I've recently set off on my journey of buying manga and light novels. Before a few weeks ago, I never thought about buying manga, but when I watched Attack on Titan, I instantly fell in love with the series and started to buy the manga for it. I started to order the manga from Aot from amazon, and when they came I noticed a lot of issues with the mangas. Some of the covers were bent in half so there were creases and others had dents on the sides. I wasn't to suprised though as many of the reviews on amazon for the mangas warned of damage to some of the manga.

What are some of your worst experiences with buying manga? What is some of the worst conditions you've recieved your manga in?

I never recieved a manga in worst condition cuz I only bought a few...
it was the worst choice ever for me since u can read manga free online and it'd cost like 5-20 euro for 1 volume [maybe cheaper if the manga wasn't popular]

If you live in North America, I recommend ordering manga from rightstuf. They always have really fantastic packaging, and I've never gotten a damaged manga from them.

Ordering online from a brick and mortar bookstore works too. I occasionally order from B&N whenever they have their buy two get one free sales, and while they aren't quite as good as rightstuf in packaging, there's never any damage to the books themselves, considering they are, you know, a bookstore.

if you bought from amazon you should be able to get a refund pretty easily unless they changed policies recently usually they don't even ask for proof if an order is under 200 dollars.

I second the Right Stuf recommendation. Always got things in good condition from them, they're my go-to for buying. If there is anything worth buying in the insipid past few seasons. Nothing but copies and mimicry.

My collection is 100% digital. I don't have to deal with that shit. Or the space to store it. Hard drives are cheap and store far more than paper.

My former stepdad worked at a bookstore here in Denmark, so I always got a 40% family-discount - so no need to order online. Those were good times, and I’ve got 5 full bookcases as proof :blobsmirk:
