    Well, i do agree that sometimes manhwas have better plot.
    But I get dizzy with all the names, to the point that i forget the protagonist's name

    My opinion in general :

    Manhua CN :
    Plots : mostly CEO rape fl and her half sister plot her murder .
    They are some exception like beauty game .
    Haven't read many historical themed ones but as far as I did I gave them 10/10 like Yi Chui wu yue tiao man ji and princess in the prince harem .
    Art : almost the same low artist in all of them , exceptions are many as well .

    Manhwa KR :
    Plot : half focus on isekai , yet many can't be called boring .
    Art : the art of manhwa combine between the manga drawing skills and digital art making it irresistible for all types of readers .

    Weebtons ( any other than CN KR ) :
    Some have good plots , but even those who are good at drawing they don't put much of effort in there work .
    But these troupe got many people with unique drawing styles ( and fun additions sometimes ) giving them a credit for many masterpieces .

    Manga JP : well I can't find anything to say in this one since they are the best .

    art for manhua sometimes dont look good at all.
    the artists style does not fit the story.
    they may be drawing a child, but it just looks like a chibii of an adult

    Wait, as in the art of a manhua is greater than a manhwa, which is greater than a manga?

    I don't like how most manhuas change their artist/art-style mid-way of the story like be consistent ffs.

    The real reason manhwas are better is most manhuas feel like they were done by someone with attention deficit disorder. There is no scene transitions, just time skips

    Manhua = Chinese comic
    Manhwa = Korean comic
    Manga = Japanese comic

    Webcomics are usually in color and while most of the ones I see are Korean, there are also a lot of Chinese ones and some Japanese ones.

    Gonna throw in my two cents because it's fun and nobody will read it!

    I find Chinese manhua to be lacking, mostly because majority of them start with terrible story to begin with. We all read enough Chinese WN to know that most folks start WN because they want to make a quick buck and they have a fantasy they want to fulfill. It takes time to create a good, solid story and it takes even more time for a culture regarding storytelling to be developed. This is why Japan has a stronger storytelling industry because they spent more time at it. Korea has been influenced by Japan for a long time so they probably has the same style of culture regarding storytelling and therefore, can tell better stories.

    China is experiencing both an economic boom and a cultural boom right now. However, before the boom occurred, their culture of storytelling fell off a cliff during the Maoist cultural revolution. By the time the boom happened and people finally have time and leisure to both consume and generate new stories, they've lost all of their culture of good storytelling and basically had to start over. Think about it, even their fantasy stories are heavily based off old wuxia stories. It's the equivalent of us writing a story loosely based off LOTR except that instead of Gandalf the Grey, it's Gandoof the SUPER GRAY and after they defeated Sauron here comes Sauron's older brother Big-Sauron. We've gone through that growing pain, China hasn't.

    Lots of WN involves regular guy transmigrating into fantasy world and then live awesome lives. Now imagine that situation but multiply it by 100. That's the amount of people in China who wants to be artists and story tellers who found out that if they kill themselves writing stories by volume and draw those stories by volume they can start making money and live their dream.

    Basically, there are some good Chinese Manhuas and WN around, but the culture around both the art and the storytelling need time to develop. Eventually a culture will be established for people to start telling stories well. I imagine that in another 10 years or so you will see lots of fantastic stuff coming out of China.

    I haven't read many manhuas, but from what I've seen they were all based on novels.
    And once I started reading the novels, there was nothing to come back to - manhuas are quite frankly poor versions of what's portrayed in the novels.
    Sometimes, even if I liked the artwork, it'd change to something worse over time.
    So yeah, I'd rather binge read a novel and have the ultimate artwork created by my imagination.

    IDK, if there are manhwas based on novels, since most of what I read were originals (I think), but even if there are, I'd guess they are a fraction of what's out there.

    The main question is why the heck they can create good C-novels but it goes down the drain for manhua??? Or does the good ones not translated or what?
