Try Douluo Dalu. I'd say it has got a really strong romance. Very loyal and such. Exactly what you're looking for. Also try Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria. Its umm...complicated. The thing I can compare this to the most is probably Mirai Nikki...though the plot isn't similar in anyway. Its got romance...but the novel mostly focuses on mindfuckery. What I do love about this novel is that all the characters are super smart including MC and FMC.
