if its real how many large meteoroid hit earth ? Large as a destroying atleast 1km radius because there is many little meteoroid that hits earth every year
it is fictional though there were big meteor impacts on earth though it is really rare like 180ish? since some million years
If you know your astrophysics and math, reverse calculating the residue (heat) or impact (damage) done with the distance covered from orbit to ground. I'm spewing bullshit, aren't I? I hope not.
agreed big bros around us taking most of the impact while lil sis earth escapes most but it was fictional , and if it did hit us, it wouldnt just end up with one town wiping out, It would result in collateral damage across earth
if 1 km diameter asteroid hit earth surface you will see world apocalypse setting~ earth surface is more fragile compared with moon you know~ to destroy 1 km area on earth surface on other hand it require da asteroid size upon touch earth surface atleast..... why should this cat know? it physic theory plus astronomy~ that beyond this cat ability~
Just want to point out that this is a fringe idea unsupported by the majority of scientific community. The asteroid believed to have killed the dinosaurs was 11 to 81 kilometers in diameter. If a fist-sized meteorite can cause what is similar to a nuclear winter that lasts long enough to kill the dinosaurs from the cold, that meteor would be either an extremely dense material unknown to mankind or all the dinosaurs were pansies who couldn't withstand five minutes worth of cold weather. Was it really jupiter? Not ur anus?
To answer the question, it could be real, but so far, no populated area has been hit like that yet. Ai-chan thinks our alien overlords are shooting them down as they approach. Ai-chan guess that the asteroid that hit the town in the movie was the size of a trailer truck, with an iron-nickel core. Why would our alien overlords protect us you ask? Why not? Humans make great sex slaves and pets. Anal probing is real, folks. So does enemas. Enemas are great, especially when you are constipated.
Nope, I am afraid a fist size wouldn't do much. May be kill a dino if it were a close enough, but definitely not wipe out all of em. For that the meteor would have to be in kilometers. As in ~1-1+ kilometers. Think about it, meteors the size of fist are all around the world in museums. A rail gun fires projectiles that is bigger and faster than a fist sized meteor.
Ehh? What! Which enlightenment soul told you that?!. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicxulub_crater And it's an asteroid, that needs to be above many hundreds of metres to qualify as asteroid. A meteorite is common, every day hundreds and thousands enter, fist size ones can be found with collectors all over, I'm guessing it's not even worthy to be kept in museum if it's less than millions of year old.
meteorites hit all times. https://spaceplace.nasa.gov/asteroid-or-meteor/en/ It's simple and engaging please read.
I once did a check to see how big/heavy/dense a "Rod from God" Thor satellite projectile had to be to qualify as a practical tactical weapon. Using impact craters and meteor estimates, a 100m crater requires a 30-80 ton nickel-iron asteroid to hit the surface. To get "world ending" or "city ending" results, you'll need a lot more than 30 tons generating a 100m diameter crater.
