I don't think either the Duke or Reynold thought she'd do it to get attention. They both understand how she has been treated up until this point with Reynold often reflecting on previous conversations were she says she's sick of everything or how awful he has made her feel. I personally think they know if she drank poison, it was probably to die.

I really love all the spoilers in this thread and really thank you so much for everyone @adyaa @Upsadaisy @yaywww @Elyriona who has been kindly sharing these amazing spoilers in orderly and detailed manner that could immerse us in the novel world and feel their emotions as well

I really like this novel and their emotions. The novel kind of teach us that love could come in many possible way and expression and not all of them could be acceptable. Eclise's over possessiveness and dominating love, Derrick's unexpressed feelings and jealousy, Reynold's immature yet sincere feelings, Vinter's indecisiveness and also the Eckart Duke complicated feelings as a father that want to love and dote a daughter but neglect her circumstances. Finally Callisto's growth to understand love is so heartwarming when he finally realized how important Penelope is to him. The poisoning incident is heart-wrenching because while they speculate bad things about Penelope being the jealous adopted daughter, they don't even realize and consider that Penelope's misery that lead to her suicidal move. Seriously, if Penelope is not bound by the systems, she could really abandon that wretch duke estate and find her own happiness. Arghh my heart is aching for Penelope and really, only Callisto could understand her and they are really fated to be together as only they could understand each other pains.

As for me I see that many of people want me to continue to post spoilers. So I have decided to keep posting translated parts of novel not spoilers. As there are people who are already posting spoilers it would be more reasonable for me to post translated novel itself.

I had already mentioned in last post that that spoiler was fully translated part of novel. So I decided to continue it. I know that there are people on Wattpad who are already translating this novel. But they are too slow (in my opinion). In Ridibooks novel there are 21 chapters (the main story) which are divided on 4 volumes. And they have translated 5 chapters + a beginning of 6th chapter. I am currently translating 10th chapter.

What do you think about it? Should I post translated novel or not? After all this forum is for spoilers not for translation. Of course I can also post my translation on Wattpad. But there are some problems. First of all I don’t know Korean so I use MTL, that’s why my translation may be not fully accurate. Secondly English isn’t my first language and I doubt that it can be even called “average” (although some people call it “perfect” ). Thirdly I don’t know how to divide this novel because I don’t have access to Kakaopage. One translated chapter of Ridibooks is quite large. You can compare them: 21 chapters of Ridibooks VS 231 (!!!) chapters of Kakaopage (and it includes only main story).

Ah, it is really so frustrating, I myself more prefer to post my translation here because I don’t need to be too perfect Would it be alright if I will continue to post it here?

So did they know that Penelope deliberately drink the poison on purposely? How does Callisto felt about that fact that Penelope want to kill herself?

After rereading timeline summary #4, you're right! Reynold and duke especially don't/can't even consider the fact this is OGPenelope's way of attracting attention and I know you've already done your fair share of translating/summarizing, but unless future timeline summaries dictate them both realizing or someone telling them both straight Penelope intended to die, then I won't hold my hopes up. But props to Reynold though, 3 out of 5 capture targets are still salvageable (I know Derick is just someone heavily brainwashed/manipulated via heavy guilt tripping since this ALL started with his fault but really, I'm beyond pissed at his self justification and still using the Eckart name/title when someone's life is hanging in the balance this time or at least compared to the trial, Penelope this time was soooo close to death. Again, while he IS brainwashed/manipulated, he just had to be firm ONCE, just for Penelope's day about herself)

Is this literally Callisto's first time witness experience on the "Eckart blames Penelope scenario"? Because, this is honestly the one time I wanted to know his POV not directly related to Penelope but what he thinks to the Eckart household. I mean, his earlier POV with comatose/poisoned Penelope finally has him understand WHY during his own poisoning, Penelope's visits would mostly be about her BEGGING him not to die. He finally understands WHY THIS was her specific reaction after being put in a similar situation. I definitely enjoyed his roast to the Eckart men and all but I'm also desiring for his POV finally seeing an actual glimpse of Penelope's suffering in the household

