article: https://nyannet.com/fakku-taking-le...company-over-trademarking-of-the-word-ahegao/ < Uhm yeah the world already hates you yet this kind of people keeps pouring oil into the fire.... < Now you want the porn industry to hate you? < Can you even trademark such thing?
I guess that China got into #boycottfakku too lmao. All I can see is an unscrupulous business being ***** by another unscrupulous chinese business. Fitting, isn't it?
Why would anyone even care what China wants? You could trademark the hell out of a product and they'd still steal it/make an inferior product of it. At least Japan has the competency to (most of the time) go legal and make a better product.
I can only say that makes no sense. The whole thing from start to finish comes from Japan (no puns intended). The art style and the term are all Japan heck the term itself is the usual otaku slang. How they can claim any rights to it and worse for someone to accept that the company has some kind of ownership is beyond me. How can you copyright an art style or expression? Sure someone was the first to draw it and should be able to claim recognition for that but I don't think that can involve any form of copyright that they could use to claim others owe them money for the right to use it. It just doesn't work the same way music does for example. I mean hell, could you imagine if everyone had to pay to be able to draw chibi characters or shoujo style or even a portrait? It is madness. Now the term itself I can only imagine if you turned it into a brand name. Then you could have some rights in its use and used the picture/image as a symbol for the brand. That said there are still limits, I mean Apple and it's badge/symbol. Pretty simple but the badge is unique enough to claim some ownership but they can't go around demanding people pay them every time they use the word. The fruit was named such before them and even with them having as much money and power as they do no-one would accept if they tried it or tried to change the name of the fruit since they 'own' the word. So, in that case, the company would have come up with their own twist of the image to make it their own. I mean just how many companies use a horse for example as a symbol yet each one is different enough from the other to make it unique to them. Honestly, if I was Fakku I'd just tell them to Fakk off!
Wtf you can't copyright someone else's language and turn it into your brand. That's bullshit. Fakku off indeed.
Ah, I saw this in a Lost Pause video. Their fuck'en companies sure love claiming anything for their own, huh? I hope the Japs ahegao-fied them.
Well, a quick search at us trademark portal stated that the the word "ahegao" Has indeed been trademarked. That trademarked word seems to not have any relationship with the pic shown in the video tho, since the registered tm is only for the words. But cmiiw
Chinese is so shameless, that they done their scheme openly. And had the government to cover for them cuz they don't want to anger the Chinese
Well, considering that they used to steal Apple's iPhone technology and design, then make an exact copy down to the microchips with their brand on it, and then suing Apple for 'stealing' their technology and IP, Ai-chan doesn't think Chinese companies should be trusted with anything. Let's not forget the numerous copyright and patent infringement that Chinese companies have been doing for decades. Ai-chan's personal view is that if a company from China tries to claim copyright, patent or trademark infringement, we as the citizens of the free world should just deliver FREEDOM on that company's offices and factories. You know, deliver a clear message of "I hate shit in my mailbox."
China should really be given a lesson. World's corporation should move away their factory from china to southeast asia since asean have been a lot cheaper and easier for foreign investor(and its have been happening because this covid19). That should give a really big impact to their economy also world nation should really be stricter about claiming territory on basis of history, damned greedy china claiming southchina sea.
