount of people signed up, the random bracket generators insisted that two people had to be left out until Round 2. (I tried several different generators to see if I could get different results, but the math is apparently two off.) While you're waiting, feel free to play with me or each other. Stay tuned while I set up the conversations and let you know who is host. Round One Timer: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/party?iso=20200614T13&p0=98&msg=Round+One+End&font=cursive At the end of the tournament, let's all play a few games together! @felidormit @DragonMage18 @Blitz @Evil_Ginger @Darkcrow. @Milanin @Novela @SialJoans @thisworldofmine1 @aceclover95 @Fossil @LNOnlineOtaku @Lurking @Tilgarial
Blitz is ready to bring down anyone who makes it to round 2 On a side note, it might have been easier for all 14 players to play in the first round and give a random player a bye for the second round