This is just my thought realized after reading the spoilers, so maybe it's not so right. Anyway, from what I understood so far, I believe Callisto was already aware of the treatment Penelope received from her family. But I believe he didn't know it was on this level. Callisto knew that the Eckart didn't investigate on the reason why Penelope was banned from the hunting competition (he in fact tells her to explain it to the duke), so he probably had some idea on what she was going through with the Eckarts. However, as we know, Penelope isn't the tipe who would complain about it to another person, she never told Callisto about her situation, didn't explain on detail what was going on, so I guess the prince thought it was something that happened once, or that it didn't bother her so much, or that it didn't go to such an extreme situation. He was aware they weren't kind to her, but never really understood completly until he witnessed with his own eyes the "put all the blame on Penny" scenary. When he asked if this was something that they often do towards her, perhaps he also wanted to confirm this doubt for himself. He may have thought "I knew she wasn't comfortable in this house, but maybe her situation was much more harsh then I thought". And that's likely also the reason why he snaps and threaten the Eckart family. Because now he fully understand what she's been going through for her entire life, and the reason why she refused his proposal: she can't accept him if he doesn't guarantee she will never go back to the Eckart house, if he doesn't love her and, in some sort of form, realize with her the family she never had.

Lmao Derrick is such a trash. He keeps on blaming Penelope for everything. Did he forget that without Vinter and his antidote Penelope would have DIED? A self made drama? What's the point of attention if you're dead lol. Man he's so twisted in his own feelings no wonder he get manipulated the easiest.

2. The doctor announces that the poison is completely gone and it's really a miracle. Penelope thinks it's because of the system dream she had and secretly sighs. Derick notices she's awake again and asks was there something she didn't like but Penelope is confused because she thought he'd enjoy seeing her like this but he's strangely anxious. But then he tries to ask again what happened which leads to an argument with Reynold who tells him Penelope has just woken up. Derick wants to address the issue quickly so squash any further rumors. Penelope tells them that they must have been told she needs to recover and asks them all to leave as she's tired. Derick and Reynold didn't want to but the Duke pulled them out of the room.

3. Emily arrives and gives her an update. She's been unconscious for 1 week, Becky is dead, Yvonne confined to her room, and how Callisto stayed by her side. Penelope recalls hearing him telling her he'd give her whatever she wants whether it's leaving this place or love. She mentions the proposal too and that the rumors from the hunting competition were clearly true. She also tells her he had to go north to fight the rebellion. But then it turns to her telling her the rumors circulating around the house is that she drank the poison herself to gain attention. Penelope reckons its fine. Emily then comments that she thought the poison she got was for Yvonne but Penelope tells her not to say such a villainous remark. Emily calls Yvonne the real villain and says she knows the poison she got for Penelope and the poison Penelope drank were different. Emily assures her she hasn't told anyone with Penelope warning her not to if she wants to live. But she's worried about the rumor going around about Penelope but Penelope says she'll handle it herself.

4. Penelope is called to the office where Derick, Reynold, Yvonne, Vinter and the duke are waiting. They ask both of them whether they remember what happened. Yvonne cries saying she seen her vomiting blood and asks her why she'd do such a scary thing which causes Penelope to laugh and Derick eyes become fierce. The duke then tells them that he can't rule of Callisto's suggestion that this was Yvonne's plot which Penelope stopped which shocks Penelope despite meeting Yvonne, Callisto had kept his sense of reason. Yvonne denies it saying she was only there because Derick took her which he agrees making Penelope laugh more because she believes him to be an idiot who was brainwashed. Yvonne continues saying Emily had often met with Becky so she knew Becky was Penelope's person sent to watch her. Penelope thinks she's scary and thinks that this was why she had asked Emily only to report suspicious activities and nothing else. When the Duke points out the head butler assigned her maid but Yvonne says that he is also close to Penelope and if she was really the culprit then why would Penelope drink it. Penelope knew this was how the events would play out after what she had done and watches Yvonne drink her tea when a shiver runs down her spine as she realizes Yvonne has no reflection in the water. Derek asks her why she drank it if she knew it was poisoned. He then explains that Vinter had told them about the properties of the necklace she wore and she notices that Vinter is staring at her as intensely as Derick. Derick continues saying Becky also accused her before dying. Derick ignores the Duke's cry to stop and asks her again why she drank it even though she knew it was poisoned - what did she want?

