Ruth, the magician in Riftan's team, told Maxi about it. Then she helped Riftan and his team defeat the Trolls which caused her to be heavily injured and get miscarriage because she didn't know she was pregnant....

When I was checking out some spoilers , there was some confusion . It was like , but he knew he had to , for she was to be strong . I’ll check it again , as I’m confused by the timeline presented . till chapter 170 , she miscarries and riftan gets to know about the abuse and then she goes to the academy they are saying with a separation period of 3 years is what I understood here
What happened when they meet after the 3 years? How was their reunion? Someone spoil the moment in wich Riftans said he woudnt wait for her (of course is not true) and Max went to the Academy thinking that way so i'm very curious about their reunion
My analysis about the father, from what i've read so far and from what the spoilers have been saying, is that their father loves his family reputation so much. He is also insecure and have an inferriorty-superiority kind of complex. He can't take any kind of road blocks on his side, its always the other person who is incompetent... His not powerful at all as the early spoilers said he is cowardly person who only know how to pretend to be inpower because of his family name and money. So he can only feel powerful by abusing his daugthers, and i think he blames them that their is no one in the family that will bring glory to his family name because they are girls... he does not have any son at all, no one to continue the family line as girls are to be married. His family name will end in his generation. I remember reading that he sees as a curse. Especially sees it to Max as to why many people do not want to have any connections to him, when in truth people don't want any connections to him because of his actions and personality. Hmm i notice... the author love the 3 yr separation too much i mean they separated for 3 years in the begining of the marraige and now another 3 yrs for max to go to magic school...
