Webnovel at it again xD

Just saw that one of my daily novels
Worlds’ Apocalypse Online
Just got bought out to webnovel. So now 700 chapters are just gone. And the translator now has to reupload everything from the start again at nearly same rate ( 2 chapters a day ) which is going to take like 6 months before we even get to a actual new chapter. So disappointed rn cuz we HAD to stop at a good part and now I’m going to need to wait months to even continue reading. Are they just milking out the money from the novel or what...

 

Sucks when that happens. There's no MTL anywhere?

 

Don't forget about the probable paywall-only access of the end of the novel too, as it is one of their habits...

Are they making you pay twice for chapters you already brought/unlocked?

There is nothing wrong with paywalls. Webnovels isnt the only site that asks money for access. However... with paying, at least give quality service and openness.

Anyways, i had a friend found out about webnovels. Told her pirate sites exists. Never went back.

 

It depends on the novel, some have more than half of their chapters paywalled, and if you want to read all of it you'll need to pay more than what it would had cost you for a full dead tree hard back and color illustrated collector edition of all the volumes...

 

Simple solution just show the middle finger to QD, I as well as many users done it pretty long ago.
Nowadays I don't really read CN works as u don't know when they gonna be swallowed by the likes of QD.


Side note: Wuxiaworld does the whole money making thing in best possible way. Others should try to follow there method which is pretty much good for everyone.

Well, that only applies if you pay actual money. There's nothing stopping you from making 30 disposable emails and 30 accounts. Then you could get 90 free chapters a day.

 

LNMTL even started before the HTL did afaik, though under a slightly different name.

All Heaven Armageddon or something? not sure because I didn't read it there.

 

Too bad that many CN novels are more than a thousand chapters long then...
And that's too much of a hassle, especially if most of the chapters you trudge through this way are fillers.

 

On the web page announcement he has changed to to 4-7 months since he couldn't upload all at once.

And anyway I don't really care too much about the move to chidian since one can always find other ways to read the novels.

 

Ah, Qishit. They're the only exception I have to the 'no aggregators' policy I take. Maybe it's hypocritical, but I honestly don't care. They paywall an insanely large chunk of the novels they acquire, and on top of that the translations aren't exactly that great despite the amount of money going in.
Though at least this time they aren't outright stealing the translation and dmca'ing the og translators and their website

 

Oh well, that novel is on my "waiting for more chap" list.
I guess there is no reason to wait any longer.

 

Tbh if the translator doesn't have a choice, then I think him moving to webnovel and still continue being the translator is for the best imo instead of someone else coming and messing up the terms.

 

All i know is Qi also have the Solo Leveling season 2. So i got a ton of worries waiting for the next manhwa chapters.