Vinter then interjects desperately trying to defend her saying that doesn't make sense as he wonders why the maid put it into the cup then so Penelope tries to come up with an excuse saying she got up late and forgot to do it herself. The duke is furious and slam his arm down on the arm rest. Penelope apologizes for the sins she has caused and says there's only one way to resolve it which is letting her leave. After all that's why they invited her here, to admit her sins. The Duke denies it saying they were trying to investigate whether someone was aiming for their lives but Penelope tells them it was her fault, there's no need to investigate it further and she'll take responsibility. But Derick who has been looking at her like he wants to kill her, eyes go bloodshot and he tells her he won't let her. She tells him as always it's neat and tidy to tie it up as her fault so she'll leave. But he begins to yell now asking where she's going and saying she'd need to cover up the rumors and think of her reputation. At this point he's covered in sweat like a man whose been chased but he realizes how excited he's gotten and tries to calm down telling her there's a limit to what their family can do to protect her. She asks him since when did he care about her reputation. The duke interrupts and Derick is right and to calm down as even if she did it no one is trying to blame her but he's talking to her is a soothing tone one would use when talking to a small child. Penelope notices Yvonne has stopped crying and is looking at Derick with a strange look (I think Yvonne's realized the brainwashing isn't working on him). Reynold then pipes in saying she said she didn't want to lose her position so why is she now trying to leave the house. She decides to repeat the words she said to him before and tells them that she's sick of everything. She's sick of her treatment and being in this house so now that Yvonne is back can they let her go. The Duke tries to say she's being unreasonable then changes direction and tells her no matter what anyone says she is still his daughter. She then tries to leave saying she's sick but Derick tries to stop her again but the Duke tells him to stop, she's sick.

He tells Derick there's nothing coming out every time he opens his mouth so be careful as she could drink poison again and then what would he do. He then warns again that she could pack her bags and run away so watch his mouth and don't irritate her. Reading this really made me feel more disgusted towards Derrick. Just...leave her alone, can't you?I hope Callisto was there to defend her and see how terrible Eckarts treat her

i forgot the link where i read this .. but the hidden antagonist is Yvonne.. she's a member of a cult who worship a bad dark goddess andseh had a mission to bringthe goddess to their world which will make killed a lot people... and Penelope is a great mage who tries to warn the king, and the capture targe tbut that goddess has cursed penelope so everybody will think of penelope as a very vicious villainess... because of the curse the capture target were brainwashed so they never really hear the warning until it was too late the goddess almost destroy the world and penelope the mage is dead...but vinter woke up from the brainwashed state of loving yvonne, and he really regret helping yvonne, so vinter used some elaborate magic to turn back time and by that try to salvage penelope's soul, which end up making penelope's soul transmigrated and born in modern day korea... but the curse were branded on her soul so her half brother hates her, and her biological father neglect her and no matter where she's born people will be wary of penelope... feel free to correct me.. oh i need to add that eclipse symbol is black rose which describe as obsession not love... to the point he betray penelope because he was the one who brought back the antagonist home in this timeline so penelope will lose her status and position in eckart and can only rely on him .. i always know the more obedient eclipse the more suspicious he is.. turns out he is the small hidden antagonist... but he try to atone by protecting penelope when the goddess' pet a gold dragon attacking penelope.. he died...

2. The doctor announces that the poison is completely gone and it's really a miracle. Penelope thinks it's because of the system dream she had and secretly sighs. Derick notices she's awake again and asks was there something she didn't like but Penelope is confused because she thought he'd enjoy seeing her like this but he's strangely anxious. But then he tries to ask again what happened which leads to an argument with Reynold who tells him Penelope has just woken up. Derick wants to address the issue quickly so squash any further rumors. Penelope tells them that they must have been told she needs to recover and asks them all to leave as she's tired. Derick and Reynold didn't want to but the Duke pulled them out of the room.

