one thing this novel is both really good at and bad at is keeping you on the edge of your seat. when something is happening, you can definitely feel like every word you are reading has you gripped, but other times the story stalls to a crawl, probably because it has to to balance out the extremely suspenseful moments, but they still stand out like sore thumbs because of it.
This is pretty much much the more interesting/compelling but infinitely less funny version of Second Coming of Gluttony.

 

welp. it happened. the absolute bullshit plot armour. let's see if the author can appropriately justify writing random power boosts to make the mc win a fight he should normally lose and couldn't win with wits. Could have made the dopplergangers have more draw back and write a clever way for him to escape so he can be saved by the original. She's supposed to be the top dog and he far far below her.

 

My heart has melted. i love it when the author writes like this. the relationship between them is so meaningful to both. didn't realize how much she blatantly loves him. it's also nice to see he still has some self depreciation, those 2100 years just feel very surreal to read about regarding him just not caring about his influence on the world when just a few chapters earlier he had concerns. i still didn't like the temp power up he got but i'll give it a pass since it has a cost.

 

It is sudden, but author has been setting it up for a while. Mc wanted the armor as it was supposed to bring out his potential, but it didn't work out but kept the armor as it still was good gear. Later his blacksmith fixed it up as she was interested in it. Then the ghost possessed it who claimed to be better than a god. Its bs but its was set up. Would be better if mc said he tested it beforehand.

 

mm mm MM! chapter 114 was satisfying. like the first lick of a vanilla ice cream cone on a hot and dry 90 degree day.
MC is living that Drama action tragedy slow progression weak to strong life while his future wife is out here doing the Rom-Com OP MC strong to stronger world stomp. I would almost like to see a short 50 chapter series on what Ouji board was doing these past 9 years. but its full comedy setting.
