Specifically what tropes do you like and dislike.

Mine-

Likes - cultivation level breakthroughs, treasure hunts, special technique trainings, wild jungle adventures, auctions, scheming, gaining a beast companion ( except dogs ).

Dislikes - shouting techniques, clenching fists, exponential growth in luck, rapid power saturation, cliche team mates ( the fat one, cold one, mystery, the ignored, pompous one), ranking of beauties ( top 3 fairies of south region), cliche description of beauties ( jade, extremely, heavenly, better than the previous jade white extremely beauty found in Kanto region).

Useless fl hyped to be a heaven defying talent but suddenly all that vanish infront of our mc "trash talent", can't even clear the love matter within her clan always need mc to showcase himself like a baboon in some childish competition), testosterone induced young masters( and in influence of viagra) I've never understood why ? Why make them more stupid than our ancestors (Neanderthals).

Stupid humanity syndrome in mc, being moralistic to humans but suddenly lose that towards beasts that did nothing to him ( but it changes if they are females in human form then they are humans and their beast side is ignored even forced to agree that it's their sin to be a beast), female complex ( cautious and edgy and making all males with ulterior motives but females being soft naive and damsels that needs protection. And even those villianous females are either pus filled old hags so it's fine for them to be killed or the young and beautiful ones are just forgiven).


misplaced timeskips ( hyping for that one thing for an entire arc then boom when it actually arrives it just skips over years after that), audience commentary ( fuck it's the whole story, everything we learn is from some random guys who happened to be near and know details and are for some stupid reason saying it all out )

World revolving around weak mc ( he's still in core formation or something but world collapsing level of problems are for some inexplicable reasons forced to be solved by these juniors).

Hmmm, their plot basicly always same even in same novel.
Too agresive MC.
Many novel didn't have character development at all, the MC just become ruthless that all.

 

I pretty much agree with everything OP said. With 2 additions:
I like a good face-slap and curb-stomp.

I dislike how MC's are often (always) the supposed underdog and no antagonist ever takes the MC seriously until right before they die.

I also dislike how MC's are always stronger in their current realm than people 2 full realms or stages up. It doesn't make sense. So MC's energy is purer at the same quantity so he is in realm 4 (by quantity) but the quality makes him equal to rank 6. Doesn't that mean he should be identified as rank 6 by virtue of power projection? Or do people only judge based on quantity? Because that isn't how the world works now is it...

Finally: Practically all MC's use cheats. A god item, godly teachers, being from a top world and living in a lowest lvl world, superb techniques from previous lives etc. And the MC is always hailed as a genius (after the obligatory "trash" phase)!!

Face slapping Arrogant young masters is the only thing that feels satisfying.

When he gathers beauties , he won't realise that they are actually in love with him because he is that strong. If he is at that beginning 'Trash' level , will they even care?
Then , comes the mysterious Godly parents who for reason leaves their son in a backwater country or village for some who knows why reason . What if he didn't made it to the top , by some reason let's say he is stuck at the bottom forever and died as a mortal , are they going to do something?
Then the classic YIN-ICE-JADE-BODY/YIN MARTIAL SPIRIT BEAUTY that is a cold beauty with heaven defying talent from an All female sect. Who will end up with MC despite the condition of her All female sect demands to be single forever.
Females are always Phoenix's and the MC is always a dragon.
Apparently , Dragons are top of the world ,I mean they are not wrong but it has become a trend that Males are always Dragons.