3. Emily arrives and gives her an update. She's been unconscious for 1 week, Becky is dead, Yvonne confined to her room, and how Callisto stayed by her side. Penelope recalls hearing him telling her he'd give her whatever she wants whether it's leaving this place or love. She mentions the proposal too and that the rumors from the hunting competition were clearly true. She also tells her he had to go north to fight the rebellion. But then it turns to her telling her the rumors circulating around the house is that she drank the poison herself to gain attention. Penelope reckons its fine. Emily then comments that she thought the poison she got was for Yvonne but Penelope tells her not to say such a villainous remark. Emily calls Yvonne the real villain and says she knows the poison she got for Penelope and the poison Penelope drank were different. Emily assures her she hasn't told anyone with Penelope warning her not to if she wants to live. But she's worried about the rumor going around about Penelope but Penelope says she'll handle it herself.

4. Penelope is called to the office where Derick, Reynold, Yvonne, Vinter and the duke are waiting. They ask both of them whether they remember what happened. Yvonne cries saying she seen her vomiting blood and asks her why she'd do such a scary thing which causes Penelope to laugh and Derick eyes become fierce. The duke then tells them that he can't rule of Callisto's suggestion that this was Yvonne's plot which Penelope stopped which shocks Penelope despite meeting Yvonne, Callisto had kept his sense of reason. Yvonne denies it saying she was only there because Derick took her which he agrees making Penelope laugh more because she believes him to be an idiot who was brainwashed. Yvonne continues saying Emily had often met with Becky so she knew Becky was Penelope's person sent to watch her. Penelope thinks she's scary and thinks that this was why she had asked Emily only to report suspicious activities and nothing else. When the Duke points out the head butler assigned her maid but Yvonne says that he is also close to Penelope and if she was really the culprit then why would Penelope drink it. Penelope knew this was how the events would play out after what she had done and watches Yvonne drink her tea when a shiver runs down her spine as she realizes Yvonne has no reflection in the water. Derek asks her why she drank it if she knew it was poisoned. He then explains that Vinter had told them about the properties of the necklace she wore and she notices that Vinter is staring at her as intensely as Derick. Derick continues saying Becky also accused her before dying. Derick ignores the Duke's cry to stop and asks her again why she drank it even though she knew it was poisoned - what did she want?

5. Penelope then says that the answer was already in the question. She said she did it herself and watches Yvonne's face change in embarrassment. She didn't trust Emily and she knew Becky's weakness so she got her to get it for her. When the Duke asks her why she tells him to give Yvonne back the attention and she didn't want to take her place as the daughter. Derick asks did she really try to kill herself? Penelope thinks that he's been the one pushing this narrative but the loss of color from his face and his out of focus gaze made him look like someone who had heard unexpected news. She says that she thought she'd be happy to die. But when he asks why there's other ways to get attention, she asks him whether you need a huge reason to drink poison. Vinter then interjects desperately trying to defend her saying that doesn't make sense as he wonders why the maid put it into the cup then so Penelope tries to come up with an excuse saying she got up late and forgot to do it herself. The duke is furious and slam his arm down on the arm rest. Penelope apologizes for the sins she has caused and says there's only one way to resolve it which is letting her leave. After all that's why they invited her here, to admit her sins. The Duke denies it saying they were trying to investigate whether someone was aiming for their lives but Penelope tells them it was her fault, there's no need to investigate it further and she'll take responsibility. But Derick who has been looking at her like he wants to kill her, eyes go bloodshot and he tells her he won't let her. She tells him as always it's neat and tidy to tie it up as her fault so she'll leave. But he begins to yell now asking where she's going and saying she'd need to cover up the rumors and think of her reputation. At this point he's covered in sweat like a man whose been chased but he realizes how excited he's gotten and tries to calm down telling her there's a limit to what their family can do to protect her. She asks him since when did he care about her reputation. The duke interrupts and Derick is right and to calm down as even if she did it no one is trying to blame her but he's talking to her is a soothing tone one would use when talking to a small child. Penelope notices Yvonne has stopped crying and is looking at Derick with a strange look (I think Yvonne's realized the brainwashing isn't working on him). Reynold then pipes in saying she said she didn't want to lose her position so why is she now trying to leave the house. She decides to repeat the words she said to him before and tells them that she's sick of everything. She's sick of her treatment and being in this house so now that Yvonne is back can they let her go. The Duke tries to say she's being unreasonable then changes direction and tells her no matter what anyone says she is still his daughter. She then tries to leave saying she's sick but Derick tries to stop her again but the Duke tells him to stop, she's sick.

