Discussion What's your favorite type of fish/fish product?

I've been eating a lot of canned smoked tuna and it's not bad.

BONUS QUESTION: What fish product do you hate?

I have a distinct memory of one of my relatives heating up a fish pie in the microwave. The resulting stench clinged to the kitchen for days and the microwave even longer which made me vomit.

I've had an intense disgust for fish pie's ever since.

 

Salmon is really nice in most states. Crab make amazing soup. Clam and prawn for roasting. As well as basically all sashimi (except sea urchin, that one can go to the dumpster).

PS: Microwaves really should come with biohazard warning for fishes.

 

I'll spare you the images, but 'penis fish' comes to mind.

I abhor cod or any kind of fatty/oily fish.... The taste jus overwhelms me.... I also do not like bony fishes like pomfret..

In general I do still like salmon or tuna, even sea bass,those fishes that don't have a very heavy fishy taste or smell and have big flakes of meat

 

salmon in any form of cooking. deep fried sea fish or the grilled ones. those fresh sea fishes taste really sweet and tasty. eat it with a bowl of hot rice and spicy sambal is the best! deep fried or stewed squid dishes. spicy sour crab stew. anyway, seafood for me is heaven. i live in a coastal country so eating seafood dishes is part of my everyday life. hehehe

 

Ohh...for eating. I was going to recommend a fish in my aquarium.

 

Koi is my favorite fish to see. My fav fish for eating is one you can't get anymore, Orange Roughy or Deep Sea Perch. Darn overfishing. It tasted so good too

 

I like catfish, both as pet and as food. They're really delish being fried or smoked, or barbecued.

I also like silver catfish. But at my country, silver catfish is really pricey, a normal catfish is really cheap though.

I don't hate fish in general, but i still dislike fish with a lot of tiny bones in them. You can never eat in peace with this kind of fish.

I also hate to eat crap and avoided it because how troublesome it makes me works just to pry open the shell. I love the taste though

 

I don't like to eat most fish products except for few ones but I like tuna (especially on pizza )

 

Blue marlin and tuna~!! I love them as sashimi, sushi or in ceviche *wipes drool*
That very fresh, clear meat just makes my heart go dokidoki.

What I don't like (not hate though) are fish intestines made into condiments... @_@

 

Salmon, smoked or turned into teriyaki jerky.
Butter poached salmon with dill isnt bad either.

 

Not fond of fishes per se unless it's fried or fillet. But I like seafoods though especially shelled ones like crabs, oysters and mollusks, I also like octopuses and squids and shrimps~ ♡

Hated fish: F I S H underwater

As for favorite fish product, i love pressured milkfish and salted snakehead fish.
I eat all kind of fishes because that's my only meat intake. But, i dislike any other seafood except for the fishes (oyster, crab, pram, squid)

 

Clam chowder. Wait a minute, seafood in general. You cannot go wrong with that.

I have seen these buggers around the house and have to kill them. I didn't know you like this Pass. I can save them and send to you.

 

Yellowfin Tuna... taste like meat
