Why Do Beggars/Vagrants Have No Pimples

So~ I am making this really weird thread because I would like to know your thoughts about it.

You see, my Mom, younger Sis and I were discussing skin problems when said sister (who has the clearest skin among us; like she literally has no pimples, marks and her pores are basically non- existent) pointed out that she doesn't even take baths everyday during this quarantine and that beggars/vagrants on the street also have no acne or skin problems when they don't even have skin care routine or baths for that matter.

So yeah, why indeed? And if you have any skin care tips you wanna share, then please do so! ♡

They lick eachother to keep clean.

 

It's because they got immune from all the dirt and oil that their skin became resistant to skin blemishes

 

HAHAHAHA! But err, no thank you~ I value my cleanliness and the olfactory senses of those around me

 

So like, their saliva has a cleaning properties? *also ends up imaging only cats and cats and more cats licking each other clean*

 

.... I demand justice! But then why do peeps who have a lot of pimples aren't immune in the long run? Aren't pimples have too many dirt and oil in them? T__T

 

That one is probably genetics or it could be a sign of a skin disease one that causes you to have pimple breakouts 365 days a year

 

To the best of my (limited) knowledge, pimples are caused by
1) hormone imbalances
2) food you eat
and skincare just helps reduce them.

So maybe it is a food thing? Although I have seen beggars with pimples...

 

Likely genetics or their skin is actually covered in an excess amount of dirt and grime. That being said, I have seen lots of homeless with skin ailments (zits and acne).

 

Some people have skin prone to be dry some have skin prone to be oily which is indeed based on genetics but also is influenced by our lifestyle. Vagrants bodies adapt to worse food and to worse conditions. Despite how strange it may sound being in comfort conditions may negatively influence your body

 

Must be all the drugs they're taking.

 

As Teadragon said, food is one of the causes. Most of the homeless cannot afford to buy junk food (as in candy, etc.). That doesn't make them free of acne though.

I will say that if they do have acne, it might be due to drugs. There are a couple ones that cause acne. This is not an all-inclusive statement however, the idea that all homeless people are drug addicts is a stereotype .

 

no food with any oil. or food at all. if you don't touch your face. you can reduce a lot of pimples there.

 

Pimples usually are because of the diet afaik.

 

I heard mud is great for deep cleaning pores

 

I've read thaf under uncomfortable conditions our body turns into self protection mode or something and outs more resources into maintanence and cleaning up leftover proteins instead of higher random cell division or sth

Pimples are typically related to luxury foods that are fatty/oily like cheese or chocolates. Not the kind of food you'd get much off if you're without money.

And yeah . hormone imbalances from malnourishment might be an influence, we'd have to see if anorexic people are less prone to pimples as well.