6. After Penelope leaves the Duke orders Reynold to cover this up for awhile. Derick asks how can they ignore this when she said it was her own plot. The duke says that until her health recovers the investigation stops. But Derick continues saying that they still haven't investigated something and says Yvonne's room hasn't been searched. He then continues saying it was still possible that an outside force had bought the maid. Reynold cuts in asking if he thinks he's incapable of investigating as both he and Vinter had looked into it with no results. He tells Derick he doesn't have the power to investigate it so watch his mouth and don't anger her further. Derick says that nothing has been solved yet but Reynold cuts him off yelling that Penelope doesn't want it. He tells Derick there's nothing coming out every time he opens his mouth so be careful as she could drink poison again and then what would he do. He thinks back to their previous conversations were she described the necklace incident, being tired, and how miserable he made her feel. He then warns again that she could pack her bags and run away so watch his mouth and don't irritate her. Yvonne then chirps in saying they could search her room if they wanted but Reynold tells her to shut up She made a terrified noise but Derick didn't help her. Vinter then excuses himself and chases after Penelope.

Just as a note as I don't think I included it in my summary of the ceremony, Derick's gauge bar has always been orange but when he arrived in with Yvonne it was yellow. I don't think this is because his favorability dropped for her but the color yellow in rose terms is a symbol of jealousy and Derick has been incredibly jealous of her interactions with both Callisto and Vinter. Out of all of the characters, Derick to me appears to be the most emotional but he's just unable to express it.

1. Derick POV: Derick watches as Penelope flawlessy brushes off Yvonne's sudden appearance. The way she handles it being classy elegant so much so her nickname of being "Eckart's crazy dog" didn't suit her. Then as she toasts to the main character time seemed to freeze as she drank the wine..

2. Vinter POV: Everyone's eyes on him made Vinter's hands tremble as he gives her the antidote. When he brought the antidote he didn't think he'd be using it like this. Vinter thinks he should have refused the request in regret but when the maid had told him that if he refused she would call back her debt, he knew he couldn't. His sin for suspecting and testing her of being a member of Layla, and then deceiving her on something his emotions couldn't beat. He think that he has been constantly torn between reason and impulse since she told him not to contact her. He wanted to apologize to her and when her maid contacted him he was relieved and worried rather than disappointed. He knew it was an ungodly thought far beyond the beliefs that he held but he still made the poison. But he never thought she'd use it on herself. But even still the poison he gave her shouldn't have made her fall.. But she still knew it was poisoned because of the necklace so why did she drink it with such a look? His stomach is a mess but he decides that now is not the time to peacefully think about it and opens the antidote vial. He asks Callisto to show him her face which he does reluctantly. Seeing her bloody face Vinter closes his eyes for a second before proceeding to give her the antidote. As color returns to her face the doctors arrive.

3. Derick POV: Everyone sighs in relief except Derick. Then the duke slaps him across the check demanding to know what he was trying to do in front of everyone including the royal family. Derick says this wouldn't have happened if Penelope hadn't delayed the announcement of Yvonne's return. The duke tries to hit again but stops saying that it was his will not Penelope's to delay the announcement. After all, it was a once in a lifetime ceremony but even this morning she had wanted to cancel the ceremony because of Yvonne's return. He comments that he didn't realize Derick hated Penelope this much. Derick apologizes as he realized he did something horrible to them all but he never hated her. He says the Eckart reputation would be ruined if it was discovered they tried to hide Yvonne's return because of Penelope's ceremony. The duke tells him enough as the ceremony had become a poisoning incident.

