my hair always grows really thick really fast so i use a VS Sassoon Crew Cut clipper to shave it down low. Makes things so much quicker and easier (no more monthly barber visits) plus crew cut requires no maintenance.
without decent cutting tools ? forget it with decent cutting tools still should be better to let someone else operate it except you plan to go bald or some military short hair cut my sister once cut the hair of my brother the result was exotic if plucked count as exotic working with a scissor on yourself might be as good as a dentist doing his own teeth
Depends on your expectations. If you are going for even cut throughout all of your head, it's really easy to do. You can feel excess hairs with your fingers. I cut my own hair throughout college. It's really if you go semi bald.
I’m relieved I’m not the only one. My hair grew so long that it reaches my eyebrows! My barber keeps bailing on me and there’s no reliable barber shop! My hair too long it’s embarrassing. I really want to make myself bald but don’t know how
The only thing I ever done is trim my front hair so it don't stab my eyes and shave my sides so my ears aren't irritated.
I've been cutting my own hair since before covid as well as my sister's hair. if your cutting your own hair the back is difficult and may end up messed up but if you have a relative do it make sure there actually competent I asked my sister to get the back and she cut half my bangs super short I didn't even want anything but the back cut I just shaved half my head to fix it.
if you want simple or military style haircut yeah you can do it alone~ for back side kinda need second mirror similarly with ear side cuz if you careless you may hurt your ear~ you also need hmm trim your side after cut with scissors, you may use soap or shave cream before da trim so not get skin irritation~ just use razor? for da trim~ hmm put on mind when cut upside area hmm da upper head cuz it usually if you mistake da cut it feel weird~ don't cut handful hair at once just use index and middle finger to hold your hair~ if you use scissors back area is hardest one~ scissors, hand mirror, mirror, razor, soap~ well if you have hair shave thing on barber shop that better~ oh you can use at least two type of scissors~ da sharp one to cut and less sharp for random style~
Yea, I've cut my own hair for years now. In front of the bathroom mirror I just use a cheap electric hair shaver with a size four hair limit guide attachment until my hair is all of even length. It helps to put a sheet down on the ground to catch all your hair so you have less trouble cleaning it up later. Then I use a disposable razor to cut my sideburns to equal length, and cut the hair off the back of my neck. Last, I use scissors to cut the hair around my ears. Also, it helps to have a hand mirror for view the back. Works well enough for me, plus is cheap and easy.
It's hard to evenly trim the back of your head. You'll also need to slightly shave the lower back of your head, so that it won't look odd.
I got a buzz cut 2 months into the start of the lockdown and another one last week. Which seems to be what most of my acquaintances and friends also did. Like most already said, its quite easy. But watching some videos shouldn't hurt. Don't google how to do it, google what to avoid doing instead.
