LOL this story has 2 endings based on what went down. So, the real BOSS of the story, original demon king Yuan Tian (?) whose body MC is inhabiting, stabs ML to trigger MC out of the body back to Earth. Yuan Tian wants to see Ye Wenhua (?) again, who was First Emperor (they're another borderline-BL story in this novel), and that can only happen when MC is on Earth as 'creator god.' The 2 possible endings: 1. MC goes back to Earth. He arranges for his own 'death' (i.e. transmigration) before finishing the story -- he writes that the three Kings (of the races, meaning ML, protag, & Yuan Tian) cooperate to achieve their respective goals. ML wants MC back, protag wants to go home back to earth, and Yuan Tian doesn't care how but he wants to see Ye Wenhua again. MC picks up the phone is transmigrated via electrocution. Totally not an original death lol, but whatever, it works. MC's body was prepared by Yuan Tian for him (sans Yuan Tian's soul), but it's underage again and will need to grow naturally. 2. MC tries various methods once back on Earth to go back, but nothing works. He's got an adoptive brother he cares about who's dying of some terminal disease and needs a transplant. MC gives himself up to be a donor, but things go wrong during the surgery and MC is dying. Around this point, ML shows up. He force-feeds MC pills and scares people, but hey, he wipes their memories later. Turns out ML 'broke' or destroyed the novel world by killing protag. Yuan Tian was okay with this because he's very...... well, he's got a really weird sociopath/nothing-matters kind of personality. His only fixation is with Ye Wenhua anyway. MC is with ML for good, but they'll both be regular mortals because laws of 'Earth' world will be imposed on them both over time. Also, it seems like protag really is a closet bisexual. LOL He tried to make up with ML after he found out that Yuan Tian was the hand behind the scenes causing him and ML to misunderstand each other, resulting in ML dying (he transmigrated back in time like ML). Protag was killed in original timeline by the lover he had a soul-contract with -- she couldn't stand up to the aura/control Yuan Tian exerted over all demonkind (she was a demon). Actually, ML at that point had given up on the world and everything, so he made it easy for protag to kill him. Yes, he knew protag didn't mean to kill him. No, he doesn't care about protag. (but protag cares about him, lololol) MC is a jar of vinegar. One of reasons he's so eager to send away protag back to Earth is because he notices protag's ambiguous looks at ML. The last ending extra seems to suggest Ending 1 = True Ending. It involves MC and ML in the novel world being lovey-dovey.
Back at the original emperor gen time conspiracies happened there was war btw humans devils 1st devil took some drug? went crazy did lot of murdering and shit. But 1st emperor didn't wanna kill him so he sealed him instead.(1st devil let him seal him) After 1st emperor dead, 1st devil kept sealing himself so he could sleep but would wake up from time to time to take care of the devil race as it's emperor.
Adding to that: -1st demon is a sh-t king. MC says this, not me. He's pretty irrresponsible. But then again, weirdo sociopath does not make for good king material. -when 1st demon woke up from seal (1st time seal weakened and he woke up), 1st emperor died. MTL doesn't make it clear whether this is on purpose (on emperor's part) or just bad luck. -humans & demons used to be buddy-buddy back in the old days. It was only after racial tensions cropped up that 1st emperor & 1st demon had to pretend not to be friends (well, at least for 1st emperor, since he wasn't a terrible king) for the good of their respective race -can't remember if 1st demon getting drugged was because of 1st demon's fiancee or 1st emperor's fiancee. One of them had a fiancee who did the drugging, at any rate. That's how 1st demon went on a rampage. He wasn't too guilty about it (again, sociopath), but he probably wouldn't have done it without the drug making him go berserk
I finished MTLing the novel and my understanding of the pronouns he/she has gone to hell... and Oh God their interactions are so cute ML knows how MC thinks and his sneaky way of doing things is so funny .... and poor kitty always being forgotten is hilarious though I would have liked to read the black unicorn pov as well ... If first ending is true I hope the author writes extras detailing their grown up life together at least give some snu-snu and how Ml reacted to MC admission of being creator God and what it entails... and in the second ending... how does ML react and adjust to the modern world...