4. Derick can only remember the events in pieces but couldn't understand why he was doing this as he palms began to sweat. He can't believe it was poisoning and only Vinter seemed to be convinced it was. But the Duke says his doctor confirmed it. Derick's palms are now slick as he wonders who would dare poison an Eckart. The Duke tells him Yvonne's maid Becky was put in the dungeon and Yvonne locked in her room as Becky was the one who served the poisoned cup and Emily had testified that she seen her go to the black market area (?). But Derick can't believe it or that Penelope was the target. It could have been meant for him or the duke or it could have been Marquis Ellen who was behind it so he tries to leave to interrogate the maid but the duke stops him telling him not to get involved and he'll handle it. Derick wonders if he's now a suspect because he brought Yvonne but the Duke denies it. Derick tries to insist he helps as it'll be too much work for Reynold and the butler to handle but the Duke tells him Vinter is helping. Derick laughs saying isn't he the most likely suspect as he knew it was poison but the Duke cuts across him telling him if it wasn't for Vinter, he would be arranging a funeral. The Duke is furious at himself also because he didn't suspect poison either and just stood frozen and it was him who selfishly pushed the ceremony. He then tells Derick that it was a slow acting poison that if the antidote was given would cause the poison to continue to bleed until they died. Vinter saved Penelope from dying. The reality seems to hit Derick that Penelope was dying.

5. Derick then remembers a dream were it was Yvonne dying from poisoning at the ceremony. His back is now cold with sweat but he says that if it's Penelope she would poison herself to which the duke tells him in amazement to just go to bed. When Derick leaves the head maid rushes to him asking him to go see Yvonne and as he decides to him body won't move. The anxiety that he felt building in the dukes office is now all over. He tells her later and she tries to tell him Yvonne's not eating but he insists later.

6. Derick remembers the events of earlier that day where Yvonne had come to his room to find him and he thinks she's being neglected because of Penelope's ceremony. He himself had been hiding in his room. Yvonne says it's fine and she wished her memories could have come back sooner so she and her brothers and sister could have watched the fireworks at the festival. Derick remembers how it was at this festival that he had lost Yvonne when they were younger and how desperately reached out to the small hand as it got further away crying. This convinced Derick she's his sister. Derick then says he'll take her to the ceremony because all her immediate family are there. But as he says this he wonders how Penelope will reach. Will she be angry and evil, will she show no expression or will she forgive him like she did with the scarf and give him that beautiful smile. He was surprised by the thought as he realized that he had walked to Penelope's floor.

7. The butler is alarmed by Derick's appearance and becomes embarrassed when Derick says he wants to go in for a moment. When he tries he overhears another mans voice. Callisto is in with the doctor who is informing of her current condition but saying it's unclear when she'll wake up. Callisto collapses into the chair beside her bed and brings her hand to his mouth. Derick stops breathing as he hears Callisto tell Penelope that he knows she's far from the evil woman without blood or tears people make her out to be but every time he says that to her, the look she had was so beautiful so he kept doing it. He begs her not to die and leave him alone in this hell. Derick's ears are screaming as he walks away. He wanted to see how she'd but he didn't want this.

8. The Duke, Derick, Reynold, Vinter and Callisto gathered in the office. Reynold found the antidote for the poison in the maid's bedroom but says the maid claims Penelope ordered her to give it to Yvonne. Callisto demands to know whether he's saying she took the wrong poison. Vinter pipes in saying that the cups were similar. But Penelope wasn't the culprit because she knew the cup was poisoned. The duke demands to know how he knew that a well as how she was poisoned. Under pressure Vinter says the necklace she was wearing was an artifact that changed color in response to poison and he seen it glow as she lifted the cup. He says its likely that she seen it changed as its a color that can be seen at a distance. Callisto ran his hands through his hair exclaiming, the duke hands were shaking and Reynold looked like his soul left him. Only Derick looked expressionless. Callisto then asks how he knows so much about the artifacts. Vinter says he had one before in previous countries were he worked. Callisto says he really does have everything from antidotes to rare artifacts from foreign countries Vinter says it's a coincidence that Penelope has the same. He then says that it's clear the maid's testimony is false. Reynold then suggests that maybe it was Yvonne who did it, there's no guarantee she's regained her memories and she could be trying to get rid of the adoptee. Derick points out that she wasn't even meant to go to Penelope's ceremony and if it wasn't for him how we should know where to go? Callisto then pointed out that Penelope also didn't know she was going to attend and maybe a fairy maid predicted he would bring her. Then the duke suggests maybe she did it to herself. Callisto asks for the reason of that and Derick says she often tried to get attention this way. But the duke and Reynold say they don't believe she'd do it.the Dericks says Penelope doesn't like Yvonne and the servants says she often comes back crying after meeting which leads to an argument between Derick and Reynold until the duke tells them to shut up. Then Callisto that her creating her own drama is very easy to say but it's odd that on a once in a lifetime day for herself, she decides to drink poison. He asks whether they've ever tried to solve a problem relating to her and investigate it without blaming everything on her and quickly finished it - the Eckart solution. He then calls them disappointing. The duke then tries to tell him it's a family affair that doesn't concern them but he tells her that they were promised to be engaged and that he intended to put in the official letter after the ceremony. So if she dies, it's no longer going to be a household chore. Vinter then pipes up saying he doesn't believe it was a self made drama either.

9.The butler then enters saying the maid has been found dead in the cell. The prince then asks who she was, what she did, where did she get the poison. The duke admits she was Yvonne's maid to which Callisto tells him she better be involved in the investigation. When they try to object Callisto asks whether he's decided to be a parent. Derick then points out that Vinter said she knew the wine was poisoned. Callisto then asked Vinter why he thought Penelope didn't do it. Vinter struggled but then pointed out that Penelope already had her own personal maid so why use the other woman. But Derick refutes that why then was the antidote found and why did she drink the wine knowingly. So the prince suggests doing the investigation in small steps. Who poisoned the princess? Was it a self made drama? or did Penelope notice someone else's plot and tried to stop them. He warns them to investigate everything otherwise he will intervene directly instead of being a witness.

10. When Callisto leaves he encounters Cedric waiting for who begs him to go north and the rebels are overpowering the troops. He's furious that the country can't seem to survive without him and the woman he loves is dying and he has no choice but to go and defend it. He tells Cedric to wait so he can say goodbye to Penelope. He tells her whether someone poisoned her or she drank it herself, it didn't matter. So long as he lived she wouldn't die. He tells her he'll come back and destroy everyone who did this to her and describes how he'd torture them but cuts off as he imagined her frowning and tell him to do it someplace she isn't there. He then breaks down and says he didn't mean to say that and to pretend he didn't and that he's just saying goodbye because he has to go urgently but please greet him when he gets back with open eyes. He promises to give her what ever she wants whether it's to leave this place or love, he'll do anything she wants so please don't die.

I have no good words for Derick... and I don’t like that Penelope dutifully takes all the blame, again ...

As for me I see that many of people want me to continue to post spoilers. So I have decided to keep posting translated parts of novel not spoilers. As there are people who are already posting spoilers it would be more reasonable for me to post translated novel itself.

I had already mentioned in last post that that spoiler was fully translated part of novel. So I decided to continue it. I know that there are people on Wattpad who are already translating this novel. But they are too slow (in my opinion). In Ridibooks novel there are 21 chapters (the main story) which are divided on 4 volumes. And they have translated 5 chapters + a beginning of 6th chapter. I am currently translating 10th chapter.

What do you think about it? Should I post translated novel or not? After all this forum is for spoilers not for translation. Of course I can also post my translation on Wattpad. But there are some problems. First of all I don’t know Korean so I use MTL, that’s why my translation may be not fully accurate. Secondly English isn’t my first language and I doubt that it can be even called “average” (although some people call it “perfect” ). Thirdly I don’t know how to divide this novel because I don’t have access to Kakaopage. One translated chapter of Ridibooks is quite large. You can compare them: 21 chapters of Ridibooks VS 231 (!!!) chapters of Kakaopage (and it includes only main story).

Ah, it is really so frustrating, I myself more prefer to post my translation here because I don’t need to be too perfect Would it be alright if I will continue to post it here?

@Elyriona I will appreciate everything you post here. I would love to read the translated novel and spoilers, we, who loves this novel are reliant only to your kindness and generosity in posting your translation here. Technically, anything that is related to this novel, I want to read it.

Finally someone calls out Derick!! Ugh man. I'm glad I sensed the "trash" vibes from him since the trial incident. I can only say, his character is irredeemable.

It's very irritating that a rumor that she drank the poison for attention was going around but what's more irritating is that this idea came from her family, AKA DERRICK, who should be defending her instead of blaming her and claiming she's an attention whore. I hope Derrick would just shut up for the rest of his life.

I still wonder what kind of "love" Derrick has for Penelope because he obviously doesn't trust her and would rather lock her up (he said this during his talk with the Duke before the hunting competition).
